Mapping of the availability of the Occupational Therapy for people with acquired brain damage in Prague and Central Bohemia
Babincová, Hana ; Svěcená, Kateřina (advisor) ; Sládková, Petra (referee)
As it is evident from the title, the main aim of this thesis is to map the availability of occupational therapy for people with acquired brain damage in Prague and the Central Bohemia region. The first half of the theoretical part focuses on causes, incidence and consequence of acquired brain damage. The other half deals with occupational therapy within this target group with a particular focus on methods of obtaining information (interview, observation, questionnaires) and standardized tests. The last chapter points out the situation of people with acquired brain damage in the Czech Republic. On one hand, the chapter describes the ideal course of rehabilitation and the common course of rehabilitation in the Czech Republic on the other. Another part of the thesis focuses on the research based on questionnaire survey among occupational therapists working with people after acquired brain damage. The next aim of the research was to determine the availability of individual components - local, time, financial and qualitative. Key words: brain damage, symptoms after brain damage, occupational therapy, availability, mapping

Hovorková, Jana ; Sládková, Petra (advisor) ; Matolínová, Vendula (referee)
Current diagnostic methods in patients after brain damage in physiotherapy This bachelor thesis is focused on an application of current diagnostic methods to patients after brain damage in physiotherapy. This thesis includes topic of damage brain problems, mainly traumatic brain injury, brain cancer and stroke, which is often met in physiotherapy. Second part of bachelor thesis involves topic of motor-skill control, which is analysed mainly of neurological point of view. It involves spinal motor control, subcortical and cortical motor control. One section of second part was devoted to problems of stand and gait. The theoretical part was concluded with the description of functionality and usage of Screening test of mobility, which was used for testing of patients after the brain damage. The last chapter of the theoretical part is about evaluating by the International classification of functioning, disability and health using the results of the STM. In the practical part the casuistry of examined patients can be found, the Screening test of mobility and the International classification of functioning, disability and health was used for results investigation. In conclusion I mention STM and subsequent evaluation of its usability in practice for the functional evaluation of stand and gait, as well as...
Occupational initial examination from the perspective of International Classification of Functioning. Disability and Health
Hamplová, Pavla ; Svěcená, Kateřina (advisor) ; Sládková, Petra (referee)
The focus of this Bachelor's dissertation is International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) and its applicability to occupational therapy initial examination. This dissertation is divided into sections: theoretical and practical. Basic terminology as well as the ICF framework, goals, philosophy, development and the overview of its components can be found in theoretical section. Moreover, it describes the links between rehabilitation, occupational therapy and the ICF. The end of the theoretical part gives information about occupational therapy examination. Practical section explores possible use of the ICF in occupational therapy initial examination. The main goal of practical part is to create an occupational therapy initial examination form based on the ICF and to apply it on patients. This form ought to be practically used by The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague and General University Hospital in Prague.
The purpose of physiotherapy in high-performance cycling for the physically challenged, focused on possible complications prevention
Hanušová, Renata ; Honzátková, Lenka (advisor) ; Sládková, Petra (referee)
My bachelor work is occupying with prevention and compensation problems of efficiency handcycling with handicapped sportsmen. Physically handicapped persons have an opportunity of sport activities relative same as persons with no handicap. Important is to look on their actual state of health. Especially height of spinal lesion affects in the handcycling choice of race handbike, suitable training plan and finaly also opportunities of use of compensative methods. Compensative methods are very important because of prevention against source of possibly complications. In the theoretic part of bachelor work I am occupying with neurological diagnosis of spinal leesion. Further familiarization with efficiency handcycling and with handbike. In the next charter I am devoting to problems of the most often arising complications of efficiency sport with physically handicapped. This chapter is divided on anatomy-kinesiologic and pathologic part. Practical part of my bachelor work contains research of the issue, which is analyzed by study of two casuistries. Research is especially occupied by the effect of therapy applied in clinic casuistries on two clients. Part of practical part is also the term of bachelor work and the research question. Further the description of chosen compensative methods of handcycling....
