Historical development and comparison of chosen methodologies for managing ICT projects

Bachelor thesis deals with problems of ICT project management methodologies. The thesis sets out a total of three objectives. The first objective is to identify, characterize and describe uniformly chosen methodologies for managing ICT projects and to map their historical development. The second objective is to compare chosen methodologies according to set of specific criteria. The third objective is to select a suitable methodology for the specified model of ICT departments or companies based on their organizational culture and type of solved projects. In the theoretical part of this thesis basic concepts relating to the issue are defined at first and then chosen methodologies are identified and described uniformly. In the analytical part of the thesis the specific criteria are determined and the methodologies are compared on the base of them. There are also shown and justified reasons for selection of suitable methodology for a model of ICT department or company. Author's own contribution to the problem lies mainly in the comparison of chosen methodologies and, in a reasoned selection of a suitable methodology for a model of ICT department or company.
The possibilities of using social networks in company

Social networks are on the rise. They are used by businesses of all sizes and across industries. But they are really the way to increase employee productivity, increase sales and overall interest in the company? Or is it just a fashion trend? Possibilities of using social networking as a tool to support business are widely debated. This paper is a summary of objective and subjective views and experiences with the use of social networking in the company. Author acquaints readers with the possibilities of using social networks for internal communication. It places emphasis on practical experience and concepts of various public social networks, and compares them with private social networks. It then discusses the possibilities of using social networks for external communication and marketing presentation, again with emphasis on the real usability and concept of each individual network. The paper also listed the most recent studies and surveys that show the importance and development of social networks in the 21st century. The aim is to form a comprehensive overview of the utilization of social networking in a company with a focus on internal communication and communication with the surrounding businesses.
Possible ways to gain information about internet users.

This thesis is aimed on internet security, gaining the anonymity and creating a guide to increase self defense of internet users. The goal of this paper is to describe the types of cyber attacks that can be done on internet users and to describe circular flow of information about users on internet and its use by third parties. Additional goal is to design the ways of reaching the anonymity on internet and to provide a guide to increase a self defense of the users. This thesis gradually describes creation of internet, world-wide-web and web standards, which is important for understanding the vulnerability of today's internet. Thesis is complemented by enumeration of relevant protocols of ISO/OSI model, which has share on user's everyday communication. Next part pass to attacks itself both technical based (e.g. Man-In-The-Middle) and social based (e.g. Phishing). This paper also aims on collecting the data of internet users by third parties and on the ways how to prevent it and reach the anonymity on the internet. End of this paper belongs to the list of security steps for standard internet users, by which they will be able to minimize the risk to minimum. Final chapter presents online blog that was created to enhance awareness of internet users.
Usage of the Internet Marketing and Social Networks used for an Internet Shop Support

The thesis is about internet marketing tools and their possible usage, shown on exact example from internet shop Minibike-shop.cz. The thesis is divided in three logical parts, which are built on each other. There are theoretically described tools in the first part, which can be used for an online promotion of the shop. The individual tools describe their advantages and possibilities of usage, which can result in improvement of business competitiveness. The fourth chapter of the thesis is completely devoted to social networks in Czech Republic and possibilities, which are offered by these networks to businesses. One of the chapters of the theoretical part of the thesis is a chapter devoted to indicators, which will help us measuring company's marketing success. Second part of the thesis is focused on a chosen shop analysis and its competitors according to the theoretical assumptions set up in first part of the thesis. Web pages audit of the individual shops is completed on the top of that, resulting in showing lack of their qualities. Third part of the thesis is devoted to a strategy proposal, which is based on shortages found out in the analyst part. Aim of the strategy is to eliminate detected mistakes and also gain competitive advantage. The thesis is ended by conclusion, which is devoted to the thesis summary and evaluation of the set goals. The main benefit of the thesis is the competitive analysis completed for the internet shop Minibike-shop.cz. and the proposed strategy on company's marketing growth. The strategy will manage to increase an amount of visitors and their satisfaction, resulting in an increase of the company's profit.
Analysis and future of electronic market for entertainment industry and media

This thesis analyzes today's digital market of interactive entertainment and movie industry in the Czech Republic. Essential legal terms and new regulatory changes are described, providing descriptions of subjects involved, means of distribution and main online services present in the Czech market. Further on, the issue of digital piracy is dealt with, focusing mainly on its structure, participants and reasons of its existence. Social networks in the Czech republic

The first purpose of this study is to introduce the terms social group and social network, define the main reasons of their formation and describe individual subjects of these social relations. The following part introduces the term Social Networking Site, including its brief history in the Czech Republic and foreign. The study provides a comparison of selected Czech social networks with a worldwide phenomenon - Facebook. It analyses the causes of the current situation through a comparison in services and through an inquiry answered by social network users. This analysis provides a list of unique features for each site. It also provides an image of the social network's position in our society. The next part describes present trends in this field. On this basis, the last part features possible future evolution scenarios of social networks. Regarding today's situation, when only one company dominates this segment, the scenarios are globally orientated. The study includes both strengths and weaknesses of social networks. It can serve as a basis for developing an optimal social network in the future.
Social Networking: The origin, development and possible future

The aim of this thesis is to document the history and development of social networks, to categorize them, then analyze and describe possible risks and benefits associated with them. Part of this work is also devoted to the possible directions of further development of social networks. These goals have been achieved through the internet and book resources, analysis of specific social network services and sociological research. The main contribution of this work includes a comprehensive overview of the history of social networking, creating an appropriate way to categorize, a detailed description of the most serious risks, and finally an estimate of future trends.
Improving the competitiveness of ecommerce shop by using Internet social networking site Facebook

This bachelor thesis is dedicated to enhance the competitiveness of comerce shop using the Internet social networking site Facebook. In the beginning of this thesis the basic information about Internet marketing, marketing communication and the environment where this communication takes place are described. In the next section one can find the basic information about social media, Twitter and Facebook. Facebook is described in more details in the next chapter, in which one can also find information about the options of advertising on Facebook, its users and some of its features and capabilities offered. In the second half of this thesis one can find all the relevant information related to the creation of successful corporate presentation on Facebook. The next part of the thesis describes specific plan suggestions for corporate presentation on Facebook for eshop StreetKing.cz and following implementation of the suggested solution with the evaluation of available results. The main benefit of this thesis is for all marketers who stand before the foundation of its corporate presentation on Facebook.
Audit of the board game e-commerce web sites

This thesis deals with the audit of the board game e-commerce web sites. Nowa-days there is a great number of websites of varying quality, so it is necessary to choose between them. The development of the Internet shifted the emphasis from quantity to quality. With this fact comes the topic of auditing web sites. The first part of the thesis concerns with the theoretical bases of audit of web sites in various sections. The second part includes the representation of the mar-ket of board games and its target group. Based on the first theoretical part the evaluation criteria are created, which are used for the audit of seven selected web sides of board games. This audit is evaluated in the next chapter, which then leads into the conclusion of the work in the form of recommendations for changes in order to increase the competitiveness of each evaluated e-commerce.
Possibilities and specifications of usage of social networks in logistics

The main purpose of this thesis is to examine current most important social networks usable in Czech Republic and evaluate usefulness for logistic companies. The aims of thesis are basics of internet marketing, separation of social networks and evaluation their commercial potential. Author attaches his research in form of questionnaire aimed on current usage social networks in logistic companies and compiles recommendations how use social network for commercial purpose.
