Design of frequency filters by the method of autonomous circuit with multi-port current-controlled current sources
Janeček, Martin ; Herencsár, Norbert (referee) ; Kubánek, David (advisor)
The aim is to study the principles of controllable frequency current-mode filters. The paper summarizes the general characteristics of current elements. The work focuses on the element GCMI and its use in multi frequency current-mode filters. The filter is designed autonomous method. The filter is simulated with active elements of the OPA860 and AD844. Finally, in this work is multi-filter is implemented in a practical implementation of the active element OPA860.
Crash Analysis Portal
Janeček, Milan ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This work presents problems of software products field failure analysis and introduces terms a field failure and a system for field failures analysis. Rest of this work contains requirements analysis and design of one part of the system for field failures analysis a central. A part of the central is then implemented and design correctness and practical usability of the central is evaluated.
Methods of estimating costs for engineering and water management structures
Ovečková, Lenka ; Janeček, Michal (referee) ; Tichá, Alena (advisor)
Main intention of the thesis is to name and explain budgeting methods of building constructions with main focus on creating budget for water management and engineering structures. The practical part presents itemized budgets for a wastewater treatment plant and a bicycle trail. After that the price determined of the itemized budget is compared to the price determined by budget indicator.

Evaluation methods of life indurance products
Fojtík, Jan ; Janeček, Martin (advisor) ; Lozsi, Imrich (referee)
The thesis deals about methods widely used for life insurance products evaluation from the clients perspective. These methods of evaluation are important mainly for comparisons of several insurance products. One of goals of the thesis is to analyze existing methods used for evaluation of insurance products and discuss their suitability for comparing life insurance products. These methods are based mainly on cost analyses because they were originally developed especially for investments projects comparisons. The main goal of the thesis is to create new indices for comparing life insurance products. These new indices are supposed to resolve imperfections of regularly used evaluation methods. They are also designed to cover all functions of life insurance therefore they are supposed to provide with more coherent information for comparisons. The indices are based on knowledge of life insurance products, probability, demography, financial and insurance calculus.
Possible ways of determining value of Life Insurance Company
Zaderlíková, Šárka ; Janeček, Martin (advisor) ; Bílková, Diana (referee)
This thesis is focused on describing chosen methods used in liabilities valuation of Life Insurance Company. This is the basis for a valuation of whole Insurance Company. Next goal is real valuation of liabilities and the whole company. The value of liabilities is computed with the Market Consistent Embedded Value methodology and valuation of the company is expresed with Appraisal Value, which is currently one of the most widely used methods for valuation of a life Insurance Company. The valuation is based on values of a fictious company, but the used insurance portfolio corresponds with real life data. The valuation is computed in pessimistic, middle and optimistic variant of company development. Closing this thesis is a sensitivity analysis of assumptions, influencing value of MCEV, where a change of the costs and commisions proved to be of most significance.
Economic Scenario Generator Analysis (short rates)
Šára, Michal ; Janeček, Martin (advisor) ; Sitař, Milan (referee)
The thesis is concerned with a detailed examination of the most familiar short-rate models.Furthermore,it contains some author's own derivations of formulas for prices of interest rate derivatives and some relationships between certain discretizations of these short-rate models. These formulas are then used for calibration of ceratain chosen models to the actual market data. All the calculations are performed in R using author's own functions, which are along with the other more involved derivations placed in the appendix.
R&D performance management focused on information basis of SMA techniques in SME
Kubáňková, Marie ; Král, Bohumil (advisor) ; Wagner, Jaroslav (referee) ; Janeček, Miroslav (referee)
The importance of research and development (R&D) as a resource of knowledge that are of a key issue for many firms to achieve and sustain competitive advantage has been extensively debated in R&D management literature and also in practice theory approach to management accounting. There is a little research on practical implementation of the R&D performance management, R&D projects management. Strategic management accounting (SMA) has rather omitted the constant themes of managerial practise such as organisational resources, innovation or R&D management. Also the implementation of Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and management of small and medium size enterprises (SME) has been neglected by researchers. The presented dissertation addresses the above mentioned limitations, therefore the main objective was identified as creating a framework of R&D performance management in SME, while dissertation is focused on information basis of SMA techniques particularly BSC. The main objective was divided in the following sub-objectives: identify the key problems of R&D management in the target population of SME in the Czech Republic, identify which SMA techniques are used in R&D performance management setting and compare the results with the findings of Donnelley (2009) in Bremser & Barsky (2004) and finally outline specific R&D metrics in a BSC framework. The research questions were based on the reference framework underlying the research. The two first sub-objectives were solved using data derived from questionnaire responses from the target population of SME in the Czech Republic. The key findings are: the vast majority of examined SME use the same metrics to measure R&D performance as found Donnelly (2000) in Bremser & Barsky (2004) such as number of approved projects ongoing, R&D spending as percentage of sales, current percentage of sales of new products, percentage of budget resources dedicated to R&D. Most of the examined enterprises use budgets and costing. The questionnaires also mapped problematic issues related to R&D performance management, while the results indicated as most problematic the following topics: inadequate organizational structure and insufficient competence settings, poor system of R&D project evaluation that neither contribute to reach the strategic nor financial goals nor to balance the R&D long term and short term objectives. The third sub-objective found support within the investigated firm that upheld the BSC implementation process suggested by Bremser & Barsky (2004). The process was slightly modified. Analysis of existing measures of R&D performance was added. One of the most intriguing findings is the practical implementation of SMA techniques that shall support greater impact of SMA in SME practice.
