Šroubek, Vlastimil ; Červinka, Pavel (advisor) ; Semerád, Miroslav (referee)
Title: Training and performance development of runner for basic and special phase of preparation. Objectives: Analysis of Vlastimil Šroubek's training and developement of his sport performance in basic and specialized phase of preparation will be the main objective of this bachelor thesis. Structure and content of traning process since 2003 till 2010 will be analyzed using the data taken from training's diaries. These data will be analyzed in different qualitative and quantitative parameters by method of content analysis. Results will be worked out into graphs and tables. In conlusion I will try to target my following training program with the aspect of this thesis' results. Methods: The main method used for creation of bachelor's thesis was detailed analysis of my own training diary dated since 2003 to 2010 - focused for general and special training indicators. Results: This thesis confirmed that the optimal increase of volume and intensity of load has lead to improvement of performance. An excessive increase of volume has not have a positive influence on sport performance, because it has lead to health issues. Special pace developement tranings have had the greatest influence on sport performance. Keywords: Runs on the medium und long distance, basic and special phases of sport's training,...
Treatment of acute myocardial infarction in the era of percutaneous coronary intervention
Knot, Jiří ; Widimský, Petr (advisor) ; Adámková, Věra (referee) ; Červinka, Pavel (referee)
Univerzita Karlova v Praze 3. lékařská fakulta Treatment of acute myocardial infarction in the era of percutaneous coronary intervention MUDr. Jiří Knot 2014 When treating patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), a very important prognostic factor is a time from the occurrence of myocardial ischemia until achievement of reperfusion. The shortest delays are being achieved in countries with well-functioning health care network. Another very important factor is the form of used reperfusion therapy. Between individual European countries there is a significant difference in using of reperfusion strategy in the treatment of AMI. In countries where the primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a dominant reperfusion strategy, there is significantly higher total number of reperfused patients with AMI. In addition, a reduction in mortality related with primary PCI is in real practice higher than the randomized clinical trials report. The aim of this work was to map the health care system for patients with AMI in five European countries and work out guidance for optimal cooperation of all segment of the health system that are involved in this care and thereby reduce individual delays. Urgent coronary catheterization or possibly PCI is commonly provided to patients with AMI with ST segments...
Contrast-induced acute kidney injury in high risk patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures
Matějka, Jan ; Vojáček, Jan (advisor) ; Gregor, Pavel (referee) ; Červinka, Pavel (referee)
Contrast-induced acute kidney injury in high risk patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures Introduction: Acute renal function impairment associated with radiologic procedures, known as contrast-induced acute kidney injury (CI-AKI), is strongly associated with a higher rate of morbidity, in-hospital mortality and diminished long-term survival. CI-AKI prevention focuses mainly on adequate periprocedural hydratation and use of a low amount of contrast media. Previous trials concerning use of adenosine antagonist theophylline revealed contradictory results. Goals: Our interventional trial sought to evaluate the effect of theophylline in CI-AKI prevention in well hydrated elderly patients with chronic kidney disease. Our cross-sectional study focused on CI-AKI in patients undergoing primary PCI for ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Methods: Interventional trial: randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was performed. 56 patients with estimated glomerular filtration rate bellow 60 60 ml/min/1.73m2 referred for cardiac coronary angiography and/or angioplasty were enrolled. 31 of them were randomly assigned to 200 mg theophylline IV before procedure, and 25 to placebo. Iso- osmolar contrast Iodixanol was used. Trial protocol included mandatory parenteral hydration. The...
Evaluation of running in floorball category U10
Vítková, Martina ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Červinka, Pavel (referee)
Thema works: Evaluation of running in floorball category U10 Student: Bc. Martina Vítková Supervisor: PhDr. Aleš Kaplan, Ph.D. Aims: Monitoring the running technique of school age children, who plays floorball and improve their technique in a short-time program. Methodology: In this thesis I evaluated the running technique of the selected group of children playing floorball in TJ Tatran Stresovice in order to identify different running techniques. To assist this evaluation I used photographs focussing on certain areas of the body (see Results section). Results: From the front view the feet are most commontly found in the feet out position, with the most common arm movement being across the front of the body. From the side view most commontly seen is arm movement from the shoulder joint, upright posture, running on the toes. The tests showed that the children's running technique is not established as the second test showed different mistakes to those occurring in the first test. Key words: the running technique, physical literacy, floorball and deviation from the running technique.
Pathophysiology and clinical implications of late coronary thrombosis after implantation of drug eluting stents in patients with manifest atherosclerosis
Jakabčin, Jozef ; Červinka, Pavel (advisor) ; Poledne, Rudolf (referee) ; Mates, Martin (referee)
Pathophysiology and clinical implications of late coronary thrombosis after implantation of drug eluting stents in patients with manifest atherosclerosis Abstract Drug-eluting stents (DES) have markedly reduced restenosis rates compared with bare metal stents (BMS) in controlled randomized trials. Concerns have been raised about a possibly increased incidence of stent thrombosis (ST) after discontinuation of dual antiplatelet treatment compared with BMS. While a restenosis is relatively benign process, this serious complication is an issue because mortality of such event is reaching almost 50%. Among well recognized predictors of late stent thrombosis (delayed endothelisation, renal failure, bifurcation lesions, diabetes, premature antiplatelet therapy discontinuation, slow thrombus disappearance), the stent under expansion and stent deployment technique are also considered to be a contributor for development of late stent thrombosis. There was a paucity of data regarding the IVUS guidance during DES implantation. The aim of this study was to assess the role of IVUS guidance during implantation of DES on longterm outcome in patients with high clinical and angiographic risk profile. Methods: Between January 2004 and December 2005, 2110 patients underwent percutaneous coronary intervention, including 276...
The Level of Postural Maturation of Children in Athletic-preparatory Schools
Janečková, Terezie ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Červinka, Pavel (referee)
Title: The Level of Postural Maturation of Children in Athletic-preparatory Schools Author: Terezie Janečková Objective: There are more and more athletic-preparatory schools in athletic units and clubs nowadays. Athletic-preparatory school means a group of five or six-year-old children with one or two training lessons per week. Czech athletic association wants to spread an interest in athletics among parents and their children, to find athletic talents as soon as possible and develop them by this way. The recruitment of children at this age already exists in many sports, but it is new in athletics in the Czech Republic. But that does not go for everyone that this sport training at preschool age is the appropriate and healthy way for a child motor development. I would like to evaluate the influence of athletic-preparatory schools on the child motor development. Due to the fact that there are no tests to apply for this purpose in literaure, we have to compose our own set of tests, which are used in physiotherapy. The theoretic part of the work is a bibliographic search of accessible information about postural maturation and motor development. The experimental part of the work is an evaluation of the level of postural maturation of children in athletic-preparatory schools before their start of regular...
Children's motor skills in track and field (children 6 - 9 year)
Javůrková, Jana ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Červinka, Pavel (referee)
Titule: Children's motor skills in track and field (children 6-9 years) Student: Jana Javůrková Supervisor: PhDr. Aleš Kaplan, Ph.D. Aims: One of the objectives of this work was the determination of the physical readiness and motion level of primary school children with the aid of five purposely selected motor tests. The research was conducted among the group of children of athletic prep. The results were compared with tabulated values in literature. Simultaneously was monitored the relationship between performances and measured body weight and hight of monitored children. Using the questionnaire were recorded the attitudes of children to sport, to other physical activities and last but not least, athletic disciplines from the point of view of popularity. Methodology: For the purpose of this thesis was evaluated a total of n = 28 children of primary school age, which were divided into two groups according to age, 6-7 years old (year of birth 2006-2005) and 8-9 years (year of birth 2004-2003). Comparison method was used in five motor tests (jump from the place, throwing the medicine ball over the head, shuttle run the 4 × 10 m, throwing a tennis ball and the depth of standing forward bend) with tabular values in the literature. There was also measured body weight and height and compared with...
