Czech literature from a gender perspective: Fourth Congress of World Czech Literary Studies: Other Czech Literature (?)

Arranged every 5 years at the initiative of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic Institute of Czech Literature, the congress brought together some 150 researchers this year. The presented set of studies primarily attempts not merely to repeat other discussions on the subject of women (or men) in literature, but with the aid of gender analysis and critical interpretation to more systematically consider the literary text as a space for subject self‑comprehension and the formation of gender(ed) identities, as well as to comment on the opportunities, dilemmas and debts of Czech literary research in the context of gender thought. This collection thus offers a broad range of theoretical and thematic approaches, from a critical reading of the canon, gynocriticism and the archeology of women’s literary tradition through cross‑dressing in National Revival drama, queer reading of the socialist realist novel, the gender evaluation of contemporary Czech literature and many other topics.

Aerosol Particles in the Indoor Environment of the National Library in Prague

Particulate matter in the indoor air in exhibition rooms is a serious risk to works of art stored there. In the Baroque Library Hall of the National Library we examined concentrations and compositions of aerosol particles during 4 intensive campaigns in different seasons of year. Time variation of fine particles concentration indicated outdoor origin with traffic as the most probable source. The concentration of coarse particles revealed periodic increase and decrease, corresponding to beginning and end of visiting hours, indicating visitors as a source of these particles. The major water-soluble inorganic components of the fine particle mode were ammonium sulphate and nitrate, with indoor nitrate concentrations decreasing to zero. It was apparently caused by evaporation of ammonium nitrate after penetration indoors. Crustal elements in both indoor and outdoor samples were predominantly associated with coarse particles.

Vliv rekombinantní bakterie Lactobacillus plantarum na vývoj pylové alergieL

Germfree mice were monocolonized with recombinant Lactobacillus plantarum producing Bet v 1. Subsequently mice were sensitized by intraperitoneal injections to Bet v 1. We found out that monocolonization with recombinant L. plantarum reduced the level of specific Bet v 1 specific IgE antibody and stimulated production of INF-gamma in spleen cells supernatants. We conclude that monocolonization by recombinant L. plantarum shifts the immune response towards Th-1 direction and that it is a promising vaccine candidate against type I allergy

Thermophysical properties of ionic liquids and binary mixtures containing them – An overview

The report provides a comprehensive review of literature sources of experimental data on the thermophysical properties of ionic liquids, a novel class of materials with a wide range of applications. The literature search was focused on pure ionic liquids as well as on the binary mixtures containing them. The following thermophysical properties have been included into the study: density, isobaric heat capacity, speed of sound, surface tension, vapor-liquid equilibrium pressures, solid-liquid phase transition temperatures, viscosity, electrical conductivity, refractive index, activity coefficients, and decomposition temperatures. The results of the search are presented in the form of synoptic tables. The reference list of bibliography contains 97 items.

Customer`s Segmentation within the Marketing Strategy in Company

Práce je zaměřená na segmentaci zákazníků v podniku. V teoretické části vymezuje postavení segmentace v marketingové strategii, zabývá se výhodami, nevýhodami, předpoklady, kritérii a postupem při segmentaci. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována postojům, jakožto jednomu z důležitých a často uplatňovaných kritérií segmentace. Praktická část práce analyzuje trh vymezený pro produkt a na základě analýz stanovuje cílové segmenty zákazníků, jejich potenciál a základní charakteristiky.

Rozvojové cíle tisíciletí a jejich plnění na příkladu Ázerbájdžánu

Diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí. První část s názvem Rozvojové cíle tisíciletí se zabývá vznikem a formulací MDGs, nastiňuje výchozí situaci jednotlivých rozvojových regionů (včetně Kavkazu) na počátku 90. let a změnu, kterou od té doby do současnosti prošly. První část je rozdělena do kapitol dle jednotlivých MDGs, které sledují nejen plnění jednolitých cílů v daných regionech, ale také hlavní aspekty a problémy, které jejich úspěšnému plnění brání. Celkový záměr této části spočívá v charakteristice situace, ve které se jednotlivé regiony světa po 15 letech implementace MDGs nachází. Jejím cílem je tak nejen podat informaci o MDGs a jejich plnění ve světě, ale také ukázat, jak si v porovnání s ostatními regiony světa vede právě oblast Kavkazu. Druhá část práce s názvem Plnění Rozvojových cílů tisíciletí na příkladu Ázerbájdžánu se pak zabývá konkrétním příkladem plnění těchto cílů v podmínkách země z bývalého SSSR. Již bylo uvedeno, že země SNS se vyznačují odlišnými charakteristikami od RZ, je proto první kapitola druhé části věnována základní, zejména ekonomické, charakteristice Ázerbájdžánu. V druhé kapitole je pak zkoumáno plnění MDGs v této zemi, resp. jejich reformulace dle potřeb Ázerbájdžánu. Cílem druhé části práce je zhodnotit nejen vývoj ekonomické situace země a způsob, jakým naložila se svojí nespornou komparativní výhodou, ale také detailněji posoudit stávající situaci při plnění MDGs a případné nedostatky, které byly při formulaci a vlastním plněním cílů zaznamenány.
