Šindlář, Ondřej ; Nespěšná Hamsíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Ottová, Michaela (referee)
My bachelor thesis will be devoted to formativ of space and landscape in the paintings of the Master of the Litoměřice Altar, an important landmark in the history of Czech painting. This is very clear not just in the figural komponent but also in his approach to space and landscape formation. All existing researchers have pointed it out. The landscape component of the image is closely related to its space construction, for this reason I will discuss this matter in the Master of the Litoměřice Altarpiece more complexly. The prerequisite is the study of the Master's available paintings, art-historical literature, and a summary of previous research in the first part. To put it in the context of the period, a brief excursion into landscape component in the Czech painting preceding the Master of the Litoměřice Altar will follow. The main content of my work will be an analysis of landscape and space in the variol works of the Master of the Litoměřice Altar from the point of view of his possible origins as well as his ways and means of space construction. As the thesis will deal with aspects primarily related to the formal side of the work, mainly formal and comparative approaches will be applied. Also the technical and technological aspects will be taken into account.

Fleková, Kateřina ; Nespěšná Hamsíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Schöttner, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with Renaissance tile stoves in the Czech lands, focusing on the important examples from the period of 16th and 17th century. Starting with an overview of the pertinent literature in the Czech and Central European context, the thesis proceeds to outline the historical development of stove building and tile manufacturing. The main part then deals with several key examples of the extant Bohemian tile stoves. I have attempted to arrange them in the chronological order, based on the evidence of their construction, reconstruction, transfers and restoration. In some cases it was possible to trace the origin of the tiles in the specific local workshops. In some cases a comparison with analogical stoves or tiles is given, both in the Czech lands and in Europe. The thesis also includes an analysis of the temporal iconographic motives which can contribute to a more precise dating of tile stoves.

Bakešová, Lucie ; Nespěšná Hamsíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Jarošová, Markéta (referee)
In the Bachelor's thesis, I deal with the significance of the hare's theme in the compositions of the so-called reversed world. The focal point of this thesis is the decoration of Hare chamber at Bučovice Castle, which will be set in a wider cultural context. The thesis focuses on the iconography of the hare theme in general, as well as on the occurrence and significance of the hare's depiction in the European environment. General parts of the thesis lay the basis for a deeper interpretation of the theme of the reversed world in Hare chamber in Bučovice. The themes of the reversed world, of various animal species in human roles, have a rich tradition, they appear in the edges of medieval illuminated manuscripts, in the late Renaissance graphic arts, and this tradition continues without interruption to the present day. This type of depiction could have satirical or moral significance, but its function could be just to entertain spectators. The Hare chamber is one of the five representative rooms of Bučovice Castle with a rich plastic decoration in good condition and paintings from the third quarter of the 16th century, showing the hare in human roles. These are themes that create a closed cycle of "hunted hunts the hunters" tableaus. Why this theme was the subject of Hare chamber, I will try to answer by a...

Černovská, Jana ; Nespěšná Hamsíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Schöttner, Jan (referee)
Motifs on Bohemian and Central European enameled glass. From the second half of the 16th century until the the beginning of 18th century. This Bachelor's thesis attempts to map out a broad range of motifs painted on glass using enamel within the Bohemian and Central European milieu in the period from the mid 16th until the early 18th century. Specific attention is paid to large cylindrical goblets, the so-called Humpens. By means of concrete examples from significant Czech and foreign collections - including items intended for representative purposes as well as objects commonly used by the middle class - individual motifs or groups of motifs are identified. The thesis aims to define the function assigned to these vessels depending on the decorative theme used. The author also focuses on ornamental motifs featured on painted glass that were frequently engraved using a diamond point. To make them, painters and engravers drew their inspiration from period prints and prints from the preceding era. For this reason, these original prints are studied as well, and subsequently compared to the specific motifs used on the glass.
