Fatigue strength of welded joints
Čermáková, Markéta ; Dubnický, Lukáš (referee) ; Sladký, Martin (advisor)
The assessment of the fatigue life of welded joints is a very complex discipline requiring careful analysis. In practice, expensive testing of large numbers of samples is often required to assess it. Although some recent advances have been made in analytical prediction, the results are still not satisfactory. This bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of fatigue life of welded joints using the finite element method (FEM). The first part of the thesis is devoted to a literature search, the introductory part of which gives a brief overview on the topics of welding and fatigue. Then, the paper describes in detail the different procedures to assess the fatigue life of welded joints. The second part is devoted to the development of a simple FEM model of the welded joint. The model is then used to estimate the fatigue life using the MSC Patran/Nastran program. Three approaches are tested, namely nominal, hotspot and notch stress. The final section compares the different approaches and a comparison between theoretical and experimentally observed data is also made.
Low-rise apartments in Řečkovice
Čermáková, Markéta ; Šubrt, Jan (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor thesis was the preparation of the design and the following preparation of the project documentation consisting of documentation for the building permit, documentation for the implementation of the construction and the design of the architectural detail on the topic: low-rise apartment buildings in the city of Brno in Řečkovice. The work is based on the result of the subject Ag032 Residential Buildings from the second year. The aim in working on the theme of the apartment building was to respect all the required regulations and standards, but also to create a comfortable living space that offers an open living area, with as much sunlight as possible and does not overlook secondary spaces such as corridors or stair areas. The proposed building is located in the higher part of the site near Družstevní Street and close to the kindergarten. The nearby area has a residential character consisting of four-storey apartment buildings, among which there are buildings of a smaller height with public service functions. The proposed construction of the apartment building is related in height to the surrounding buildings. It is designed as a detached four-storey dwelling house with a connection on the south side to a semi-private park (the main use serving the occupants of the proposed dwelling house), created by the 'L' shaped plan. Due to the sloping terrain, all entrances are located on the underground floor, to the parts above the terrain. On the southeast side is located the entrance to the garage, which is lighted by daylight, and on the northeast side is located the main entrance to the building. Due to the slope of the terrain, the first floor with living rooms uses the vegetated area in the direction of the courtyard, which is laid over the garages and forms a place for front gardens. Currently, there is a large amount of greenery on the site and the residents of the area wish to preserve the greenery, so my design is mainly concerned with working with the greenery and elevating it to another level, all in combination with the housing.
Digestive proteases of termites
Čermáková, Markéta ; Konvalinka, Jan (advisor) ; Ryšlavá, Helena (referee)
Digestive proteolysis in termites has not been studied yet. In this diploma thesis, proteolytic enzymes of the digestive tract of two significant pest species Reticulitermes santonensis and Coptotermes formosanus (Rhinotermitidae) were analyzed. Proteases were identified and quantified in gut compartments using a panel of specific substrates and inhibitors. Major proteases were localized in the midgut and were classified as endogenous serine proteases of trypsin type. Minor cysteine proteases were detected in the paunch and were most likely produced by symbionts. The trypsin protease from R. santonensis was chromatographically isolated and its N-terminal sequence was identified. The physiological importance of the digestive trypsin proteases was demonstrated using selective inhibitors tested in vivo with C. formosanus. Based on the analysis of proteases from additional 12 termite species, a general scheme of digestive proteolysis in the order Isoptera was proposed. (In Czech)
Analysis of the Usual Price of Flats in Chrudim Based on the Location
Čermáková, Markéta ; Gardášová, Alena (referee) ; Hlavinková, Vítězslava (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the state of the real estate market with the residential units in new buildings of the apartment buildings in Chrudim. The target of the thesis is to determine the influence on the price of residential units of the given locality and how the influence of prices on the other factors and to evaluate the influence of the location on a larger scale, by comparing the prices of residential units in new buildings in different cities. Evaluation of primary prevention program Boys and Girls Plus
Frombergerová, Anna ; Pavlas Martanová, Veronika (advisor) ; Čermáková, Markéta (referee)
Title: The evaluation of primary prevention program Boys and Girls Plus Author: Bc. Anna Frombergerová Department: Psychology Supervisor: PhDr. Veronika Pavlas Martanová, Ph.D. Abstract: The thesis evaluates the Boys and Girls Plus primary drug prevention programme that was carried out at elementary and secondary schools throughout the Czech Republic. The programme ran concurrently in eight European countries. The thesis processes, evaluates, and interprets the data collected by the project organizers for the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the Boys and Girls Plus project, its progress, and implementation. It also addresses the various approaches to the evaluation of primary prevention programmes and examines their effectiveness in practice. The empirical part of the thesis evaluates the data collected from the project participants (over 600 pupils/students and 27 teachers). Students filled in attitude questionnaires both before and after the intervention and they also commented directly on the Boys and Girls Plus programme itself. Their answers were subject to quantitative processing. Teachers provided their feedback after the programme implementation; their responses were processed using a combination of qualitative and qualitative methods. The evaluation focuses in particular...
Evaluation of school-based prevention programme "Típni to I"
Vanek, Marián ; Pavlas Martanová, Veronika (advisor) ; Čermáková, Markéta (referee)
TITLE: Evaluation of school-based prevention programme "Típni to I" AUTHOR: Marián Vanek DEPARTMENT: Department of Psychology SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Veronika Pavlas Martanová, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This thesis deals with need assessment and formative outcome evaluation of school-based smoking prevention programme "Típni to I" which is designed for the pupils of 7th grade of elementary school. The main focus of evaluation was to obtain evidence of functional and nonfunctional parts of the programme with regards to needs of the target population and the KAB model. Combined qualitative-quantitative research design with participatory research paradigm was used. It is important to note that the author of the evaluation is at the same time member of the organization Česká koalice proti tabáku (ČKPT) which produces the evaluated programme. Self-made questionnaire, interviews with ČKPT lecturers and written products of the programme "Típni to I" were used to obtain empirical data. Questionnaire was assigned twice in experimental group (12 classes, 202 pupils), firstly before the programme implementation and then 2-3 weeks after realization of the prevention (pre-post design), no control group was used. Prevention programme proved to be effective in improving tobacco risks knowledge, communication skill to refuse cigarettes,...
