Evacuation Precautions Focused on the Possibilities of Climbing Technique Use
JEŽEK, Jan
This thesis deals with the methods and procedures of evacuation using climbing technique in Fire Rescue Service of South Bohemian Region. In the present condition there are named and compared particular types of evacuations encountered by the fire fighters. Further, there are named and described the most significant factors and risks influencing evacuation, the composition and equipment of teams and groups and their cooperation with integrated rescue system. The next part of the thesis contains questionnaire investigation which serves as a source of the evacuation and climbing technique knowledge and also three simulated actions in height and over the free depth out of which a methodology sheet concerning the problems of evacuation with the possibility of climbing technique use is created.
Advantages and disadvantages of therapy means by protons and carbon ions
JEŽEK, Jan
This bachelor thesis deals with modern radiotherapy method, the so-called hadron therapy. The paper describes its principal characteristics, evaluates its advantages and disadvantages and gives reasons for its application in treating oncological diseases. At the same time this method is compared with the most frequently used treatment processes (megavoltage radiotherapy). The paper gives an overview of the most important hadron centers in the whole world, gives information on their activities and speculates about possibilities of building a similar center in the Czech Republic. The research based on specialized literature is completed by a questionnaire survey that polls the level of awareness in the professional public on the issue dealt with in this paper.
Optical tweezers and applications
Šerý, Mojmír ; Ježek, Jan ; Jákl, Petr ; Jonáš, Alexandr ; Zemánek, Pavel
Optical tweezers is very popular tool in many areas of science, namely in medicine, biology and physics. This micromanipulation tool is contactless, sterille and could be used as very sensitive force sensor.
Laser photopolymerization of microstructures
Ježek, Jan ; Zemánek, Pavel
Laser photopolymerization is a method for creating complex three-dimensional objects with submicron details. A few millimeters long optical fiber with a diameter of about 2 .mu.m can by created by non-diffraction bessel beam.
Melectin analogues: The influence of dendrimerization on antimicrobial and hemolytic activity
Niederhafner, Petr ; Šafařík, Martin ; Ježek, Jan ; Borovičková, Lenka ; Bednárová, Lucie ; Fučík, Vladimír ; Čeřovský, Václav ; Slaninová, Jiřina
Dimers and tetramers of MEP and MEP derivatives were synthesized on Fmoc-Lys(Fmoc)-Rink amide resin, the tetramer was obtained from the dimer C-terminally extended via Cys-Cys linkage. In general, the dendrimerization of MEP led to an increase of haemolytic activity but did not improve substantially its antimicrobial properties.
Polynomial Toolbox
Hromčík, M. ; Šebek, M. ; Ježek, Jan
Quite recently the polynomial design methods found a new great field of application outside the control area: the algebraic approach have been used successfully in signal processing and mobile communications. In contrast to the control systems synthesis, polynomials and polynomial matrices with complex coefficients are often required when designing filters, equalizers, decouplers and other components of mobile phones for instance.
New algorithm for spectral factorization and its application in signal processing
Ježek, Jan ; Hromčík, Martin ; Šebek, Michael
In this report a new algorithm is presented for the spectral factorization of a two-sided symmetric polynomial. The method is based on the discrete Fourier transform theory (DFT) and its relationship to the Z-transform. Involving DFT computational techniques, namely the famous fast Fourier transform routine (FFT), brings high computational efficiency and reliability. The power of the proposed procedure is employed in a particular practical signal processing application.
Polynomial toolbox 2.5 and systems with parametric uncertainties
Šebek, Michael ; Hromčík, Martin ; Ježek, Jan
Polynomial Toolbox is a new MATLAB toolbox for systems, signals and control analysis and design using polynomial methods. See www.polyx.cz for more details. This paper demonstrates on several examples how the Polynomial Toolbox solves various robust control problems for plants with parametric uncertainties. Both classical problems such as one-parameter, interval or polytopic uncertainty are discussed as well as cases with complicated uncertainty structure.
