Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá moderní radioterapeutickou metodou, tzv. hadronovou terapií, popisuje její základní charakteristiky, hodnotí její výhody a nevýhody a uvádí důvody jejího využití pro léčbu onkologických onemocnění. Zároveň tuto metodu komparuje s nejčastěji využívanými současnými léčebnými postupy (megavoltážní radioterapie). Práce uvádí přehled nejvýznamnějších hadronových center z celého světa, poskytuje informaci o jejich činnosti a zamýšlí se nad možnostmi potenciálního vybudování obdobného centra v České republice. Literární rešerše je doplněna o dotazníkové šetření, které zjišťuje úroveň informovanosti odborné veřejnosti o řešené problematice. This bachelor thesis deals with modern radiotherapy method, the so-called hadron therapy. The paper describes its principal characteristics, evaluates its advantages and disadvantages and gives reasons for its application in treating oncological diseases. At the same time this method is compared with the most frequently used treatment processes (megavoltage radiotherapy). The paper gives an overview of the most important hadron centers in the whole world, gives information on their activities and speculates about possibilities of building a similar center in the Czech Republic. The research based on specialized literature is completed by a questionnaire survey that polls the level of awareness in the professional public on the issue dealt with in this paper.
