Secondary metabolites of plant tissue culture of Trifolium pratense L.
Novotná, Hana ; Kašparová, Marie (advisor) ; Siatka, Tomáš (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacognosy Candidate: Hana Novotná Supervisor: PharmDr. Marie Kašparová, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Secondary metabolites of plant tissue culture of Trifolium pratense L. Explant cultures are perspective sources of secondary metabolites. Nevertheless production of flavonoids and isoflavonoids by the suspension culture of Trifolium pratense L. is not high. Elicitation is one of the methods used to enhance the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. Elicitation induces physiological changes, stimulates defensive or stress-induced reactions in plants and subsequently triggers the synthesis of secondary metabolites. The objective of this study was to observe the influence of two elicitors - abscisic acid and ascorbic acid - on the production of flavonoids and isoflavonoids by the Trifolium pratense L. suspension culture (Sprint variety). The culture was cultivated in Gamborg medium to which 2 mg.l-1 of 2,4- dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and 2 mg.l-1 of 6-benzylaminopurine were added, at the temperature of 25 řC and 16 hours light / 8 hours dark period. The best elicitation effect of abscisic acid on the production of flavonoids and isoflavonoids was observed after a 6-hour application of the highest 500 µmol.l-1...

Structure and Properties of Sintered Tungsten Carbides
Novotná, Hana ; Klakurková, Lenka (referee) ; Čelko, Ladislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the structure and properties of sintered tungsten carbides. The literature review section concerns the development of sintered carbides, their composi-tion and structure, different types of carbides, the steps of the production of sintered car-bides, sintering technology and alternative materials for cutting tools. The experimental section deals with composition of WC-Co and is ascertained by the dependency coercivity on WC grain size and also on cobalt content. This work describes the measurement of WC grain size and measurement of the coercivity, one of the fundamental properties of sintered carbides.
Contemporary social theory and its reflection of religion. Concepts of pluralisation and privatization.
Novotná, Hana ; Balon, Jan (advisor) ; Hlaváček, Karel (referee)
This thesis deals with the transformation of secularization paradigm in the sociology of religion. According to classical social theory religion will lose it's influence within the modernization processes of society. However, in the modern social theory we find different views on the position of religion in the society. This thesis deals with the status of religion on the background of pluralization of the society and individualization of human life. I especially focus on the concepts of pluralization and privatization of religion. In this context I present the ideas of P. L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann. Then I present the concept of the status of religion which appeared in the 80's of 20th century and contains the return of religion into public debates, the deprivatization of religion. This concept is illustrated by the thoughts of José Casanova. I use the thoughts of these authors to illustrate the transformation of reflection of religion between classical and modern sociology.

Novotná, Hana ; Soukupová, Tereza (advisor) ; Goldmann, Petr (referee)
This thesis deals with a possibility of measuring levels of social skills using the Social Orientation Scale (SOS) in stories made up with the Thematic Apperception Test. In the theoretical part we introduce the Thematic Apperception Test, the scoring systems used to interpret it and the Social Orientation Scale of Goldmann and Soukupová. This part also introduces the concept of social competence, describe the characteristics of an adolescence development stage and specifics of youth detention centers, their clients and a problematic behavior observed at most of them. In the empirical part we compare two groups of adolescents, each consisting of 30 probands. The first group was made up by girls and boys currently undergoing a diagnostic stay in youth detention centers, while the second group consisted of their same-age peers from an ordinary population. To obtain the basic characteristics of the subjects under test, we employ semi-structured anamnestic interview. Furthermore, the Thematic Apperception Test is evaluated using the Social Orientation Scale and the results thereof are statistically analysed. Our research focuses mainly on figuring out the differences in the competence levels reached at the particular tables and as a whole. Besides that, the stories are analyzed content-wise, focusing...
