Speech therapy prevention in kindergartens in the Klatovy region

The subject of this bachelor's thesis, which deals with one of the sub-fields of special pedagogy - speech therapy - is the provision of speech therapy prevention in kindergartens in the district of Klatovy. The aim of the work is to examine the provision of this prevention in the Klatovy region. The paper is divided into three chapters, while the first two define the theoretical basis of the thesis. With the help of professional literature, the topics of communication, speech therapy intervention with an emphasis on speech therapy prevention, speech development, preschool age or the most frequent types of impaired communication skills occurring in preschool age are defined. The empirical part analyses the data of a qualitative research survey conducted in the form of interviews with teachers in kindergartens. The work explores the course of speech therapy prevention, the cooperation of kindergartens with professional external institutions regarding speech therapy prevention, the tools used as well as the pitfalls in providing prevention. Phonological abilities of children with dyslalia in preschool age

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of phonological abilities of children with dyslalia in preschool age. The main goal of the thesis lies therefore in the analysis of the phonological abilities of the stated target group. Based on the main goal, partial objectives and research questions were defined. A method of qualitative research strategy - a case study was used to fulfil the objectives of the thesis. To gather the data, test methods and analysis of the available documents were used. To create a comprehensive picture of the monitored children, the methods mentioned above were supplemented with an interview with a clinical speech therapist. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical part and the empirical part. The theoretical part consists of three chapters. The first chapter deals with the definition of key terms such as communication, communication skills, as well as the development of speech, language and communication. In this chapter, attention is paid also to a preschool child. The second chapter describes the issue of phonological abilities, which are presented in the context of the phonetic- phonological language level. The last chapter looks into the issue of dyslalia. Development of communication of skills of children with autism spectrum disorder

The bachelors thesis is of a special pedagogical character focusing on speech therapy. It deals with the development of communication skills in children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The thesis goal is to introduce ASD issue; communication in general and with regard to people with ASD and with augmentative and alternative communication. The theoretical part is divided into three parts. The first part defines autism spectrum disorders, deals briefly with the causes, division and diagnosis. The second part describes communication as such, speech development and impaired communication skills. The third part deals with communication of people with autism spectrum disorders, speech development and these people communication specifics. It also mentions the possibilities offered by augmentative and alternative communications. The role of parents during the development of communication skills of preschool children

The diploma thesis is of a special pedagogy type and focuses on speech therapy. The thesis deals with the role of parents during the development of communication skills of preschool children in particular. The thesis is divided into the theoretical part and the practical part. The introductory chapter of the theoretical part characterizes a child of preschool age with regard to the development of motor skills, cognitive processes and social skills. The second chapter discusses the issue of communication skills of preschool children in more detail. It includes risk factors for speech development, the most common impairments of communication skills of preschool children and the possibilities of speech therapy intervention. The third chapter is devoted to the family environment in connection with its influence on the development of a child's communication skills. This chapter describes the parental styles, risk factors of the family environment and support options related to the child's speech development. Language development of children in multilingual environment

This diploma thesis have special pedagogical character and it focuses on language development of children from multilingual environment. The reason for this focus is their increasing number. However, there are still relatively few publications on this topic in the Czech Republic because more emphasis is placed on bilingualism. In the theoretical part, is trying to cover the complexity of language development and then deal with the concepts of multilingualism and bilingualism. In the practical part there is a qualitative research investigation based on three case studies of children from multilingual environment. The individual studies describe in detail their language development, including the possible mixing of language codes, and possible communication disabilities. Also, there is trying to find which of the language becomes relaxed for the children. Interviews with parents and class teacher mainly used to obtain data.
