Motivational climate and achievement motivation in athletes

Title: Motivational climate and achievement motivation in athletes Objectives: The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to determine the motivational climate and performance motivation of selected athletes using the questionnaire method and to analyze the extent to which they interact. Examine their internal and external motivation, environment and climate in which they are located, and thus identify the main influencing factors of sports performance. Methods: The research was carried out using a quantitative method based on a questionnaire, which was composed of four parts. The first part measured the athlete's interest in sports using the "Athlete Engagement Questionnaire". The second part measured the motivational climate created by the coach using the "Empowering and Disempowering Motivational Climate Questionnaire-Coach". The third part measured the target orientation through the "Perception of Success Questionnaire". The fourth part measured internal and external motivation based on the theory of self- determination for which the questionnaire "Sport motivation scale-6" was used. Title: Cognitive functions and performance in MMA Objectives: The goal of the work was to figure out the effect of cognitive functions to performance in MMA. Methods: Vienna test system, determination test Results: Research compares sample reactions to acoustic and visual impulses among three groups - professional MMA fighters, amateur MMA fighters and intact population. The results of the research show that MMA individuals, regardless of the category (professional and amateur MMA fighters), have better results than recreational athletes from the intact population. Motivation and Aggression in Sports

Title: Problematics of motivation and aggressivity in sports Objectives: Main target of my diploma thesis is to test selfdetermination of individuals participating in sports, their motivations and motivation factors which are connected to aggressivity, by using the questionnaire method. Methods: Datas for research were collected from quantitativ questionaire, which was a compilation of three standard questinnaires, their Czech version used in psychology. A questionnaire called Sport motivation scale - 6 was used to measure selfdetermination, a questionnaire called Percetion of Success Questionaire was used to measure the motivational orientation and a questionnaire called The Buss - Perry Aggression Questionaire was used to measure different dimensions of aggressivity. Results: Results of selfdetermination measured on sportsmen of UK FTVS prove the general hypothesis of high contribution of intrinsic motivation and very low participation of amotivation for any individuals participating in sports. Higherst values measured we got for integrated regulation, which is the most intrinsic form of external motivation. Meanings of art creation in artists' lives

This thesis is questioning the meanings of artistic creation. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. The first part introduces the topic through seven fundamental psychological approaches. The second part tracks the question of the meanings of artistic creation using qualitative half-structured interviews with three painters. During the interview analysis and interpretation, additional text and image documents are included as supplementary sources. Subjectively important topics that are linked to individual's artistic creation formed their so-called internal story of creation as the first output of analysis and data interpretation. Moreover, all three stories are compared with psychological approaches within the model of De Botton and Armstrong (2014), extended by a mutual comparison among artists and unification of various psychological approaches. Experiences of gym members with Performance Enhancing Drugs

Title: Experiences of gym members with Performance Enhancing Drugs. Objectives: The aim of the diploma work is to explore the prevalence of doping in two particular fitness centres, to specify the most used doping substances, frequency and form of using, way of acquiring and to define reasons leading gym members to using these substances. No less important goal of the work is to find out the most reported benefits resulting from using doping as well as the most reported negative side effects. Methods: The main method used in the research is a questionnaire survey that is divided into three sections. The goal of the survey is to assess aspects of using performance enhancement drugs amongst gym members. Results: We found that 8% of the respondents reported positive experience with anabolic steroids as well as 5,3% of the respondents with diuretics and 3,7% of the respondents reported that they have used growth hormones. The most common substances are nandrolone and stanozolole (53,3%) followed by oxandrolone and testosterone (46,7%). Except these doping substances respondents mentioned methandienone, trenbolone, oxymetholone, clenbuterol, dianabol and boldenone. Novice and expert teacher's perspective on classroom teaching and management

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the differences between the novice and expert teacher's perspective on classroom teaching and management, such as lesson planning, students' motivation, dealing with indiscipline or teaching methods. Furthermore, the thesis analyses the way of how the novice teachers perceive their career starts and professional development in comparison to expert teachers. The theoretical part elaborates on various concepts and theories which are concerned with the definition of novice and expert teachers, as well as with the teachers' advancement. The theoretical part also captures contrasts in the various aspects of class work between the two mentioned groups. The empirical part is focused on the investigation of novice and expert teachers' way of perspective of classroom teaching and management, career starts and professional development. The results of the research are connected and compared with the knowledge as stated on the theoretical part of this thesis.
Physical self-concept of floorball players

Title: Physical self-concept of floorball players Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to gain theoretical knowledge about body image and based on the information gained in the Physical Self-Perception Profile (PSPP) questionnaire evaluate if there is any difference between body image in floorball players at different performance levels. Methods: Quantitative data that was collected by a written questionnaire were chosen as the primary data source. The basic file is floorball player competing under Czech floorbal union. The selection sample consists of 71 floorball players, 35 playing 3 highest leagues, 36 playing other leagues. Title: Socio-economic aspects of physical activities for seniors in Prague Objectives: The aim of study was to find out what are the socioeconomic aspects of walking and other physical activities Prague's population of seniors. Specifically find answers to questions, whether regular walk in this population affect the quality of life in old age, if those people bring motion standard from earlier stages of life, what are their motives for periodic walking, if they operate other physical activities than walking and whether is there a coherent categories of pedestrians. Methods: In this thesis were used quantitative and qualitative research methods. The source of quantitative analysis was the questionnaire WHOQOL OLD with a complementary inquiry on walking. The sample consisted of 156 respondents and was divided equally between pedestrians and non-pedestrians. There were used methods of descriptive statistics and statistical hypothesis testing. For qualitative analysis was with a part-respondents (pedestrians) made an interview, investigating their socioeconomic status, the motives for carrying out walking and other activities, and also was made their segmentation. Expert teachers perspective on bullying and disturbed relationships in the classroom

This thesis focuses on the view of experienced teachers on bullying and disturbed relationships in the classroom. The theoretical part describes the characteristics of bullying and its typical characters. It defines the main protagonists of bullying. It also describes the procedures for dealing with bullying, investigation, intervention and prevention. The theoretical part also describes the role of the teacher, the definition of his profession and experiences. The empirical part presents a subjective view of experienced teachers on bullying and disturbed relationships in the classroom. It focuses on their personal experience with the phenomenon. It maps the tools and strategies that experienced teachers use to dealing with bullying and its prevention.
