PPP Projects in the Transport Policy in the EU

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of PPP (Public-Private-Partnerships), which is a partnership of public and private sector, and its potentional use in the transport policy in the European Union. The aim of this study is to determine whether this type of partnership is supported by the Union and what the advantages of using partnership in transportation are. First of all, the thesis focuses on the main interpretation of the PPP. Several important terms and characteristics are mentioned in this part. The main principles and objectives are characterised in the second part. At the end of this study, there are 5 projects implemented through PPP which are analysed and there is also their appraisal (specially the London Congestion Charge, part of the motorway E01 in Ireland, Vasco da Gama Bridge, Öresund Bridge and the motorway A1 in Poland). Some of these projects and their implementation may be inspirational for similiar projects.
Common Agricultural Policy

The bachelor thesis deals with the impact of the eastern enlargement of the EU on the single system of subsidies. The aim of the thesis is to answer the question whether the single rules for distribution of the subsidies among the farmers have been broken after the eastern enlargement. The thesis is divided into the three chapters. The first of them outlines the historical scheme of the CAP and principles, that CAP is based on. The second chapter takes a reader through the reformatory development of the CAP. The last chapter of the thesis deals with funding of the CAP and with the problems, that have arisen in connection with the eastern enlargement.
The Stability and Growth Pact EU

The thesis describes Stability and Growth Pact and his development in time. At the beginning is followed development of Economy and Monetary Union, to clarify the historical background of the gradual process accessing Stability and Grow Pact. Development is described from Article 104c of the Treaty establishing the European Community over the German's proposal for the Stability Pact to a final agreement on Stability and Growth Pact, which was a compromise between the German's and French's proposal. The emphasis is placed on noncompliance with the rules of the Pact of Stability and Growth by Germany and France that led to its reform.

In addition to general characteristics and the history of the common EU budget, there occur perspectives of new millennium , on which is thesis primarily focused, specifically it is about financial framework 2000-2006, 2007-2013 and also outlines the possible form of next seven-year financial framework 2014-2020, including scheduled revision.
The 2008 United States financial crisis - causes, progress and effects

Thesis deals with the 2008 United States financial crisis, its causes, progress and effects. The first chapter concentrates on the progress of financial crisis with emphasis on its originator -- subprime mortgage crisis. The next chapter deals with the analysis of the causes of financial crisis and its comparison with the causes of the Great Depression. The third chapter assesses the effects of the financial crisis on two industries (car and construction) and on the real growth of the economy.
European Territorial Cooperation with an example of the selected project

This bachelor thesis deals with the Regional and Structural Policy of the European Union and focuses on its third objective "European Territorial Cooperation" that is often left out due to the lowest financial allocation. My thesis analyses single operational programs within European Territorial Cooperation, their succession of previous programs, financial allocation and priority axes. Large attention is payed to Cross-border Cooperation concerning the Czech Republic, esp. to Cross-border Cooperation between Austria and the Czech Republic. Finally, I introduce the concrete project within OP CR-Austria and describe a procedure of projectś implementation in detail. Activities that are performed within European Territorial Cooperation do not have to be very costly to bring results.
European dependence on oil and its consequences

Energy plays a fundamental role in economic activities. It influences our everyday life and concerns everyone of us. Exactly due to these reasons it is necessary to be concerned with the energetic situation of our region and with the state of dependency related to using oil as an energetic source in Europe. This is the crucial topic and major objective of the research of this work. At the same time the attention is paid to outlining possible recommendations for the European countries considering territorial diversification and reserching the spectrum of potential alternatives to oil.
Energy Dialogue between the Russian Federation and the European Union

This Bachelor's Thesis consists of introduction, five chapters, conclusion and bibliography. It describes in a short historic sequence operating electric power industry as a main strategic interest for the subjects of the dialogue in terms of their self-sufficiency and independence, with emphasis on their energy policy until year 2030. It analyzes the same and also different approaches of energy policies of the Parties in the use of fuel-energy complex, qualitatively new level of mutual cooperation, emphasizes the role of nuclear energy in perspective of optimal use of energy sources and power industry efficiency. It outlines the perspective of establishment of a common energy market and its liberalization.
Relations between the Czech Republic and Vietnam in trade and development cooperation

The subject of the thesis is the development of the bilateral relations between the Czech Republic and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in terms of trade and international development cooperation. Historical context, contractual base and diplomatic relations with top government officials are taking into account first. The main part of the thesis is the analysis of trade exchange and development support provided by the Czech Republic to Vietnam. The last chapter, dealing with the arrival of Vietnamese to the Czech Republic, completes the conception of the Czech-Vietnamese relations. The thesis also follows the perspectives of further development and potential of Vietnam as a future business partner for Czech companies.
Potential of the natural resources in the DR Congo in the background of conflicts

This thesis is about the situation in the DR Congo from the time of the Belgian colony till the present. It discusses the historical development of the country, bloody conflicts in the end of the 20th century and the OSN mission MONUC which operates in the country. All of this is influenced by the potential of natural resources that can raise the country from the developing countries group, but it can cause also a deeper slump.
