The Importance of Timely Diagnosis of Dyscalculia

The bachelor work is focused on diagnosing dyscalculia. Its aim is to highlight the consequences of the late diagnosis of dyscalculia for a child and its relatives. The work includes information about dyscalculia, its diagnosis and teaching methods. The work contains five cases of late diagnosing of dyscalculia, case studies, an evaluation of the consequences of the late diagnosis for the child and its relatives. There is also a comparison of the differences in the development of the child with early and late diagnosed dyscalculia and outlined remedies. The work includes the research about the awareness of dyscalculia and an information availability about it. There is a research of a frequency of the term dyslexia vs. dyscalculia in contemporary mass media too. The aim is to notice the lack of awareness of dyscalculia among teachers and non-teaching public, a summary outlining the implications and potential sources of improvement.
Assessment of school maturity for entry to elementary school

This bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of school maturity and readiness of preschool children at the enrollment to primary school. The theoretical part describes the developmental level of a preschool child and then defines the basic terms used in the text - the school maturity and readiness. Furthermore, the reader can read about the issue of assessment of school maturity and readiness of children before entering the primary school and about the regulation of compulsory school attendance. The aim of practical part is to evaluate functionality of the enrollment in terms of school maturity and readiness of preschool children assessment at six selected primary schools. Observations and interviews were used to achieve the objectives. Based on the analysis of collected data, the enrollment process at selected primary schools seems not to be fully functional. The practical part contains the recording data sheets monitoring the enrollment process at selected primary schools.
Stimulation of Graphomotoric Development of Pre-School Children

The thesis is focused on the description, monitoring and stimulation graphomotorics development of preschool children. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the development of the individual in preschoolers, hygiene and work habits which are important for graphomotorical development. It also discusses the development of graphomotorics and drawings. It also includes a description of graphomotor difficulties and subsequently programs that help stimulate graphomotorics development. The practical part consists of a qualitative research whose objective is to monitor a description of the effect graphomotoric stimulation in children attending a particular graphomotorical course. There is monitored the status and then move of seven children in selected areas before the course and after the course in the form of published case studies.
The concept or school consellor at primary school

Presented work concentrates on problems of educational counceling in school system. The first capture defines the concept of educational counceling and points on its historical defelopment and current tendency.The second capture focuses on the position of educational consultants at schools. Possibilities of their further education and the most ranges of activities in counceling are described in details together with the demands placed on the personality of educational consultant. Important sources of information to help professional development of educational consultants are mentioned as well. The main aim of this work is not to make the analysis of the problems but to outline the main themes connected with educational councelling. Used information were taken from the laws and relevant literature.
Public awareness of substitute family care

This diploma thesis deals with the public awareness of substitute family care. The theoretical part describes the current substitute family care system, its historical context based on the SFC models, including a summary of their advantages and disadvantages. There are also mentioned the changes that will follow after change the system of substitute family care after the entry into force of the amendment to the Act on Social and Legal Protection of Children. The practical part is focused on interviews with professionals working in this area. Experts are asked about current and future substitute family care system and their experience with it, including suggestions for possible changes. A choice of career as the prevention of unemployment

The bachelor thesis focuses on unemployment problems of school graduates from primary schools, high schools and universities. It is interested in employers' views on the exploitation of school graduates in the job market and gives information about consulting services in the educational system and employment. I mention the changes of amendment in consulting services at job centres. At the end of my bachelor thesis I compare differences between girls' and boys' approaches to education and their first employment. I find some parents' influence on their children's choice of careers.
Parent's Motives for Postponing Child's Compulsory School Attandance

In my Master Thesis, I am dealing with the issue of posponing child's school attendance with a special regard to the motives of parents leading to suspension. The Thesis is bothe theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part is mapping the theme of suspended school attendance and socio-pedagogical aspects related to the decision making process leading to suspension. The empirical part offers selected examples of parents' motivation apllying for postponing of their child's education. My research is based on interview and questionnaire. I used available Czech materials as a source of expert information and I draw from the experience of my empirical research in the last chapter.
The Child with ADHD Syndrome at Nursery School

This bachelor's thesis named "Child with ADHD Syndrome in Kindergarten" is aimed at mapping problems connected with upbringing and education of children with ADHD syndrome in the kindergarten environment. Such study could lead to extension of our knowledge of the ADHD syndrome, to understanding the child's living situation, and further to a description of possibilities of systematic work with such children which could result in allleviation of ADHD syndrome manifestations.
