Super-resolution methods
Franěk, Pavel ; Fedra, Petr (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor’s thesis is acquaint with method, which enable increasing resolution digital photos. Also realize individual interpolation method and Super-resolution by the help of programme Matlab and reference on estimation record. Discuss possibility using method super- resolution for imagery with medical modality.
Simulation of pharmacokinetic models
Hejč, Jakub ; Jiřík, Radovan (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
The theoretical part of this project is occupied with analysis of pharmacokinetic actions and also basic attributes of mathematical models used in pharmacokinetics. This description is mainly focused on models used for perfusion imaging methods. The aim of this project is to create an algorithm that simulates chosen models based on assigned parameters and also an algorithm that serves to fit experimentally measured data with a chosen model with a calculation of basic pharmacokinetic parameters. The next step of this solution is graphic interface realization which enables a full use of created algorithm in more accessible surroundings for the user. The result of this work is a program that can be used to obtain real data parameters and as well as a visual sample of the influence of these parameters on a process in a chosen functions.
Expert System for Detection of Ventricular Extrasystoles
Svánovská, Zuzana ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
Ventricular premature beats are ectopic changes in the ECG signal. Detection of ventricular extrasystoles on 12leads ECG was created in MATLAB. At first my work involves whether the ventricular premature beats comes from the right or the left ventricle. Another algorithm evaluates the incidence outflow tract of the chamber. If the previous algorithm shows signs of indecision, another algorithm is used for detection of ventricular extrasystoles at another location in the left ventricle. The last step is to narrow the area of detection which makes it easier to find the place of origin.
Properties of ultrasound probes
Rusina, Michal ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the measurement properties of ultrasound probes. Ultrasound probes and their parameters significantly affect the quality of the final image. Values of pa-rameters of the probes may change due to their use, because probes may be damaged and the final image may no longer be correct. For these reasons the measurements of parameters of probes are very important. In this master thesis there are described and implemented the possibility of measuring the spatial resolution, focal zone, the sensitivity of the probe and measuring the length of the dead zone. Two ultrasonic phantoms were used for measuring. In the practical part there was created the program called Mereni_parametru, which allows to determine the value of four parameters from captured images of the phantom. Further, there are listed and described measured values for five ultrasonic probes. Results for two of these probes are then compared with the parameters given by the manufacturers.
Realization of fingerprint scanner
Kovář, Martin ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the issue of scanning human fingerprints, which is currently very topical and represents the most widespread biometric technology. The theoretical part of the work acquaints the reader with basics of dactyloscopy and biometrics and concerns technologies used for fingerprinting, image preprocessing methods and commercially available contactless optical scanners. The practical part is a realisation of a contactless optical scanner based on a Raspberry Pi minicomputer, implementation of preprocessing algorithms in Python and testing of the device from the perspective of image quality.
Identification of the parameters of an electroencephalographic recording system
Properties measurement of ultrasound system in ophthalmology
Grebíková, Lucie ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
The thesis deals with physical principles of ultrasound with following specialization on ophtalmic ultrasound system Nidek Echoscan 4000 and its properties. And also it deals with description of investigative techniques in ophthalmology (A-mode, B-mode, biometry and pachymetry). Next, they was suggested procedures of measurement and that is spatial resolution (axial and lateral spatial resolution) and propagation speed of ultrasound depending on the temperature. Then these properties was tested on laboratory phantoms of eye – ETETECH LTD. and Multipurpose Ultrasound Phantom but on created phantoms of eye too, which will be made from agarose gel with build-in materail (fishing line, plastic film, plastic bag and rubber). At the end, measured values was processed in the generated program.
Data Transfer Protocol for Mobile Control Unit for Transporting Lungs
Trávníčková, Hana ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is a data transfer protocol implementation for a mobile control unit for transporting lungs. Apart from this thesis the data transfer protocol is used in AlveoPic project. The introductory part is focused on an anatomical and physiological background of a human respiratory system. Consequently it describes the i-Lung module and the mobile circulation module (MCM). It deals with the healthcare informatics interoperability standards with an emphasis to the ISO/IEEE 11073 standard. The subsequent part is represented by MCM’s simulator realization and design of a monitoring application. The final part aims at an analysis of the test cases for a monitoring application’s and a protocol framework’s control.
