Application of spectral element method in fluid dynamics
Pech, Jan ; Hron, Jaroslav (referee) ; Maršík, František (advisor)
This work presents application of spectral element method (SEM) for solving partial differential equations. This method can be seen as combination of spectral method (SM) and finite element method (FEM). Computational domain is decomposed to smaller elements, what enable description of more general geometries. On each element is then used the spectral method, which brings high accuracy. In this work the basic theory is presented for SM and SEM with emphasize to facilitate application of this method in developing computer programs. Numerical scheme is presented on several appropriate examples. The result of this work is in comparison of solution of chosen problems obtained by SM and SEM from written program. Comparison with professional software is also done and shows power of spectral methods.
The sprouting dynamics of coppices on experimental clear-cuts of Podyjí National park
Pech, Jiří ; Bače, Radek (advisor) ; Čada, Vojtěch (referee)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with literature review of the subject coppice and coppice-with-standards forest in Czech Republic as well as in Europe. It is concerned with definition of these coppice systems, historical and current progress of coppice and its distribution in Czech Republic and European Union. Further questions of the thesis are, if there is any reason to continue or to renovate silviculture of coppice and if so, for what reasons and what is optimal rotation period in coppice. Description of principal tree species with sprouting ability in Central Europe are included in the thesis as well. In the second part of the bachelor thesis sprouting ability in experimental research plots in National Park Podyjí are evaluated. The sprouting ability is evaluated for three principal tree species in Central Europe, oak, linden and hornbeam. The thesis compares interspecies relations in the initial growing speed of the shoots and the ability to produce the shoots in relation to diameter of the stump. Further the thesis is dealing with growing speed in relation to the amount of available light. Measuring, after five growing seasons, in total of twelve experimental plots, discovered the highest sprouting ability by linden (87%), then oak (43%) and hornbeam (32%). The thesis pointed out the significant interspecies differences in the ability to produce shoots. But the reliance of shoots producing on stump diameter has not been proved (for oak and hornbeam). Because the relationship between the height increment of shoots and the amount of available light was not significantly demonstrate, it can be assumed, that experimental plots (forest clearing) are extensive enough and the sprouting ability is not limited by the amount of available light.
Evaluation of the Financial Situation of the Company and Proposals for its Improvement
Pech, Jan ; Císařová, Miluše (referee) ; Sághy Estélyi, Kristína (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis on „Evaluation of the financial situation in the firm and proposals to its improvement” analyzes the financial situation of the state-owned enterprise DIAMO for 2008–2012. The theoretical part describes the methods and financial indicators, which are successively applied to the analyzed firm. The aim of the thesis is to assess the overall financial situation of the state-owned enterprise DIAMO and to form proposals leading to the improvement of the current financial situation.

Assessing of the Financial Situation of a Company Using Time Series
Pech, Jan ; Císařová, Miluše (referee) ; Doubravský, Karel (advisor)
Abstract Master’s thesis about „Assessing of the financial situation of a company using time series” focuses on a detailed assessment of the economic situation of the state-owned enterprise DIAMO between years 2005–2014. The theoretical part describes methods and indicators of strategic, financial and statistical analyses, which are in the next chapter sequentially applied on the analysed company. The content of the final chapter introduce proposals of elimination of the risk areas of the state-owned enterprise, while the greatest emphasis will be applied on the issue of rising shares of receivables and liabilities to total assets and ensuring positive economic result in corporate profit. The main object of this master’s thesis is assessing financial efficiency of state-owned enterprise DIAMO, afterward identifying risk areas and introducing possible precautions, which will lead to overall greater economic health of the enterprise itself.
Implementation of the Business Plan in Construction
Pech, Jiří ; Jabulka, Vladimír (referee) ; Vítková, Eva (advisor)
The main motivation for the business is making profits. For the creation of profit is the need to have a business plan. In order to have a successful business plan, we have to prepare it correctly, and then drive. The entire work is focused on the production, placing on the market and the management of the business plan. At the beginning of the introduction into the environment, and then everything is shown in a particular case. The aim is to show how to do this when you create a business plan, what pitfalls can occur and, above all, from the complex situation do the advantage.
Projects Financing from the EU Funds
Pech, Jiří ; Skovajsa, Adam (referee) ; Heralecký, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is to consider various ways how to finance entrepreneurial plan of a concrete manufacturing company with the focus on project financing from the European Union funds. In the theoretical part financing forms from the European Funds are discussed. Practical part focuses on Montanna Ltd, possible investment objectives are presented. Cost Management in the Building Company
Pech, Jiří ; Jabulka, Vladimír (referee) ; Vítková, Eva (advisor)
The primary objective of business enterprise is profit formation. As for the price formation it is necessary to proceed in the direction from costs. To have a prosperous building company, we need to manage costs and have them under control. All work is focused on cost management. At the beginning we need to focus on the introduction into the operating environment, and then everything is demonstrated on one of the largest Czech building companies. The aim is to validate the importance of cost management for profit formation and the possibility to achieve company growth even in hard times.
Application of the act and subsequent regulation on cyber security at state administration´s offices
Pech, Jan ; Čermák, Igor (advisor) ; Jícha, Karel (referee)
The thesis is focused on the Czech act no. 181/2014 Sb., on cyber security and subsequent regulations, introduces origin and importance of act, defines the state administration´s office which identifies important information systems according to regulations, and subsequently thesis detailed analyses act and regulation on cyber security in relation to the defined state administration´s office. Keynote of this thesis is show the real application of identified obligations of the act and regulation to the defined state administration´s office, especially a design, implementation and management of organizational and technical security measures, including the evaluation of real impact on information security. To achieve the set goals author of this thesis uses the analysis of legislation, and draws own conclusions from author´s position of a security technologist who actively participated in the design security policy, and implementation and management of security tools. The benefit of this thesis is complex overview of the security employees work at defined state administration´s office, overview of the real fulfilment obligations of the act and regulation of cybernetic security, and ultimately this thesis brings ideas for further development of technical security tools. This thesis can brings benefit to other important information systems administrators as a set of processes, proposals and recommendation for their own information security management system. This thesis is structurally divided into four main parts. The first theoretical part introduces origin, importance and impact of the act on state and private organizations. The second analytical part analyses act and subsequent regulations in relation to the defined state administration´s office. The third practical part shows the real application of organizational and technical security measures. The fourth last part evaluates the real impact of measures on information security.
