Contemporary magazines for pre-school children from family point of view
Matoušková, Vendula ; Laufková, Veronika (advisor) ; Zimová, Lucie (referee)
The thesis "Contemporary Magazines for Preschool Children from Family Point of View" introduces the area of reading pre-literacy focused on the issue of children's magazines. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the notion of the pre-literacy and the importance of reading pre-literacy in relation to the child of pre-school age. It also focuses on the child's relationship to the book and the children's magazine. The empirical part aims to explore children's magazines through documentary analysis, focusing on the content of current magazines for pre- school children. Another goal is to find out, by means of a questionnaire survey, on what criteria the parents choose children's magazines and what role the children themselves have in choosing the magazine. The results of the analysis found that there are magazines of good quality and content suitable for preschool children (Báječná školka, Raketa) and lesser quality magazines (Barbie, Auta). The results of the questionnaire survey show that most parents choose a children's magazine according to the quality of the texts, however the children's wishes plays an important role in the selection.
Using a container traffic problem whíle planing concrete delivery
Zimová, Lucie ; Borovička, Adam (advisor) ; Dlouhý, Martin (referee)
This bachelor thesis applies linear programming methods to specific data of the company Českomoravský beton a. s. The aim of the thesis is to plan the distribution of concrete from two concrete plants in order to maximize the profit. Mathematical modeling, namely a modified mathematical model of a container transport problem, is used for this purpose. Mathematical modeling, linear programming, transport problem, container transport problem as well as integer programming are theoretically described in the text. Another part is devoted to the real problem of the company Českomoravský beton a. s. Here is a detailed description of the situation that the company is struggling with and then a mathematical model. The work offers several modifications of this problem and a detailed description of all the results achieved. The conclusion of the thesis is the comparison of the achieved results with the current situation in the company Českomoravský beton a. s.

The role of charged residues in the activation and modulation of the TRPA1 ion channel
Zímová, Lucie ; Vlachová, Viktorie (advisor) ; Doležal, Vladimír (referee) ; Rokyta, Richard (referee)
Important receptor for sensing painful stimuli is ion channel TRPA1, which is expressed in peripheral endings of nociceptive neurons, where it serves as transducer of physical and chemical environmental signals to the language of the nervous system. The effort to understand the mechanisms of its activity on a molecular level is driven by the vision of progress in treatment of chronic pain in humans. Our work focused on C-terminal cytoplasmic domain of TRPA1 receptor, where we described i.a. the probable binding site for calcium, which is the most important TRPA1 modulator. Using the combination of homology modeling and molecular dynamic simulations with electrophysiological measurements we were able to explain molecular basis of familial pain syndrome caused by TRPA1 point mutation. We contributed to the understanding of the TRPA1 voltage-dependent activation mechanism by describing the amino acids in proximal C-terminus and in S4-S5 linker of transmembrane domain that are directly involved in voltage-dependent gating. Project of the optional seminar for grammar schools focused on extending the theoretical knowledge and the interpretation skills of poetry based on the production of Czech poets publishing after 1989
Roldánová, Šárka ; Hník, Ondřej (advisor) ; Zimová, Lucie (referee)
The objective of the thesis is to enhance the role of poetry within the literacy education at grammar schools, which has been on the edge of teacher's and student's interest since a while. Following the existing binding rules of education the thesis is made to build up a positive attitude to poetry in students and targets to improve their knowledge and personal approach to this part of literature. While being focused on that its content struggles to extend their theoretical skills of literary interpretation as well as practical ones. Last but not least the thesis would like to avoid the stereotypes teachers keep about poetry and its application at school.
The role of TLR-4 receptors for modulation of nociceptive signalling.
Slepička, Jakub ; Paleček, Jiří (advisor) ; Zímová, Lucie (referee)
The ability to feel pain is subjective, but a crucial factor allowing us to maintain life with minimal body impairment. However, if the pain crosses the physiological signalling function it becomes a life restrictive symptom that is often difficult to treat. Development of pain and its change into pathological chronic symptom and the role of different molecular and cellular mechanisms in this process are best to be studied during its development, nociception. In this work the basic characteristics of nociceptive signalling, with focus on neuropathy, a state originating from nervous system damage is given. The exact mechanisms of neuropathic pain development are not known, which is one of the reasons why these painful states are difficult to treat. Neuroinflammation was lately shown to play an important part in the neuropathy development. In this context a review of Toll-like receptors is given. These receptors have a fundamental role in the innate immunity and their role in the nervous system was documented recently. In this review a focus is given on TLR-4 subtype that was shown to be involved in a modulation of nociceptive signalling. The basic features of this receptor and information about its involvement in neuropathic pain development are given. Studying the role of TLR-4 in different models...
