Tato studie se zabývá problematikou typologizace Martinových postav, které během své knižní cesty procházejí vývojem výrazně tříbícím jejich charakterové rysy, což nám dává možnost je zařadit k literárním typům. Pro pochopení výběru a typizace postav je nezbytná důsledná konfrontace s biografickými texty. Stručná biografie je naznačena v první kapitole. Ve druhé části jsou následně představeny základní principy, na kterých se tyto typologie zakládají. Práce se zabývá postavami, které jsou nejen ženskými hlavními charaktery knižní ságy, ale také prochází významným vývojem. V průběhu práce bylo vytyčeno šest nejvýraznějších ženských typů - manipulativní žena, matka, žena dychtící po trůnu, žena bořící vymykající se standardům, šílená žena a žena zmítaná osudem, která se mu vymaní. Každé této kategorii je věnována jedna kapitola se stručným uvedením problematiky a je zastoupena několika postavami, jež dané typologii odpovídají. Rovněž je zvažováno, jakým způsobem postavy v plnění daného typu postupují shodně a v jakém se liší. Jedná se o literární typy, které mohou mít platnost i v reálném světě a vyobrazují základní lidské vlastnosti, ačkoliv jsou zasazeny do zcela fikčního světa a velmi výrazně (až teatrálně) zvýrazněné. V závěru se práce věnuje shrnutí, jak spolu tyto typy souvisí, jejich spojení s... This thesis deals with the typology of Martin's characters, which, during their stories, undergo a development that significantly distinguish their character traits, which gives us the opportunity to categorize them into literary types. A consistent confrontation with biographical texts is necessary to understand the selection and character typing. A brief biography is mentioned in the first chapter. The basic principles on which these typologies are based on are presented in the second chapter. This bachelor thesis deals not solely with the main female characters of the saga, but specifically with those undergoing a crucial character development. Six of the most prominent female types were determined - a manipulative woman, a mother, a woman desiring the throne, a woman not following the standards, a mad woman, and a woman controlled by the fate. Each category has its own chapter devoted to it with a brief introduction to the issue and is represented by several characters corresponding to the given typology. It is also considered how the characters proceed in the same way or how they differ following the characteristics of the given type.
