"Forming of constitution system in Ukraine"
Judlová, Julija ; Zilynskyj, Bohdan (advisor) ; Kubát, Michal (referee)
My Diploma Work "Forming of constitution system in Ukraine" is characterised by two directions which are fade into one another. Firstly, I dealt with classification of the constitution system in contemporary Ukraine from the historical point of view, regarding its constitutional traditions during running history and level of influences from neighbouring states to constitution forming. Secondly, I gave characteristic to the certain constitution of Ukraine in 1996 - as the result of political struggles in the country - including the way and the process of its adoption. I also paid attention to constitution mechanisms functioning in practise. In conclusion I have tried to objectively evaluate political system, which was created in Ukraine together with adoption of the constitution of 1996, and also to classify the level of democratisation of present-day Ukraine. Picture of Life on Charles Bridge in the 16th and 17th Centuries
Most byl založen v polovině 14. století a tudíž starší období nepřichází v úvahu. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Jan Velvar A Diplomat of the Hussite Revolution
Zejména ve Stoličném Bělehradě, kde stál místo nepřítomného Rokycany v čele českého poselstva a přispěl svým rozhodným a neústupným vystupováním k obhajobě kompaktát.
Activities of the Ukrainian civic associations in Prague from 2001 to 2013
Vágnerová, Vendula ; Zilynskyj, Bohdan (advisor) ; Svoboda, Karel (referee)
This thesis deals with the Ukrainian minority associations in Prague from 2001 to 2013. The Ukrainian minority in our country has a long tradition, although the nature of its activity is influenced by different waves of migration and socio-political changes since the early 20th century to the present. After a long period of repression, national minorities activity was restored in 1990, when official registration of minority civic associations was granted. The first of these were established by the Ukrainians from the earlier migration waves or by their descendants, while the new associations registered after 2001 were usually created in connection with the significant increase of Ukrainian migrants, coming to the Czech Republic since the 90s, and caused by the diversification of the Ukrainian minority. The thesis therefore presents a report on the Ukrainian organizations in Prague in the period from 2001 until 2013, reflecting their development, differences, and introducing the specific activities as a means to achieving the goals of associations and needs of their members. At the same time, this work highlights several elements that associate the social activity of the Ukrainian minority. At the same time, the purpose of the introduction of the Ukrainian diaspora in Prague is to offer a better...
The Dilemma of the Ukrainian Nation-building: the Creation of New National Myths
Shenshyn, Oleg ; Zilynskyj, Bohdan (advisor) ; Vykoukal, Jiří (referee)
Ukrainian state lacks an effective historical memory policy. For this reason, the Ukrainian nation- building project lacks ideological capabilities to consolidate Ukrainian society. The dilemma regarding the national myths is the main challenge of the Ukrainian nation-building project. The dilemma emerged in choosing between the myth of the national liberation struggle of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and the myth of the Great Patriotic War. Both myths are struggling for an important place in the pantheon of Ukrainian history, but fisrt of all for a recognition of Ukrainian society. This resulted in the creation of conflicting historical identities. Ukrainian elite have long time speculated on the differences in the historical identity, which largely contributed to social fragmentation. This thesis describes how national myths interact with nation-building project and also analyzes the content of the most crucial interpretations of the historical myths.

NEWSPAPER OF TESIN (analysis of the sixth year of the edition)
Franková, Barbora ; Zilynskyj, Bohdan (advisor) ; Hnilica, Jiří (referee)
In my dissertation I focused on the sample analysis of the sixth year of the edition of the Noviny Těšínské (the Newspaper of Tesin) which had been published from December 1899 to the end of November 1900 and how the newspaper reflected events and relationships not only in the region of Tesin, but also outside of it. The core of my dissertation are relationships among three national communities living together in the region at that time-the Czechs, Poles and Germans (one of the chapters also monitors the Jewish religion community and the local people's attitude to it). Reciprocal conflicts among the above mentioned national communities appeared in all areas of everyday life - in education, economy, language, matters, politics, in the relationship to the monarchy and also to events happening in the world. The region of the Tesin was a part of one of the Crown lands - Silesia. In spite of that fact the newspaper wasn't restricted only to the events from this Crown land but also the information from other territory of the Czech Crown kingdom, news from the Austrian-Hungary Empire and even from all the world can be met there. Reading up the sixth year of the Noviny Tešínské edition leads to the formation of a compacted idea how the newspaper's authors and all population in this region percepted the situation...
