Making CLIPS Available from Ruby
Čecho, Jaroslav ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Letko, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis describes a library called rbClips that makes CLIPS functionality available from Ruby. CLIPS is a public domain tool for building expert systems that was originally developed in NASA in 90's. The tool itself is written in C but its user interface is very similar to the Lisp language. Ruby is a modern dynamic scripting language that offers programmer flexible syntax, purely object environment, openness of objects and other interesting features. The library is ment to be used to build expert system for detection of a possibly malicious code in an antivirus software.
Framework for a Web Internet Service
Hájek, Filip ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Hrubý, Martin (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design and implement a containerized web service, which provides the ability to create and run users' tasks. The task is only an abstraction over some particular implementation of computation. The task runs as a Docker container. The thesis also implements user management and the method of running task charging. The system architecture consists of a REST API web server and a user web environment. Worker applications are an essential component of the system. They start user tasks assigned by the server. The system was implemented using the .NET 6 framework in programming language C#. The run of the service has been simulated in a Docker environment. The service integrates existing Auth0 and Google Cloud Storage services. The result is an internet service deployed on a public cloud server.
Using of Linux Containers in Test Fixture
Országh, Marián ; Rogalewicz, Adam (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
The main focus of this thesis is the study of Linux containers and their application in creation of software test fixtures. The program solution divides the problem into several segments. At first, a configurationisset upin accordance with the user’s specification, next a container is created according to given configuration, and in the end,the created container is launched alongside supplied tests while using the Docker platform. The program itself meets initial requirements although its functionality is not guaranteed as a result of usage of third-party software such as package managers, which may cause unexpected runtime errors. Primary asset of the thesis is the wrapping of the Docker platform to the degree, that its user needs minimal, or no knowledge of the platform, and allows them to create containers in a simplified way
A Test Suite for the OpenLDAP/NSS Project
Špůrek, David ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create a test suite for the OpenLDAP/NSS project. The work clarifies the principles of testing, automation testing in a GNU/Linux environment, and the concepts of LDAP and NSS. Tests are designed for Fedora/Red Hat Enterprise Linux distribution and they are automated using shell scripting and the Beakerlib library for testing.  Black-box testing method is used to design tests. The tests focus on the integration of OpenLDAP and NSS. In the thesis, tests are designed and implemented for openldap-clients, kerberos, nss-pam-ldapd, samba, and autofs packages.
An Extension of Support for Archives in GVFS
Holý, Ondřej ; Charvát, Lukáš (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with an extension of archive daemon in GVFS system. The extension was designed, implemented, and tested based on an analysis of current state of the daemon, LibArchive library options, and similar projects. The main benefit of the extension is an easy manipulation with files in an archive via GIO API, which is used by many applications running in GNU/Linux operating system. Files and folders included in an archive can be read, renamed, moved, copied or deleted, it can also create empty directories. Daemon also allows creating new archives of a desired format.
System for Loging Changes in Operating System
Pečeňa, Jan ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Peringer, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis describes the design and implementation of applications for the detection of changes in the operating system. Window´s registry, registry key, subkey and value are explained in introductory part. Hash function needed to identify the changed files is explained too. The created application is fully functional and works with 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows. Actual state is saved in the first run. Changes in operating system are detected in the second run. Operating system is installed in a VMWare virtual machine.
A Probe of Build Automation for Continuous Integration
Kačmarčík, Martin ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a probe of build automation for continuous integration. The problem is solved by integrating existing systems such as Foreman, Jenkins and GitLab into a single system. The contribution of this thesis is a functional solution that is ready to be used in low- and middle-scale projects.
Detectors of Structured Data for Generating Test Data
Znojil, Ondřej ; Turoňová, Lenka (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
This works is focused on design and implementation of utility for analysis of structured data of often used formats as JSON or XML. Utility is one of many components of Testos platform, which is set of testing utilities, communicating with each other. Primary goal of this thesis is creation of analysator for the prupose of testing. Utility is used to aggregate input data, determine occurence of each data entity and abstraction of its scalar values.
Simple Window Manager for X Window System
Zajdák, Jiří ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Peringer, Petr (advisor)
Goal of the project is the creation of the simple window manager for X Window System. At first there are explained the principles of work of the graphic applications then the design of window manager and its implementation in the text. The window manager decorates the top-level windows of applications frames which contain functional buttons. For an easily operating are supported virtual screens and hot keys. The panel intended for graphic of plugins, which are implemented as shared libraries, is set in the bottom part of the screen The application place emphasis on minimal memory requirement.
Testsuite for Analysis of Properties of Tuned Profiles
Blaškovič, Branislav ; Letko, Zdeněk (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
This work is aiming to analyze Tuned profiles with automatic tests. The tests are ran on the most common disk devices and file systems. It is also dedicated to automatic evaluation of these tests and shows other tools that can be used to test speed of disk operations.
