Velička, Tomáš ; Hlaváček, Ivan (advisor) ; Pátková, Hana (referee) ; Ryantová, Marie (referee)
The present work deals with confirmations that have issued Bohemian kings and princes of Silesia to Bohemian or Silesian towns. The work is divided into five parts. The first deals with existing exploration and methodological inspiration that I subsequently used. The second chapter summarizes the findings regarding the process of confirmation documents - from motives of its release, through the process of the documents in the office during the procedure, to handing over the finished instrument beneficiaries and paying taxes. Then I deal with the various types of confirmations and also I discuss separately the observational charters. The third part is devoted confirmations for the Bohemian towns with regard to all documents which the royal towns received, published by Bohemian kings. The problems are discussed from the perspective of publishers and recipients, as well as the documents themselves (their content, form). The same shall apply also in the case of the fourth chapter, which deals with the same aspects of the Silesian towns and confirmations, which they were received. The final chapter summarizes the findings, which I reached on the previous pages. An important part of this thesis is a variety of reports and graphs to better perceive the immediate context and development trends. I also deal with...

The Nobility in the Usti Region in the Context of Early Modern Heraldic and Epigraphic Relicts
Šrejber, Adam ; Pátková, Hana (advisor) ; Hlaváček, Ivan (referee) ; Roháček, Jiří (referee)
The Nobility in the Usti Region in the Context of Early Modern Heraldic and Epigraphic Relicts The Ústí region is one of regions which were affected by a loss of historical memory after the Second World War. It was caused by the elimination of a large part of the cultural heritage to a considerable extent. The Royal Town "Ústí nad Labem" was a common and traditional centre of the region at the beginning of the Early Modern period. It had an influence on the development of the whole region on a number of aspects. The absence of a larger noble dominion with a major administrative centre gave a space to minor noble properties, and to a construction of humbler religious buildings. Churches and their movables are often only relics of the formerly spectacular noble representation in the region. A doctor thesis concentrates on the documentation and interpretation of heraldic and epigraphic relics through which people from five noble families presented themselves in the Ústí region. Bearers of sign and inscription elements have been put into the wide, especially art historical context of a cultural heritage fund of North-West Bohemia. The thesis extends knowledge of the use of arms and inscriptions in seven religious buildings which came into existence on the initiative of the nobility of a foreign origin,...

Šulc, Martin ; Pátková, Hana (advisor) ; Bláhová, Marie (referee)
This thesis is about the nobility within the region of Podblanicko, especially its part called Mladovožicko, primarily between years 1350-1450. The thesis focuses especially on property possession of here living nobility, but also reflects relationship between this nobility and church in terms of priests appoitments to the local parish churches. Both secular and clerical sources were reasonable to use for this work. As a main source of information the old bohemian Land and Court Tables were used. In the field of church administration primarily the confirmation and erection books of Prague Archbishopric were abstracted, as well as some judicial documents of Prague Consistory. Other various documents were added to the text to make the work more understandable and to gain a better insight into the life of Mladovožicko nobility in the late Middle Ages.
