Visual inspection
Lancz, Michal ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
This semester thesis deals with the issue of visual inspection. As a gruop of controlled objects we have have chosen needles. In this work basic knowledge on the topic of computer vision is described. In the first part, methods of image processing such as smoothing filters and edge filters are discribed. The selected programming environment is Matlab. This enviroment can easily present and compare the obtained result. Following part presents the examples of the used resultant methods on the sample picture.
Image processing using Android - LPR with external database
Molčány, Peter ; Horák, Karel (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
The aim of this Master's thesis is designing and developing Android application for automatic number plate recognition with external database lookup. In the introduction we discuss possibilities of number plate recognition in general. Android platform fundamentals, necessary developer tools and multi-platform image processing library OpenCV are described in the second section. In the third section different database types and synchronization methods are introduced. In the fourth section we describe basics of image processing and different algorithms necessary for recognition. Application requirements, involving scene and hardware requirements are defined in the fifth section. In the sixth section application development and algorithm implementation is described. In the seventh section we evalute the results of the detection. In the last section results are summarized and goals are set for further improvement.
Contactless speed measurement
Opletal, Tomáš ; Janáková, Ilona (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
Semestral thesis discusses realization of system for Contactless speed measurement of paper. At first, it discusses basics of computer image processing and analysis of movement of an object. The next chapter describes whole process of choosing measurement method, camera, lightning, output interface and description of implemented algorithm. Next chapter contains summary of achieved result. Last chapter describes summary of this work, advantages and disadvantages of this system.
Image processing using Android device - gas-meter value recognition
Wertheim, Michal ; Davídek, Daniel (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of the image processing for Android system, consisting of the choice of the development environment and its implementation. Workflow soluti-on to the problem involves development of the Androidapplication and it’s graphical user interface. The text includes description of the application functionality, communica-tionwith a camera, storing and retrieving data. It also describes used algo-rithms and image processing methods used for detecting values from the counter of the gas meter.
Reliable visual systems
Honec, Peter ; Janáková, Ilona (advisor)
The Doctoral thesis demonstrates the design of reliable industrial visual systems. The special emphasis is dedicated to the detection of defects on webs in industrial applications based on line-scan cameras. This system makes possible detection and classification of defects originating during the real production conditions. This work covers a theoretical study of a visual system for the defect detection on endless bands as well as of appropriate lighting and the scene arrangement. Further to that have been selected, adjusted and designed key components of hardware. Following the design and optimization of algorithms a system prototype had been installed on non-woven textiles production line. Eight visual systems implemented into real-life industrial conditions based on this prototype
Design of LED lighting for industrial camera systems
Svoboda, Martin ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Janáková, Ilona (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the development, design and construction of multispectral lighting for industrial camera systems. The lighting is conceived as a modular device consisting of two parts - a control unit, which can be communicated primarily through the Modbus TCP / IP protocol, which powers, controls and collects information about the connected lighting unit. The illumination unit is equipped with 64 intelligent RGBW light emitting diodes located in an 8x8 matrix and one control diode opposite to which light intensity sensors are placed to give feedback on the color and intensity of the light. There are two temperature sensors located between the LEDs to check the temperature of the lighting unit. Both units are housed in a robust aluminum chassis. The control unit contains a microcomputer programmed in C language
Adjustment of scene for electronic devices detection
Hynčica, Tomáš ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Janáková, Ilona (advisor)
This work describes development of control hardware and software for automatic production of tuning fork with tip for atomic force microscopy (AFM). A specialized device implementing the problem is developed and tested. The advantage of the proposed solution is the ability to produce the tuning forks with constant parameters, which is an important condition for successful work with the microscope.
PowerLine Communication for LED unit control
Šebesta, Ondřej ; Janáková, Ilona (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design and testing of a system for powerline communication, enabling control of LED lights. The work first describes the basic principles of powerline communication, specifies the communication bands and summarizes the basic functional requirements for communication within the system for LED lighting control. It also describes the method of selecting a modem for powerline communication, the design of a test module with this modem and also the method of testing real communication between two test modules, including test results. The most comprehensive part of the work describes the design of hardware and software of the universal PLC module and how to use it. In addition, it referes to the development tools used as an example of implementation in LED lighting. At the end of the work are summarized the results of testing the proposed system.
3D reconstruction
Kluka, Daniel ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the creation of algorithms for image processing of control machines. For successful scanning before creating an algorithm to correct the system that is during image processing. Development of algorithms running in the PyCharm development programming environment together with the Python programming language and the OpenCV library. The work is partly devoted to image processing in the Matlab development environment. The main goal is to study the possibilities of scanning control cameras and designing suitable mathematical devices before using a 3D shape.
HDR (high dynamic range) image capture using line-scan camera
Říha, Radim ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on designing a system for controlling line scan cameras, which allows HDR image acquisition. The thesis first explains line scan cameras and the principle of HDR acquisition. Design of the control system and explanation of the individual signals and interfaces follows. Next the components are chosen, and the controller is designed as a microcontroller with additional circuitry, allowing for communication and control of other system blocks. Design, assembly, and evaluation of the controller PCB including the design of the box follows. The next part of the thesis explains the firmware, which was designed and tweaked during the hardware design stage. The application for controlling the system and image processing is designed next. In the final part, the whole system functionality is tested with a prototype of the lighting and the system is evaluated.
