Design of fan for electric machines
Švec, Dalibor ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
Aim of this bachelor thesis is to program a design calculator for different types of ventilators. Calculator should be able to display design of ventilator, draw characteristics to a graph and show characteristic numbers of ventilator. Calculation is based on characteristic numbers and theory developed especially for ventilators.
Object manipulation based on image processing using a serial manipulator
Cahlík, Radim ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Adámek, Roman (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to make a robotic manipulator work, to create a software able to do image processing and to make these two parts collaborate together. In the first part, commissioning of the robot is described, where the key was to determine the original state and repair damaged parts. Then the thesis focuses on rebuilding the end effector to an electromagnet to fit for the required application. Next part is about creating a method for object identification and determination of its position. This software is made in MATLAB. Realization of a practical demonstration is carried out in the last part.
Linear crane trajectory design and control
Krakovský, Jozef ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Bastl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with control of linear bridge cranes using three selected methods. In theoretical part, it gives information about basic structure of each selected algorithm and basic mathematical relations. In the middle, control of algorithms is simulated using created simulation programs in MATLAB. After that, the algorithms are applied on laboratory model of linear crane and in the end all of them are evaluated according to achieved results.
Implementation of kinematics algorithms for the four legged mobile robot
Králík, Jan ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Sova, Václav (advisor)
The goal of the work is restore a quadruped walking spider-type robot named Jaromír. Part of the work is a body design that is then printed on a 3D printer. Another part is the design and creation of a new control board, which’ll include sensor equipment appropriate for robot operation. Subsequently, the thesis deals with the design of the tactile sensor’s and their fitting on the legs. The final part is implementation of the algorithm for robot control. The goal was to put the model to a state where it could be used for learning and presentations.
Detekce osob v obraze pomocí Raspberry Pi
Svoboda, Lukáš ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Matějásko, Michal (advisor)
This thesis describes the detection of people in the image using camera devices with focus on using a Raspberry Pi minicomputer. There were created algorithms processing image data and containing algorithms, which are able to distiguish whether it is incoming or outcoming person. Another role of these softwares is to send data to the ThingSpeak platform, where charts are made from the data. The detectors of people are based on Optical flow and ACF - Aggregate Channel features methods. All software was created in the development environment MATLAB/Simulink.
Realization of camera module for mobile robot as independent ROS node
Albrecht, Ladislav ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
Stereo vision is one of the most popular elements in the field of mobile robots and significantly contributes to their autonomous behaviour. The aim of the diploma thesis was to design and implement a camera module as a hardware sensor input, which is independent, with the possibility of supplementing the system with other cameras, and to create a depth map from a pair of cameras. The diploma thesis consists of theoretical and practical part, including the conclusion of results. The theoretical part introduces the ROS framework, discusses methods of creating depth maps, and provides an overview of the most popular stereo cameras in robotics. The practical part describes in detail the preparation of the experiment and its implementation. It also describes the camera calibration and the depth map creating. The last chapter contains an evaluation of the experiment.
Educating model for mechatronics: model development and fast USB communication
Formánek, Martin ; Vejlupek, Josef (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
Druhá časť je venovaná hardwaru zariadenia, medzi čo patrí voľba vhodného motoru, návrh vhodných elektronických komponentov, návrh dosiek plošných spojov a taktiež mechanickej konštrukcie celého zariadenia. Kombinácia navrhnutých hardwarových a softwarových prvkov umožňuje jednoduchú cestu k zlepšeniu vedomostí študentov v oblastiach programovania, riadenia a modelovaní sústav. Pre tieto účely je práca rozšírená o pracovný list, ktorý dopĺňa navrhnuté zariadenie o sadu experimentálnych úloh, zameraných na vybrané mechatronické problémy.
Creating a library in Simulink for measuring devices
Petr, Kryštof ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the creation of a library in Simulink for communication with the target device. The theoretical part describes the various options by which communication could be solved. In the practical part are the results of their mutual comparison and also variants of real-time synchronization of the simulation. The output of this work is a library for Simulink and also a set of sample tasks for easier understanding.
Possibilities of SQL database design in MATLAB and realization of database structure for storing measurement results
Michálek, Petr ; Dobossy, Barnabás (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
This thesis is describing the usage of SQL database systems with MATLAB. The objective is to do market research considering the use of SQL databases, compare those systems and their implementation. The aim is to create tools that would allow the SQL database to be operated using MATLAB without the usage of a paid Database Toolbox. The last goal is to showcase these tools.
Construction of laboratory model "Ball on Spool"
Pohludka, Jan ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Dobossy, Barnabás (advisor)
This thesis is primarily about designing laboratory model Ball on Spool. The first part of this thesis describes modelling of the system, calculation of parameters, design of the control and simulation, based on which the requirements for the actuator are determined. Secondly, this thesis outlines the design of physical model based on simulation results. All of the components used are described, together with the electrical circuit. Parameters of the physical model are estimated using measured data from experiments. The last part is about designing a control of physical model and its demonstration. This thesis also includes a user manual.
