Design of a tablet press
Opravil, Petr ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Hermanský, Dominik (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the construction of a rotary tablet press for use in the pharmaceutical industry. First part describes the process of tableting and then the types of rotary tablet presses and their uses. The second part is focused on the construction of a rotary tablet press and the basic strength calculations of its parts.
Design of a tablet press
Nečas, Zbyněk ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Hermanský, Dominik (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to develop your own design of a tablet press for the pharmaceutical industry, including selected production drawings, assembly drawings and models in a 3D modeler. In the introductory part, the thesis deals with a search in the field of tablet presses and the subsequent evaluation of the current state of knowledge. Furthermore, the work contains design calculations necessary for the construction of this machine and a discussion of parts of the final design. Finally, the resulting parameters of the design solution and possible recommendations for practice are evaluated.
Passive axial magnetic bearing
Dostál, Patrik ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Pruša, Radomír (advisor)
The goal of the bachelor thesis is to measure the characteristics of a passive magnetic bearing. The practical part of the thesis consists of two segments – experimental measurement of properties of a passive axial magnetic bearing and a simulation of this bearing using the finite element method in the FEMM application. The simulation also dealt with the effects of temperature on the bearing. It was discovered that high temperatures considerably lower the axial stiffness of the magnetic bearing. Other effects on the stiffness of the bearing were taken into consideration, especially the dimensions of used magnets and the distance between them. The values that were determined by the experimental measurement and the FEMM simulation were mutually compared. The analysed bearing was built for use in a seal-less centrifugal pump. The values determined by the simulation and the measurement were applied to practical use in pumps. A part of the thesis was concerned with a research on passive magnetic bearings. The research dealt with the principle of the bearings, their structure and their application.
Construction design of one purpose face milling machine
Cagáň, Juraj ; Holub, Michal (referee) ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (advisor)
In introduction chapters of the bachelor's thesis there is described a wide range of options for components selection in the design phase of a CNC machine, from a hobby or a professional field. Subsequently, there are introduced 3 conceptual variants of the kinematic arrangement and several relevant criteria, on the basis of which the most suitable one will be chosen. By using the acquired knowledge, in the practical part there is described the process of machine´s individual parts selection, supplemented by the basic technical calculations.
Design of PLC program for linear motor drive
Kolbinger, Ondřej ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Pruša, Radomír (advisor)
In its first part, this work deals with the study of various types of linear motors and the principle of their operation. The next part deals with programmable logic controllers, their composition and the possibilities of programming languages. In addition, it deals with the requirements that are placed on shelf stackers. Related to this is the part that deals with the individual parts of the stackers. The second part of this work then focuses on the practical design of two PLC programs for driving with a linear motor and the way in which they were solved by parts of the program. In connection with this, I explain the partial parts of the assembly on which one of the programs was tested and describe the work with Unidrive M Connect and Machine Control Studio.
Design and construction hobby milling machine
Štěpánek, Vojtěch ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
This work deals with comparing CNC machines. It compares components used in small hobby machines with components of large commercial machines. The work also focused on the design and construction of real CNC milling machine branded as MillVOY and findings from its testing. Emphasis during the construction is laid on minimizing costs by the use of ma-ximum of normalized parts. Lowering the cost can make these small milling machines affor-dable for any workshop.
Virtual commissioning of the one purpose measuring machine
Mour, Jiří ; Bražina, Jakub (referee) ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the virtual commissioning of a single-purpose measuring station for measuring square-shaped plate components by a comparative method of measurement. The theoretical part deals with current methods of automatic measurement in industry and an overview of sensors for measuring length dimensions. The practical part describes the modification of the 3D model of the measuring station in the software NX Mechatronics Concept Designer and the structure of the PLC program in the software TIA Portal, including the mathematical procedure for processing measured data from the sensors. The visualization of the HMI control panel with screens for various modes of the measuring station was also processed.
Design of buckles feeder
Mach, Stanislav ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design a device for relocation and orientation of special clamps using vibration technology. The introductory part describes the analysis of the current state of science and technology in the field of vibration technology. The next part describes the design of the device itself, risk analysis and economic evaluation of the whole device.
Design of the robotic work cell
Gálová, Eva ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Bražina, Jakub (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to study the issue of creating a production cell and its subsequent simulation. The simulation operates with a workpiece in a robotic deburring process using a stationary robot. The theoretical part outlines the benefits of virtual commissioning, explains the concept of a digital factory and its examples, and describes robotic programming possibilities. To decide a component selection, robotic deburring and end effectors are explained. Selected components are then used in the practical part. Furthermore, for simulation purposes, one of three designed workplace layouts is selected. The software Process Simulate is used to depict the process of establishing a robotic workplace, which includes robotic operations, sensors, a material flow, and output signals. As a result, a robotic study in Process Simulate, a robotic program, and output signals are developed.
Thermal effects in machine tools
Marek, Tomáš ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Hermanský, Dominik (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with thermal effects on machine tools. The work is divided into several section. The first part is an introduction to basic thermomechanical concepts. The next part is focused on the deformation caused by heat during machining and the negative impact on the accuracy of the workpiece. Furthermore, there is a problem in the prediction and subsequent of thermal error compensation. The last part is devoted to the analysis of a specific part of machine tools. It examines various company solve the problem of thermal effects on the spindle.
