Gothic mural painting in castle chapels in Bohemia
Čechová, Lucie ; Royt, Jan (referee) ; Hlaváčková, Jana Hana (advisor)
This work is an investigation of Czech Gothic murals in castle chapels in Bohemia. The key for including of a mural to the catalogue was the founding date between early middle-ages up to the year 1526; end of the hegemony of the Jagellon dynasty amongst Bohemian Kingdom. The core of the work is a comprehensive catalogue of such murals. Included are 12 localities where these murals can be found, dating through 300 years of the middle-ages. Not included in this catalogue are the three well-documented sacral spaces in Karlštejn castle, although they also fit the time period in question. It must be acknowledged that the Karlštejn chapel murals are key elements in understanding this style and era, due to their quality and influential nature. This essay sought to isolate and explore any specific typology in this class of artwork. However, it must be stated that no such unique common character exists. The murals are more a reflection of the requirements and tastes of the individual patrons; they also express the fashion of their particular eras. There are also discrepancies in quality, which vary from century to century. In the 14th century, the quality of the investigated murals cannot be compared to that of paintings in the court of the King. However, by the late 15th and 16th centuries, the quality of murals...
Multifunctional Building Brno
Čechová, Lucie ; Drobníček, Ladislav (referee) ; Menšíková, Naděžda (advisor) ; Šuhajda, Karel (advisor)
The object of this bachelor thesis is new building solution of a multifunctional house founded on the corner of the streets Táborská and Letní in the district Židenice of city Brno. The design is based on using a vacant lot, urban regulations, the needs for creation of student housing and the needs of residents of the particular district. The form of the object is designed in a way which abides the mass structure of the territory and also the spatial plan of city of Brno. The main aim was to use the vacant lot in the best way possible. The suggested object is divided in two functional units which this particular locality lacked and are based on structural possibilities. The public unit situated on the outer part of the object has the form of fully glazed facade, whereas the part intended for housing can be identified for the use of company Intecon galvanized copper plated trapezodial steel sheet residential containers. The area of the first floor parterre is lowered by one meter below the ground level because of a sports center with a bouldering wall. Other overground storeys consisting of residential containers operate as a place for sudent housing. Individual apartments are formed by the combination of two student rooms. The kitchen and dining room are located in the common areas on each floor of the building. The idea of materially spatial resolution is based on rotation of the cuboid residential containers by ninety degrees which allows them to fit together in a way that creates an atrium in the middle. The atrium and the sports areas are therefore lit by the accomodation areas.

The impact of subsidy from EU on companies competitiveness
Čechová, Lucie ; Pavel, Jan (advisor) ; Vítek, Leoš (referee)
This master thesis is focus on the European Structural Funds. The main objective is to analyze the impact of European subsidies on competitiveness of the industrial companies in the Czech Republic. For this purpose I compare the performance of companies that have received public subsidies to that of similar companies that have not received it. Measuring of the competitiveness in this paper is based on financial indicators. The subsidy effect is evaluated for the Operational program Industry and Enterprise which provided a support for Czech manufacturing companies from 2004 to 2006. The theoretical part starts with the basic parameter of Structural Funds and there are also mentioned resultes of related studies for comparison. In the analytical part is analysed the impact of subsidy on companies by using t-test and regression analysis from the period of 2006 -- 2011. Information is obtained from CzechInvest and database Albertina Data. Final conclusions do not confirm the possitive effect of subsidy on companies competitiveness.
Synthesis and biological properties of polysubstituted 5-nitrosopyrimidines
Janeba, Zlatko ; Čechová, Lucie ; Žurek, Jiří ; Procházková, Eliška ; Dračínský, Martin
2,4,6-Triamino-5-nitrosopyrimidines have been reported to contain a strong intramolecular hydrogen bond between the 5-nitroso and 4- or 6-amino groups, thus forming an additional pseudoring. Such analogues were speculated to be good mimics of fused bicyclic derivatives, e.g. purines. A series of novel polysubstituted 2-amino-5-nitrosopyrimidines, as potential structural mimics of modifi ed purine nucleos(t)ides well-known for their important biological properties, has been designed and synthesized. The physicochemical and biological properties of the prepared polysubstituted 2-amino-5-nitrosopyrimidines are being evaluated.
Switchable intramolecular hydrogen bond in polysubstituted 5-nitrosopyrimidines
Procházková, Eliška ; Čechová, Lucie ; Žurek, Jiří ; Janeba, Zlatko ; Dračínský, Martin
The formation of strong intramolecular hydrogen bonds was observed in a series of 2-amino-5-nitrosopyrimidines with alkylamino and arylamino substituents in the positions 4 and 6. Mixtures of two rotamers differing in the orientation of the nitroso group were observed in the NMR spectra of the compounds where two distinct intramolecular hydrogen bonds could be formed. In several cases, we were able to isolate and characterize the two hydrogen bond isomers (two conformers) by column chromatography. The ratio of the two rotamers in equilibrium depends strongly on the character of the substituents in the positions 4 and 6 and can be finely tuned in a broad range of conformation ratios. The experimental results were supported by DFT calculations.
Efficiency of supervisory process ÚOHS and NKÚ in public procurement
Čechová, Lucie ; Pavel, Jan (advisor) ; Kučerová, Zuzana (referee)
This thesis deals with the situation in public procurement processes in the Czech republic. It mainly focus on supervisory process and it's efficiency. It defines general terms which are connected with this topic. It gives a brief characterictic of main supervisory bodies - Nejvyšší kontrolní úřad and Úřad pro ochranu hospodářské soutěže. Data, which were important for the analysis, were obtained through my personal research by using the law of providing information. This research was oriented on subjects, which according to supervisory bodies did not proceed the public procurement processes as they should and in case of ÚOHS on subjects which got a fine. The main purpose of the research was to find out if they took any steps to avoid this situation again in the future. The results were analyzed and compared with data which were published in Bachan (2009). Unfortunately there is not any improvement and the efficiency of the supervisory process is still bad.
The optimized microwave-assisted decomposition of formamides and its synthetic utility in the amination of purines and pyrimidines
Čechová, Lucie ; Jansa, Petr ; Šála, Michal ; Dračínský, Martin ; Holý, Antonín ; Janeba, Zlatko
The microwave-assisted decomposition of DMF was thoroughly studied and the reaction conditions (temperature, solvent effect, and effect of additives such as acids, bases, and salts) were optimized for its use in the amination reactions of various purines and pyrimidines.
Adolescents´ orientation of value
ČECHOVÁ, Lucie
The thesis has the character of theoretical-empirical, with particular emphasis on evaluating the orientation of youth growing up in the atmosphere of present-day secondary schools in the Czech Republic. The first part of the text focuses on defining the expressions of growing up, adolescence, social development, emotionality, identity, orientation of values and self-perception. And furthermore, different periods of adolescence are specified. Special attention is paid to social and psychological characteristics of adolescence. The last point in the theoretical part is the comparison of the determinant in the development of personality and its influence on the formation of values in adolescents who are growing up. In the practical part, the author uses the method of questionnaires and statistic methods for conclusive elaboration. The acquired information is used for the comparison of the values of first year and graduating students as in secondary schools, specialized secondary schools and technical schools. And furthermore, to determine whether the values of students could differ depending on the type of secondary school attended.
