The subject of this thesis is the connection of adjectives with the lemma "voda" in the Czech National Corpus. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and an analytical part. The theoretical part focuses on the definition and explanation of the basic concepts of lexicology, for example, lexeme, term, concept, multi-word lexeme, phrases, idioms, etc. In addition, the theoretical part is dedicated to collocability and collocation phrases. The analytical part includes search of adjectives connected with the noun "water" in the Czech National Corpus SYN2015, then its categorization, and an independent analysis. For clarity, I chose to categorize by frequency. It is necessary to explain the investigated collocations from the semantic side. It is also necessary to compare the obtained results with the results that appear in dictionaries of Czech language, specifically in Příruční slovníku jazyka českého (1957), Slovník spisovného jazyka českého (1989), Slovník české frazeologie a idiomatiky, výrazy neslovesné (2009), Slovník české frazeologie a idiomatiky, výrazy větné (2009) and Tezaurus jazyka českého, slovník českých slov a frází souznačných, blízkých a příbuzných (2007). Selected problems of presentation of the Czech declination for the Arabic speakers
Hassan, Mohamed ; Hrdlička, Milan (advisor) ; Starý Kořánová, Ilona (referee)
This Master's Thesis studies the question of the presentation of the declenation and grammatical cases in Czech targeting Arab native speakers. This represents the most difficult as well as the most important area in Czech grammar. This work mainly focuses on the similarities and differences in typology between Czech and Arabic. The aim is to analyse the methods used in Czech grammar books meant for Arab students and raise their strong points and at the same time find their imperfections to use them as a potential for further improvement of the teaching process. A questionnaire helps us find difficulties linked with learning declension paradigms and Czech grammatical cases in the process of teaching and learning Czech as a target language. The conclusion then offers a number of lingvodidactic recommendations for teachers and authors publishing teaching material for Arab students.

Ihnatsenia, Hanna ; Hoffmannová, Jana (advisor) ; Starý Kořánová, Ilona (referee)
This thesis deals with the complex characteristics of communication that occurred on the webpages of the discount servers during Fall 2011 - Spring 2012 capturing specific combination of both, professional and word-of-mouth, advertising styles. Advertising texts produced by the advertising agent could be described as informative and persuasive with entertaining elements of gameplay and humor. Informative function is being realized by means of professional style (e.g. using words of foreign origin) associated with seriousness and literary expression, and by means of preparing different forms of advertising texts and publicity on the Internet. Realization of persuasive function happens through informal and direct communication using salutations, imperatives, emoticons, slang and domesticized terminology of foreign origin, and through presence of Czech spoken speech in these texts. Dialogue between agents and customers occurs in corresponding internet forums that is certain mixture of correct and neutral opinion on one hand and manipulative, exaggerated, emotional and often ungrammatical expressions on the other hand. Moreover, the names of these discount servers are formed in terms of word formation (e.g. Slevomat, Slevopolis, Vykupto, Zapakatel, Nebeslev, Mydeals, etc.) describing their motivation....

První kapitola uvádí všeobecné důvody českého vystěhovalectví v druhé polovině 19. století, k nimž například patří důvody historické, kulturní a hospodářské. Distribution and Meaning of the -ák Suffix in Czech Corpora
Goroshko, Vladimir ; Adamovičová, Ana (advisor) ; Starý Kořánová, Ilona (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with theoretical exploration of characteristics pertaining to the Czech suffix -ák and determination of statistical correlations relating to its distribution in Czech language corpora. The problem is approached through a general description of word formation in the Czech language and theoretical attribution of the -ák suffix to semantical and morphological categories and derivation paradigms. Particulars of the -ák suffix, such as homonymy, productivity and expressivity, are being described. Practical research is aimed at comparison of data obtained from the SYN2010 written language corpus and the ORAL2013 spoken language corpus and assessment of their appropriateness for investigation of the modern language. The research has confirmed that corpus data to a large extent conform with theoretical distribution of the suffix, with a few minor exceptions described in the text, and that such distribution shows certain differences between the written and the spoken corpora. Particular attention to univerbisation is paid both in the theoretical and the practical parts. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
