Specifics of broadcast transmission for listeners in the age category 30-50 years

This dissertation deals with the radio broadcasting in the Czech Republic that is focused on a group of listeners aged 30-50 years. It especially covers the public and private radio stations with statewide coverage. It also surveys what kind of formats of stations and broadcast programs dominate at target listeners and what the target listeners themselves expect from the broadcasting. The work is divided into the chapters and subchapters. The first chapter is concentrated on the development of the public and private radio broadcasting after the year 1989. It describes the demonopolization of Československý rozhlas and formation of competition of private stations, the ending of Československý rozhlas and origin of Český rozhlas, which serve as a statutory organization. The second chapter is aimed at the beginning or private broadcast stations with statewide significance. The third chapter focuses on both formats of radio stations and the formats of programs which are recently used in the radio broadcasting. This BA thesis is concerned with the analysis of Any Questions?, a BBC Radio 4 programme. Its goal is to describe the dialogue genres that are used in this radio broadcasted public debate, and also to describe the way in which these genres fulfil their communicative function. The theoretical part of this thesis describes the above-mentioned genres as they are regarded in the context of Czech journalism. (Although the literature used for references is in both Czech and English, the terminology is always adjusted to suit the Czech journalistic environment.) This part also describes BBC as a public service medium, since the environment in which the programme is produced significantly influences its contents. Finally, this part describes the production of the programme as such: it deals with the selection of guests and locations of the programme, and also with the role of the presenter of the discussion and with the extent to which the programme is successful regarding the communication with the audience. (This part is, among others, based on the electronic correspondence with one of the producers of the programme). Moderation of news sessions on ČT 24

This work deals with moderation of news programmes on ČT24 in years 2005 - 2010. First we try to sum up history of news broadcast on Czech television and also to tell something about beginning of continual broadcasting in 2005. This type of broadcasting came with new elements to news broadcast and it also significantly affected the work of anchormans. In next part we define the role of anchorman in news broadcasting. Differences between anchorman and quite simmilar jobs as host, reporter or commentator are shown. In the work the means of moderator's communication are defined - verbal and especially nonverbal. Analysis of using this means is content of practical part of work. . We use iVysílání of Czech television for practical research, specifically period 24.5.2010 - 28.5.2010. Forenoon part of broadcasting is analyzed. There is news broadcast every thirty minutes. Items of news are short, catchy and very often we can see changing of news genres - report, interview, read peace of news. This mixing of genres is typical for continual broadcast. We check in analyse if anchormans use nonverbal communication in continual broadcast.
Marketing communications of the radio station Europe 2 in 2011

The thesis titled "Marketing Communication of radio station Europe 2 in 2011" deals with the radio Europe 2 as a product on the radio market and also deals with communication activities, which were presented by Europe 2 in 2011. The aim of this dissertation is to give a comprehensive picture of these activities and the position of the radio on the market. The thesis is divided into three main chapters; the first chapter is devoted to the theoretical part, where the background of the station is described, its history and characteristics, including program structure, audience and target groups of Europe 2, as well as SWOT analysis, which objectively and subjectively identifies strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the radio. This is followed by an analysis of marketing communication itself, a description of each communication channel and introduction to the most important performance figures, which are crucial to the image of the radio. Part of this work is also an analysis of various television commercials and visuals that were shown during last year's largest campaigns. In the practical part of the thesis there is also provided an assessment of marketing communication as a whole, which outlines possible improvements in the radio promotion.
Ethics problems of civic journalism (definition, case studies)

The goal of the thesis is to map the citizen journalism of blogs on Czech Internet. It deals with following the codified rules for bloggers of online media Respekt.cz, Aktuálně.cz Idnes.cz, Lidovky.cz and Ihned.cz. It describes the points that are violated most frequently. It presents sample case studies of breaking the ethical codex by the author and analyses it. The definition of the ethical framework and of the citizen journalism with the development of new media and their transformation are crucial for the thesis. New media are put in the historical context, new platforms of the civil journalism used in the Czech Republic are introduced and the potential risks are pointed out. The key part of the thesis compares the codes of conduct mentioned above media. Based on interviews with the administrators, it provides the conception and the characteristics of the researched blogs. The codices are compared with the requirements for professional journalists.

Diploma thesis "Ethical aspects of reporting in case of child abuse scandal in the Roman Catholic Church" tries to analyze reporting about scandal of pedophilic priests with attention at ethical rules in reporting and attend to ethical mistakes, if they are in. Purpose of this thesis is to compare, how presses MF Dnes, Hospodářské noviny, Blesk and Katolický týdeník inform people. A quantitative and qualitative content analysis was chosen as a method of this work.
NEWS SERVICE OF TV NOVA COMPARED TO THE CZECH TV CODE, WITH SPECIAL SIGHT TO VIOLENCE, BRUTAL SHOTS AND VICTIMS

The main objectives of this bachelor's thesis are ethical aspects of the main evening news on Nova TV, Televizní noviny. Previously the bachelor's thesis summarizes the key facts from history and evolution in branch of Media ethics and selfregulation. There is a brief overview of the period when the media was under the influence of the state and church, then a brief history of Media ethics evolution in The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Germany and Slovakia. The main part of the bachelor's thesis discusses history of media ethics in the Czech Republic after the Velvet Revolution in 1989. An extensive chapter is devoted to the creation, development and current form of the Czech TV Code. On the border between the theoretical and practical part of thesis the are chapters about differences betweeen Televizní noviny and Události and comparison of these two type of news. In the last part of the bachelor's thesis the ethically controversial aspects are examined and compared to the Czech TV Code and in case of misconduct there are descriptions of the most frequently indiscretions.
The original radio show Pinwheel and its effect as compared with the current music programs

The contemporary music opinion journalism appears most commonly in newspapres and magazines these days. As well as in the past it is not the only form of the opinion journalism focused on music. We can meet the one even on the Internet or on the air. I was interested in the move of the music opinion journalism since the Czech very important music opinion show called Větrník existed. This theses contains a circumscriptions of radio music journalism, journalism music show and an anchorman of such a show. The next part of the theses contains a history of this sort of a radio show since today. Nowadays those shows suffer from a little interest of the listeners at all. The theses makes clear the importace one of the show broadcasted in the past, Větrník. The detailed description then shows the contemporary situation of the opinion music journalim shows. The very last part contains results of an questionaire that was filled by people between 18-26 years old.
