Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je analýza hlavní večerní zpravodajské relace TV Nova a posouzení toho, zda příspěvky v ní obsažené obstojí v konfrontaci s Kodexem České televize. Ještě předtím ale pojednává o vývoji mediální etiky a samoregulace obecně, vysvětluje pojem mediální etika, stručně informuje o období, kdy byla média omezována ze strany státu a církve. Další část poté pojednává o vývoji samoregulace ve vybraných státech - ve Spojeném království Velké Británie a Severního Irska, Německu a Slovensku. Další část je potom už zaměřena na vývoj samoregulace žurnalistiky v České republice po roce 1989, včetně vzniku a fungování Syndikátu novinářů, Etického kodexu, vývoje samoregulačních principů u vybraných soukromých médií. Obsáhlá kapitola je také věnována vzniku, vývoji a aktuální podobě Kodexu ČT. Pomyslným přechodem mezi teoretickou a praktickou částí jsou kapitoly týkající se specifik televizního zpravodajství a následně konkrétně zpravodajství TV Nova a komparace mezi zpravodajstvím TV Nova a zpravodajstvím České televize. Závěrečná část práce pak zkoumá eticky sporné momenty z minulosti, hodnotí zpravodajství TV Nova z hlediska etických standardů nastavených Kodexem ČT a v případě pochybení se věnuje popisu jednotlivých případů a určení nejfrekventovanější prohřešků. The main objectives of this bachelor's thesis are ethical aspects of the main evening news on Nova TV, Televizní noviny. Previously the bachelor's thesis summarizes the key facts from history and evolution in branch of Media ethics and selfregulation. There is a brief overview of the period when the media was under the influence of the state and church, then a brief history of Media ethics evolution in The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Germany and Slovakia. The main part of the bachelor's thesis discusses history of media ethics in the Czech Republic after the Velvet Revolution in 1989. An extensive chapter is devoted to the creation, development and current form of the Czech TV Code. On the border between the theoretical and practical part of thesis the are chapters about differences betweeen Televizní noviny and Události and comparison of these two type of news. In the last part of the bachelor's thesis the ethically controversial aspects are examined and compared to the Czech TV Code and in case of misconduct there are descriptions of the most frequently indiscretions.
