Title: Evaluation of the physiotherapy effectiveness in women handball players with an anterior instability of the glenohumeral joint. Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to summarize the anterior instability of the glenohumeral joint knowledge in women handball players. Subsequently to perform and evaluate the effect of the three months long physiotherapy intervention based on proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation by which we wanted to eliminite the anterior instability of the glenohumeral joint. In the last part of the research are compared the results which were reached by the group which did the three months intervention program and the control group without any physiotherapeutical intervention. Methods: The experiment was performed in handball team HC Slavia Praha by women players range in age from 15 -19 years. It was carried out using 3 tests evaluating the instability of the anterior glenohumeral joint, which were evaluated by 2 different physiotherapists and 3 motor tests evaluating the explosive force of the upper limb. Testing was performed twice, before and after the three months long physiotherapeutical intervention. Results: After the three months intervention, there was a significant improvement of the results in the group which underwent the physiotherapy intervention....
The evaluation of gross motor function and coordination in primary school children
Kuběnová, Jana ; Satrapová, Lenka (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Title: The evaluation of gross motor function and coordination in primary school children Defining the issue: The physical activity and sport are highly discussed topics in current time. The physical activity itself has a positive effect on our body in many ways, on the contrary the lack of it has a negative effect. In the younger school age there should be a diversity of physical activity and it should often vary. If, in this period of age, the physical activity would be in the form of specialized sport training with dominant asymetric load without any compensating activity, the effect of that training would be probably negative and even harming for the growing body of young children, who are not prepared for that type of burden. To ensure an adequate development of specific skills and gaits the appropriate level of gross motor function and coordination is required. The evaluation of such movement features after reaching bipedal locometion is mediocre at best and the current test batteries are limited in application. For these reasons the goal was to create new battery of tests and use it to evaluate the gross motor function and coordination in primary school children and assessment of the impact of gender and extracurricular activity on the results. The purpose of the study: The purpose of this...
The process of reconciliation in Polish-German relations after 1945. Case study: the relations between FRG and Poland during the rule of the first Law and Justice party (2005-2007)
Nováková, Tereza ; Kunštát, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kochnowski, Roman (referee)
The thesis deals with the process of reconciliation in Polish-German relations after 1945. Lily Gardner Feldman's invented a concept which defines the prerequisites for the reconciliation process. In her concept she defines four essential pillars of the reconciliation process - history, leadership, institutions and international context. Although Polish-German relations have undergone a long development and both sides have built up a stable and firm mutual relationship, it is possible to see changes within the four categories mentioned. The aim of this thesis is to outline the process of reconciliation in Polish-German relations after 1945 and capture the qualitative changes in mutual relations during the first rule of the Law and Justice party between 2005 and 2007, which represented a critical point in Polish-German relations and a change in the Polish foreign policy towards Germany since 1989. In the first part the thesis discusses the development of the Polish-German relations until the end of the 1990s, and in the second part of the thesis, the concept is applied to the Law and Justice party government's "critical" period (2005-2007), focusing on the four categories mentioned and on the most discussed topics. In the final part of the thesis there follows an evaluation of the validity of the used...
Evaluation of postural maturity of the preschool children
Beránková, Dana ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Hojková, Klára (referee)
Author: Dana Berankova Title: Evaluation of postural maturity of the preschool children Definition of the problem: Knowledge of postural maturity of five-years-old children is very important to the early detection of disorders of motor development and initiation of therapy. The preschool children start with sport like football, tennis or gymnastic which can constitute an unilateral burden. This kind of burden, which is inadequate for the children, can cause an emergence of functional and structural lesions of motoric system. Rehabilitation of the incorrect posture is important prerequisite for the children were ready to go to school or for the initiation of sports activities. It is necessary to identify the preschool children's postural maturity. If an underdeveloped postural stabilization is dected by children parents of these children will be noticed ftbout the threat which is conected with sports activities. The thesis deals with an application of simple motor skills tests, assessment and evaluation in children aged 5 - 6 years. The aim of the project: This study aims an evaluation of the postural maturity of children in pre-school age by means of selected clinical tests. Another aim is an evaluation a reciprocal influence of children's postural maturity and performance in sports activities. Method of...
Relation between occurrence of specific language impairment and motor skills in children
Sárazová, Daniela ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Reckziegelová, Petra (referee)
Title: Relation between occurrence of specific language impairment and motor skills in children Objectives: The aim of this thesis is detection of prevalence of risk factors for specific language impairment in children in the Czech Republic and evaluation of another possible difficulties these children may have, especially those which could be detected or influenced by physiotherapist. The emphasis was given on pre- and perinatal complications, early motor development complications and motor impairment. Methods: The anonymous questionnaires were used for the data collection. They were distributed to the speech therapists' offices in Prague and Jesenice by Prague and filled by parents of children with specific language impairment when they visited the office. Overall 145 questionnaires were included in the research. Results: Hypothesis n. 1 was confirmed - higher prevalence of complications during pregnancy than prevalence of assisted reproduction was found (considering the prenatal complications) and higher prevalence of complications during birth than prevalence of preterm birth or low birth weight was found (considering the perinatal complications) in children with specific language impairment in the Czech Republic. Hypothesis n. 2 was also confirmed - the prevalence of early motor development...
The evaluation of functional sitting stability of paraplegics
Melicharová, Hana ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Vláčilová, Ivana (referee)
Title: The evaluation of functional sitting stability of paraplegics Objectives: The aim of this work is to evaluate the functional stability of paraplegics sitting through tests. Another objective is to determine what is the effect of fourteen days rehabilitation intervention on the sitting patients. Methods: Designed experiment was processed by the form of quantitative research. There were 10 pacients with spinal cord injuries, especially paraplegics included - 5 men and 5 women. The history was detected with the main emphasis on assessment ASIA score. Measurement of unsupported upright sitting was done thanks to the Plantograf V09. It records the current pressure distribution and movement of the center of pressure (COP). Functional T - shirt test was evaluated by using a stopwatch. Probands responded two questions about their current condition after rehabilitation after the output measuring. The therapist rating was included in the results. All data were further processed in Microsoft Office Excel 2007. Results: Measurements confirmed the reliability of both used tests. The t-shirt test can be used as an objective method of assessing functional stability of sitting. Test of unsupported upright sitting measured by Plantografu is also usable. It would be appropriate to set the measuring apparatus...
Assessment of the effect of CDP training in patient after lower extremity amputation
Čermáková, Kamila ; Vomáčková, Helena (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Title: Assessment of the effect of CDP training in patient after lower extremity amputation Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the influence of the individually set training programme on the computerized dynamic posturography (CDP) NeuroCom Smart EquiTest System (further referred to as EquiTest) independent of traditional therapeutic exercises in the patient after unilateral transfemoral amputation of the lower limb and to monitor the effect of this training on postural behaviour, ability of functional mobility and balance, frequency of falls and balance confidence in an individual after amputation. Methods: This is an experimental pilot case study that monitors the effect of an individually designed five-week training programme (with a frequency of exercises 2 times a week) on the EquiTest in one patient after unilateral transfemoral amputation of the lower limb. Examination of postural functions was performed by the EquiTest using SOT, MCT, and LOS tests. The ability of functional mobility and balance was tested using the functional Timed up and go test (TUG). The frequency of falls was detected from the proband's medical history. The balance confidence was determined using the Activities specific balance confidence scale (ABC). All measurements were made in two terms, i.e....
Influence of Taping and External Support of the Ventral Side of the Trunk in Patients with the Diastasis of mm.Rectus Abdominis on General Posture
Korandová, Marie ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Palaščáková Špringrová, Ingrid (referee)
Název: Vliv tapingu a vnější podpory ventrální části trupu u pacientek s diastázou mm. recti abdominis na postavení trupu Název v anglickém jazyce: Influence of taping and extemal supports ventral side of the trunk at patients with the diastasis mm. rectus abdominis on general posture Vymezení problému: Lékaři s dlouholetou pediatrickou a rehabilitační praxí zjišťují, že rozestup přímých břišních svalů v linea alba není zcela ojedinělým jevem. Diastázou oslabená přední stěna břišní se stává u postižených příčinou zprvu dysbalance svalové a posléze i lumbální vertebropatie, zvláště v důsledku dalších přitěžujících faktorů, jako např. akrobacie, těžké fyzické práce nebo těhotenství. Podchycení diastázy v útlém dětství, její cílená léčba vitaminem D a léčebný tělocvik, či vnější podpora břicha by mohly přispět nejen k zamezení břišní protruze, nýbrž i ke snížení incidence invalidizujících lumbálních vertebropatií v dospělosti.
