Didek, Zdeněk ; Michalička, Vladimír (advisor) ; Fiala, Miloš (referee)
Title: Specifics of laser and real firing from a small arms. Goal: The aim of this study to gather information about real and laser shooting from small arms in connection with human physiology and biomechanics. The main benefit of a systematic grasp of the issue as an understanding of comprehensive information. To compare their differences, or to eventually laser-shooting as an instrument for testing soldiers in the Army of the Czech Republic. Methods: Literature search, which deals with the issue of shooting. For the elaboration of this work, the search for study sources was used, followed by their analysis and subsequent search of these obtained study sources. Results: The result of this work is a comprehensive understanding of shooting from real and laser weapons in terms of biomechanics and human physiology and its impact on shooting performance. When comparing real and laser shooting, no significant penetration into the issue was found due to the insufficient number of sources and information about laser shooting. For this reason, a greater representation of the laser weapon cannot be justified in this work at the expense of the real weapon in the Army of the Czech Republic system, even though the use of laser weapons in training is a cheaper financial issue in the long run. Key words: Army,...

Rausa, Ondřej ; Michalička, Vladimír (advisor) ; Oláh, Vladan (referee)
Title: Determination of leg tuck performance standards for the needs of the Army of the Czech Republic Goal: The aim of this study is to determinate performance standards for the leg tuck exercise, which is part of the proposal for a new physical examination. Method: Standardized testing was used to determine the performance standards. Subject of 702 soldiers from 3 different units was tested. The 3 units were 44.lmopr Jindřichův Hradec, 25.plrp Strakonice and 14. plogp Pardubice. Soldiers were tested regardless of their age or gender. The aim for every soldier was to perform as much possible repetitions of leg tuck as possible. All this in accordance with predetermined rules. One of the main focuses was to abide the rules of standardized testing, which mostly means to meet the conditions of validity and reliability. The testing took place from January to April 2021. Subsequently, the results were analyzed, and performance standards were set. The results did not meet the normal distribution of data, so the setting of standards using the appropriate statistical methods had to be abandoned. Because of that, panel of experts was created, who set performance standards based on the results provided by the researcher. Results: The result of this bachelor's thesis is the determination of performance...

Telvák, Radek ; Michalička, Vladimír (advisor) ; Baláš, Jiří (referee)
Title: Analysis of static strength of friction knots used in military climbing. Objectives: Strength determination of selected knots on static ropes under static load. Methods: This bachelor thesis shows a laboratory experiment, where the influence of friction knots on the strength of the Reep cord tied to a static rope under static load was determined. For the purposes, a 6mm Reep cord and 10.5mm rope and friction knots used in military climbing techniques were selected. The experiment was run on a vertical test rig. Each of the selected knots was tested 10 times. Every knot was compared among the others in the first slip, slip length, maximum strength, nominal strength drop and the point of failure. Results: The highest average values of the first slip and the maximum strength were achieved by the Twist prusik. The lowest value of the slip length was measured at the Blake friction knot. Compared to other of the selected knots, the lowest decrease in nominal strength by 14 % was found on the Blake knot, while the highest decrease in nominal strength is found in the Twist prusik. The Reep Cord failed in 81 % of all attempts. Keywords: military climbing, friction knot, knot strength, slip, point of failure, nominal strength

Title: Effect of cognitive fatigue on present physical human performance. Goal: The goal of this thesis is to investigate the effect size of previous cognitive load on shooting accuracy and subsequent aerobic performance in observed group of army members. Method: An intervention randomized single blind crossover study was conducted on 17 males The measurements were conducted between November and December 2018 and in March 2019. After initial phase, each volunteer underwent two phases of the experiment in a random order. Psychological and physiological parameters were recorded, especially using standardized questionnaires, performance outcomes (heart rate, time to exhaustion during walking phase, shooting accuracy) and salivary cortisol levels. Results: Induced cognitive fatigue effects the psychophysiological state of human organism and its performance. Pearsons correlation values did not show linkage amongst psychic resistance, motivation to performance and cognitively demanding activity. Results showed the statistical significance of induced cognitive fatigue effect on shooting accuracy (p = 0,003). Also, a shift in the present mood was demonstrated in dimensions Fatigue p = 0,002 and Vitality p = 0,048 respectively. The shifts were caused by the previous aerobic load. The effect of induced...
Comparison of human physiological response in different one-rope ascending techiques
Doležal, Jan ; Michalička, Vladimír (advisor) ; Baláš, Jiří (referee)
Title: Comparison of the physiological response rate of the organism using different one-rope ascent techniques Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare the rate of the physiological response of the organism using 3 different one-rope ascent techniques during constant speed. Methods: It was an empirically based study of experimental character (quasi-experiment). The measured research group (n = 12) consisted of the military students (21 ± 1.1 years; 183 ± 4.9 cm; 80.6 ± 7.8 kg) of full-time study at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University (VO FTVS UK). The physiological response rate was measured with the Cortex Metamax 3b and Polar sporttester during one-rope ascending techniques ("using Prusik knot" = P", "using jümar = B", "using Garda knot = G") at a constant speed of 3 m·min-1 for 7 minutes. The rating of the perceived exertion was also recorded on the Borg RPE scale. The data were comparatively analyzed in the SPSS statistic program, furthermore the analysis of variance (ANOVA) was also employed. Results: The study demonstrated statistical differences (p ≤ 0.05) between techniques: while B is the easiest, the greatest differences were observed between technique B, P and G. The G technigue appeared to be the most difficult. The average HR was: 162 ± 9 bpm...

Title Use of Dietary Supplements at the Czech Airborne Force. Objective The objective of my work was to examine the use of supplements in the Czech Airborne Battalions through the use of questionnaire method and analysis of professional literature. Professional soldiers, especially in airborne battalions, are expected to have a high level of psychological as well as physical readiness. Building on professional literature, articles, internet resources, and information from leading nutrition and supplementation experts I sought to compile a work that would provide basic information on the use of supplementation. Plan of processing At the very beginning, it was necessary to have a comprehensive idea of the implementation of the questionnaire method in the Czech Airborne Forces. A review of available materials was followed by a summary of the basic nutrients and supplements that are, in our opinion, the most used in paratroopers. As a next step a questionnaire was created. Then, we handed out and collected questionnaires at individual crews. This was followed by the questionnaire evaluation, charting, and finishing the bachelor's thesis. Results Supplementation is very popular with the Czech Army paratroopers. A total of 86.7 % of respondents use dietary supplements. The results show, that the main...

Štefanský, Michal ; Michalička, Vladimír (advisor) ; Kubový, Petr (referee)
Title: Refine the prediction process for the software Combatfit Aim: Find more accurate method to predict for the need of software Combatfit. Compare software prediction with field measurements and suitable alternative for predicting. The methods used: The thesis is empiric - teoretic research and it is consist of two parts. 1) Teoretic part - analytic work 2) Empiric part - metodologic study Results: The nomogram was chosen as a suitable way of prediction. The research was realized at 3 km, 8 km and 10 km on track in the field. The measured times were used to compare the predicted time by software Combatfit with time prediction according to the nomogram. It was found that the nomogram predictions outperforms software Combatfit. Furthermore it was determined tightness of the relationship between predicted and measured time in either process. The tightness of the relationship with the nomogram was very high up to absolute. The tightness of the relationship with the software Comatfit was moderate. This statement applies to test files that was used. It is not entirely clear whether this would achieve the same conclusions for other performance groups. Key words: Software Combatfit, prediction of performance, movement, external conditions, nomograme.
