Windows process behavior checking
Matoušek, David ; Yaghob, Jakub (advisor) ; Jákl, Vojtěch (referee)
The thesis summarizes selected methods of process behavior monitoring on Windows operating systems. The thesis is focused especially on using virtualization as a support tool for process behavior checking. The main goal of the thesis was evaluation of process behavior checking methods and designing a virtualization based monitoring system. The designed system is based on VirtualBox virtualization software by Sun Microsystems and operating system Windows XP Service Pack 3. The execution of the virtualized Windows system is modified so that in precisely defined states the monitoring system creates elementary events based on the current state of the system memory. These events can then be analyzed in order to simulate the operating system objects and their interactions. The interactions between the monitored processes and other objects in the system then determine the behavior of these processes.
Taming Russian oligarchs:the case of Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Yukos
Matoušek, David ; Šír, Jan (advisor) ; Svoboda, Karel (referee)
The Russian oil industry has long been one of the most important and valuable oil markets in the world. During the Soviet era, the oil industry was subject to strict state control, but the privatization of industry in the 1990s after the collapse of the Soviet Union led the industrial companies to be handed over to several businessmen who later became Russian oligarchs. In my work I examine the rise and fall of the most prominent member of the early group of oligarchs - Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
Overview of physiotherapeutic approaches in influencing fascia
Matoušek, David ; Hálková, Jindřiška (advisor) ; Konopáčová, Eva (referee)
bakalářské práce v AJ Author: David Matoušek Tutor: Mgr. Jindřiška Hálková Title: Overview of physiotherapeutic approaches in influencing fascia Abstract: In the theoretical part of the thesis is first described the fascia including: definition, embryology, histology, pathology and its connection with the management of postural stability. Physiotherapeutic approaches used to influence fascias are presented and briefly described. The practical part of the thesis deals with the influence of postural stability in three patients with central hemiparesis after the therapeutic influence of the fascial system by the Fascial Manipulation® method. For objective evaluation of the effect of therapy on postural stability, I used the Physiosensing platform from ©Sensing Future Technologies. As an additional monitored parameter, I chose the active range of motion (hereinafter referred to as aROM). Out of three patients, two experienced short-term improvements in the postural stability and aROM parameters while the third experienced long-term improvements. Keywords: fascia, physical therapy, fascial manipulation, postural stability, central hemiparesis
The Project of a Small Water Reservoir in the Níhov Cadastral Area
Matoušek, David ; Doležal, Petr (referee) ; Menšík, Pavel (advisor)
Diploma thesis ‚The project of a small water reservoir in the Níhov cadastral area’ has goal to introduce to reader the small water reservoir as the important landscape element. Small water reservoir is cornerstone of local ecological stability, which has important income for microclima in the closes surrounding. Furthermore, the function of constant improvement water quality in the basis or contribute to increasing of ground water level. Thesis is divided into two parts. In the first theoretical part thesis describes the topic of small water reservoirs briefly. The first part shortly describes the details of designing process or inner process within the reservoir. In the second practical part is created basic project documentation based on the data collected and measured in the affected area. The project was created in cooperation and upon request of investor the representation of the village Níhov.
Process optimalization ayout of the printing center using lean production methods in the company IMI International Ltd
Matoušek, David ; Bláha, Lukáš (referee) ; Strejček, Jan (advisor)
This Master's thesis deals with the design of a new workplace and the optimization of the process of printing production documentation for given production sections at IMI International Ltd. The solution to the problem begins with an analysis of the process that pointed to certain types of waste. Then, the process was optimized and a more efficient workplace with ergonomic features was designed. In the last part of the thesis the proposal is technically and economically evaluated.
Revitalization of a Small Water Reservoir in the Níhov Cadastral Area
Matoušek, David ; Doležal, Petr (referee) ; Menšík, Pavel (advisor)
Thesis has main goal to introduce the topic of small water reservoirs as an important regional element, which has added value to creation and sustaining of ecological stability, improvement local microclimate, the quality of water in catchment area and groundwater supply. Thesis is divided into two parts. In the first theoretical part thesis describes the topic of small water reservoirs and the key factors affecting their environmental state and their self-cleaning abilities. In the second practical part are created conceptual design of revitalization to solve the unsuitable state of water reservoir in Níhov.
Proposal to Implement Agile Methodology for Project Management
Rajčan, Miroslav ; Matoušek, David (referee) ; Juřica, Pavel (advisor)
In my thesis, I will focus on the processing and comparison of the waterfall and agile project management methods. I will describe the actual project management, what methods can be used, and what advantages or disadvantages can be found in the agile and waterfall approach. I will talk about the team members starting from the leadership roles over the scrum master to ordinary team members. The result of my work will be the answer to the question of whether the company surveyed by me is suitable for the agile project management approach.
Quality Management Tools
Matoušek, David ; Řezníčková, Hana (referee) ; Fiala, Alois (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the course of managerial planning and quality improvement. The thesis starts with a description of basic concepts related to the subject and their expansion.Continues with the quality planning phase, where I describe two quality planning methods. On this part follows chapter of quality improvement. Here I divided the subject and described it. In the penultimate chapter, I focused on the two most important methods used in planning and improving quality. The last chapter focuses on human factor in quality planning and improvement and its impact on the effectiveness of the described methods. In the end, I summed up my findings and evaluated them.

A tool for checking systems calls on Windows
Matoušek, David ; Ježek, Pavel (referee) ; Yaghob, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis identifies issues of process monitoring on Windows NT operating systems family and describes our implementation of an infrastructure for process monitoring. The system comprises of a core component and user defined external modules. The kernel component hooks system functions and redirects calls to the external modules running in the user space. The core component dispatches the calls to user supplied external modules that take care of the call processing. The core component defines simple API for the external modules that does not require deep knowledge of kernel programming. Moreover, this architecture simplifies versioning of the external modules. It makes them independent of a particular kernel build as long as the Windows kernel API they are monitoring is preserved. The thesis also compares our work with similar existing software and outlines future directions of development. Source codes and an executable compilation of the software are available on the attached CD. The software uses a part of GNU C Library.
