Nutritional value of breakfast of older school-age children

Subject: Nutritional value ofbreakfast ofolder school-age children Background: The aim ofthis study is to summarize child-age obesity issue, nutrition customs and physical activities ofchildren. Author deYeloped, on the base ofspecialized publications and published works, own questionnaire. This questionnaire was applied to a group ofchildren to observe nutritional value ofbreakfast and social factors ofobesity development in older school-age children. Methods: A group of grade school children ofage 13 to 15 was assessed. In total 300 questionnaires were handed out, 229 were returned and suitable for further processing. Results: Most grade school children do eat breakfast regularly. However, in most cases composition oftheir breakfast is quite inappropriate. A large group of 13-15 year old children dislike their figure and desire to lose weight despite age-appropriate proportions. Social environmental factors did not prove to be significant in overweight and obesity development. Key words: obesity, nutrition, breakfast, physical activity, children.
Regeneration of road cyclists

Nam.e ofthe work: Regeneration ofroad cyclists Obj-ectives of the work: to carry out an examination of the state of regeneration in road cyclists' teams in the Czech Republic on the basis of theoretical knowledge and empirical evidence of the author, and after its evaluation further suggestions for improvement of the regeneration process procedure would be offered. Method: The research was carried out using methods of analysis of training documentation (cyclists' training log books), interviews (to state ways of spending free time and also to state subjective feelings of competitors toward regeneration), questionnaires and observation. Evaluation of the collected data was done by percent occurrence ofindividua! variables. Results: The research revealed grave defects in the process ofregeneration of road cyclists - in fact in all aspects of regeneration. With reference to this finding the author suggests certain steps to optimise the process ofroad cyclists' regeneration. Prevention of syndrom diabetic foot

Title of the project: Prevention of syndrom diabetic foot Purpose of the project: Aplication ofthree excercising methods which can influence risk factors of syndrom diabetic foot and to compare effectiveness each method. Used methods: This project was based on experiment and comparison. Experiment was based on composition of three motional programs, which can improve vascularization and nerve suplly in lower limbs and aplication these methods on group of patients. Group of patiens consists of 20 diabetics, age between 60 - 80 years, men and women, who had diagnosis of disease diabetes mellitus for more than 5 years. Methods were aplied in consecutive way: conditional training, method of sensomotorical stimulation and excercising in the water bath. Each method was aplied for two weeks with two weeks break. Than was compared effetiveness each method. Results: Aplication of methods confirmed that motional program, which improves vascularization and nerve supply, can improve risk factors of syndrom diabetic foot. Before start the experiment respondents evaluated all symptoms and draw them in the schneme body form. They assesed intensity of these symptoms at the scale O- 4 point.
