This diploma thesis deals with analysis of small water reservoirs and their water management. The work is divided into two parts. The first part contains research and the second one is dedicated to the project of small water reservoir. The research describes the basic division of small water reservoir and their construction and technical equipage. The knowledge that has been found is applied in the project. The project describes the renovation of small water reservoir Kančí obora and pool, in k.ú Nové Bránice and Moravský Krumlov.
Packing rectangles
Pavlík, Tomáš ; Šámal, Robert (advisor) ; Mareš, Martin (referee)
This thesis studies the open problem of packing rectangles. Is it possible to pack rectangles with dimensions 1/n x 1/(n+1) into a unit square? The aim of this thesis is analysis of the problem and the related algorithm. Attention will be focused mainly on the implementation of this algorithm and on study of its functioning. Anti-corruption activism of the commercial sector from the point of view of political opportunity structure theory
Pavlík, Tomáš ; Frič, Pavol (advisor) ; Cejp, Martin (referee)
The diploma thesis "Anti-corruption activism of the commercial sector from the point of view of political opportunity structure theory" Abstract The diploma thesis "Anti-corruption activism of the commercial sector from the point of view of political opportunity structure theory" was devoted to the structure of political opportunities in 1998 to 2012 in relation to manifestations of corruption in the Czech Republic and the role of the commercial sector in terms of anti-corruption involvement. This thesis aimed to find out what is the structure of the opportunities, that participants of the commercial sector can be use in order to influence anti-corruption public politics. Two periods were found from the period of time which the thesis focuses on, during which more fundamental manifestations of the commercial sector occurred. The first period was linked to accession of the Czech Republic to the EU, when presentation of the commercial sector most frequently took place via special-interest associations and tools of Commercial ethics and the concept of CSR supported by activities of the European Union. Years of accession talks showed themselves to be an opportunity, above all for international companies operating in the Czech Republic with a dominance of use of political and institutional opportunities. Application of group theory in solving puzzles
Pavlík, Tomáš ; Opršal, Jakub (advisor) ; Tůma, Jiří (referee)
This thesis studies the theory of combinatorical puzzles and its connection to the group theory. The aim of this work is to introduce the concept of puzzle to mathematics and to use group theory to solve it, special attention will be focused on solvable groups. Everything is interspersed with a number of practical examples to better understand the topic.
Fish culture facility with a focus on warm water
Pavlík, Tomáš ; Princ, Michal (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the warm water fish culture facilities. It also divides them and represents the manner of the management. The work is divided into two parts. The first part contains research and the second one is dedicated to the project itself. The research describes the most frequent measures that serve to increase the production of thermophilic fishes. The knowledge that has been found is applied in the project. The project describes the extension of the pond management of MO MRS Pohořelice, Z. S., in k. ú. Cvrčovice u Pohořelic.
Fundamental Share Analysis(Pegas Nonwovens)
Pavlík, Tomáš ; Smolík, Kamil (referee) ; Sojka, Zdeněk (advisor)
The main topic of this bachelor thesis is a fundamental analysis of the shares of the company PEGAS NONWOVENS SA, made by using the publicly accessible information about the company. This thesis also includes theoretical description of the methods which are usable for the fundamental analysis. Then I’ll apply this theoretical knowledge in the practical part of the thesis in order to evaluate the price of shares.
Fundamental Analysis of Selected European Automobile Stock Companies for Creation of Investment Portfolio
Pavlík, Tomáš ; Smolík, Kamil (referee) ; Rejnuš, Oldřich (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is to create a fundamental analysis of selected European automobile manufacturing companies, which are enlisted in the stock market and are publically traded. Goal of this fundamental analysis is to propose an ideal portfolio which should outperform the average car industry market. All information which are used during this work are publically accessible on the websites of every mentioned company. First part of this work is devoted to the description of methods, which are used through the whole article. Second part is describing selected companies and the reasons of the selection itself. Third part is devoted to the comparison of selected companies. Forth part is describing methods used for verification of the results, methods used for this verification are calculation of the inner value of security and bankruptcy models. The recommendation for the ideal portfolio for the European car industry is created in the last part of this thesis.
Klastrování genů s podobným regulačním mechanismem během monocytární a garanulocytární diferenciace buněk HL-60
Koutná, I. ; Faltýsková, E. ; Krontorád, P. ; Svoboda, Z. ; Pavlík, T. ; Bártová, Eva ; Kozubek, Michal ; Kozubek, Stanislav
In the present study, a high density-microarrays of human cDNA containing 19,000 genetic elements were used to search for differences in gene expression of human promyelic leukaemia cell line HL-60 during monocyte (MD) and granulocyte differentiation (GD). For differentiation to monocytes (granulocytes), the TPA, 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-D-acetate (DMSO) were used, respectively. A total number of 4625 (4760) genes were found to be regulated during MD (GD). The genes have been divided into groups according to their kinetics of regulation (R-groups). The genes of the same group are not distributed randomly throughout the genome but form clusters on chromosomes (R-clusters). Thus, functionally interconnected genes are frequently localized near to each other on the DNA molecule.

We have compared colorectal carcinoma tissues with parallel samples of epithelial tissue and identified, by means of Human 1.7K cDNA microarrays, a set of genes with significantly altered expression in 12 patients. We used a combination of several approaches of microarray data analysis to be sure that the results were reliable. Although we have found differences between the results obtained by various image analysis software packages and using different statistical tools, we have identified the group of 22 genes with significantly altered expression in colorectal carcinoma tissue as compared with epithelial tissue using all evaluation approaches. Hierarchical clustering showed the possibility of dividing the patients into two groups according to the presence of metastases in regional lymph nodes. We have proposed 6 genes as potential markers for the detection of the presence of regional metastases in patients.
