An extensible attribute framework for ProCom
Štěpán, Petr ; Malohlava, Michal (referee) ; Bureš, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the attributes concept of ProCom, a component model developed within The Progress Centre for Predictable Embedded Software Systems. Attributes are pieces of information of various types and levels of abstraction associated with the ProCom entities during the development of a system. Based on the analysis of the development process envisioned by Progress, the requirements for the attributes of ProCom entities are identified, and various alternatives of realizing attributes are analyzed. The chosen solution of highly structured, multi-valued, and extensible attributes is elaborated. The thesis also consists of the design and the prototype implementation of an attribute framework realizing and proving the feasibility of the proposed concepts. The framework addresses the needs of all actors involved in working with attributes throughout the development of a system: It provides an extensible, modular GUI for viewing and editing possibly highly complex information contained in atributes, an interface for the programmatic access to attributes, and well-defined mechanisms for extending the attribute pool by new attributes, new attribute types, and means for their manipulation. The framework is integrated into the Progress IDE, the main tool supporting the Progress development.
Environment for Animation of Algorithms - Translator and Data Manipulation
Štěpán, Petr ; Holan, Tomáš (referee) ; Kryl, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes some of the main components of the AAnim software project. AAnim offers an environment for viewing and creating own programs in a simple Pascal-like language named AL. AL programs can be singlestepped, it is possible to display and change the values of their variables using the table of variables or using more advanced renderers and type editors. The more specialised animation of the running program is provided by visualisation modules (named animators). The titled input data of an algorithm (input variable sets) can be created, further used and managed by AAnim. AAnim is extensible by adding modules which deliver new types, functions and procedures to AL and animators. The following main components of the program are described in this work: translator, unified algorithm data management, type editors and renderers and animators.

ČNB Bank's board in first years of inflation targeting
Štěpán, Petr ; Hurník, Jaromír (advisor) ; Mičúch, Marek (referee)
This diploma thesis deal with decision making process in the Czech national bank's bank board in first six years after the switch to inflation targeting. Due to the transcripts from monetary policy meetings I analyze propensity and it's trend in preferences of bank's board members and compare it with their votings for change in interest rates. I show which members had the greatest influence on the bank board's decision in particular time. In the last part I compare optimal interest rate due to the Czech national bank's inflation target and external conditions to the member's preferences. Therefore I can evaluate the members and say who was the best monetary decision maker.
