Fabrication, heat treatment and characterization of thin layer NiTi alloys
Svatuška, Michal ; Vokoun, David (advisor) ; Dlouhý, Antonín (referee) ; Novák, Pavel (referee)
NiTi alloys with nearly equiatomic chemical composition are the most studied and the most practically utilized materials from the group of the shape memory alloys (SMA). The NiTi alloy has a thermoelastic martensitic transfor- mation (MT), which its two most important properties are based on: the shape memory and the superelasticity. Thin films of NiTi alloys with thicknesses from hundreds of nm to units of µm have a wide use mainly in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). The doctoral thesis deals with a fabrication of thin NiTi films using a deposition on silicon substrates with two techniques - the magnetron sputtering and the pulsed-laser deposition (PLD), an investigation of their mi- crostructure using x-ray diffraction, a heat treatment of amorphous NiTi films and with a verification of MT using resistometry. Furthermore, thermomechan- ical properties of a system NiTi-polyimide (NiTi-PI), namely a dependence of a curvature radius of a NiTi-PI bilayer on temperature, are studied. 1
Allowable risk
Šorf, David ; Vokoun, Rudolf (advisor) ; Bohuslav, Lukáš (referee)
The topic of this diploma thesis is allowable risk and its impact as a potential circumstance excluding liability. Czech law system takes into account tolerable risk as a circumstance excluding liability which this thesis is substantially focused on. At the beginning of the thesis circumstances excluding liability are defined in order to compare specifics of the tolerable risk institute. Briefly it analyzes some basic criminal law questions related to the thesis subject including concept of crime or errors in circumstances excluding liability. Next chapters deal with legal and general definition of tolerable risk and historical development of this issue in our law environment, including work of August Miřička, probably the first Czech lawyer addressing this issue. Further questions are suggested in these chapters. These questions are derived from legal status of tolerable risk and are thoroughly discussed in separate chapters for each sector. Legislator did not restrict sectors of usage explicitly. If conditions stated in the criminal code are fulfilled, tolerable risk can be always used. Although the thesis focuses on sectors in which risk has been proven usable, potential list of fields of application is not totally exhausting. I also evaluate suitability of the definition of tolerable risk in...
The concept and legal consequence of the excessive use of self-defence and necessity
Lenc, David ; Vokoun, Rudolf (advisor) ; Šámal, Pavel (referee)
1 Abstract THE CONCEPT AND LEGAL CONSEQUENCES OF THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LIMITS OF SELF-DEFENCE AND NECESSITY As the name suggests, this Master's thesis examines the concept and legal consequences of transgression of the limits of self-defence and necessity. Self-defence and necessity, together with other circumstances excluding illegality, belong to the fundamentals of criminal liability. If all their conditions are fulfilled by some action, which would otherwise give raise to criminal liability, then these legal institutions exclude not only criminal liability, but also illegality of such action (i.e. such action is considered lawful). The purpose of the paper is to provide complex and understandable analysis of these two crucial legal institutions. The analysis is mainly focused on conditions of these legal institutions, which form their limits; determination of conditions which, if not met, constitute the transgression of the limits of self-defence or necessity, and content and cases of fulfilment or failure to fulfil these conditions. (Thus, the cases of the transgression of the limits of self-defence and necessity are examined.) After the analysis of such excesses, the thesis addresses specific issues connected with their legal consequences. The thesis is based on Czech legal regulation, namely the...
Computer network at home
Grunt, David ; Vokoun, Tomáš (advisor) ; Šmejkalová, Martina (referee)
This thesis is about the domestic computer networks and the requirements awarding in this surroundings. Gradually, describes the history of the computer network of networks, the various topologies to the structure itself. The network is carried on copper cables category 5e, and using wireless technologies. There is also a description of the reference model ISO/OSI and TCP/IP as well as with its architecture. There are explained both active and passive network elements as those who are employed, and more. The practical part is an analysis to choose the hardware device. After processing, analysis equipment is designed for home network households, including a description and possible future expansion easy. As a major step described herein, the overall structure of the network, including domestic repository and test a network. Outcome of this work is to design a home computer network, for the majority of households using older hardware components and minimized financial workload.
The Common Mechanical Factor of Shape Memory
Kafka, Vratislav ; Vokoun, David
Shape memory is observed in elastic bodies, springs, bi-metals, in many mechanical actuators, such as thermostats and others, in many biological materials, and in special "shape memory alloys". It is shown that all systems or materials have one common factor: at least one elastic or thermoelastic continuous substructure, in the case of "shape memoryalloys" this substructure is on the atomic scale.
