Animated maps of public transport: Kladno city case study

Over the few last decades the maps cartography has gone through big changes. The significant role in this process played a computer technology that has brought for instance a quicker way of creating maps but also the possibility to create really dynamic maps. Capture of dynamic processes through dynamic maps provides a better insight into what is happening around us than what might be obtained from the statistic maps. The aim of the dissertation is to create animated maps that will be documenting the course of the transport in Kladno. The introduction part is concerned with the characteristics of dynamic features, with the focus on animation, which is the main subject of the dissertation. This followed by literature search providing an overview of both domestic and foreign cartographic works containing the features of a cartographic animation and dynamic maps. There is also provided an overview of general cartographic works or thematic cartography. However, the search made is not limited only to cartography publications but it is also concerned with classification and the description of animations placed on the Internet. Luboš Bělka ABSTRAKT Předmětem disertační práce je komplexní výzkum tvorby kartografických děl obsahujících materiály dálkového průzkumu Země. Autor se zaměřuje na ortofotografické zobrazení území (ortofotomapa) z pohledu základního a účelového geografického produktu. Disertační práce se zabývá výchozími podklady a metodami tvorby ortofotomap, základním (topografickým) a účelovým (tematickým) obsahem ortofotomap a zobrazovacími prostředky pro jeho vyjádření při vyváženém použití obrazové a znakové složky. Hlavním cílem disertační práce je vyhodnocení současné tvorby ortofotomap, včetně jejich kritického posouzení, sestavení metodiky jejich tvorby a formou případových studií předložit možné varianty tvorby perspektivních ortofotomap zejména pro účely státní správy a územní samosprávy a motivovat k odborné diskuzi k problémovým otázkám včetně základních konceptů ortofotomap, zobrazovacím metodám apod. JAROSLAV BURIAN Abstract in English "Implementation of geospatial technologies into modeling of urbanization processes in strategic planning of city development" PhD thesis represents original author's approach to the modeling of urban processes by using GIS in Olomouc region. In theoretical part, urban processes and spatial structures of the cities are described in connection with geospatial technologies and digital data for studying, analysis, modeling and simulation. Practical part is divided into for separated parts to fluently binding and creating homogenous thematic block. The first part of the thesis analyses development of Olomouc city by using functional areas derived from historical urban plans (since 1930). The development of urban processes, spatial structures of the city and impacts of urbanization and suburbanization are evaluated. Second chapter describes identification, analysis and quantification of suburbanization in Olomouc suburban space. The main result is Toolbox "Suburban Analyst" in ArcGIS software that use multi- criteria evaluation method and allows identifying and quantifying suburbanization in municipalities' level. Atlas podnebí České republiky a regionalizace výstupů modelů všeobecné cirkulace atmosféry pro potřeby území České republiky: Atlas podnebí ČR

Cílem dílčího projektu 01 je kompletně zpracovat Atlasu podnebí České republiky pro všechny hlavní klimatické charakteristiky. Po prověření reálného stavu dat a možností jejich zpracování bylo navrženo doplnění průvodních osmi částí Atlasu (teplotní charakteristiky, srážkové charakteristiky, charakteristiky sněhové pokrývky, vlhkost vzduchu, sluneční záření, sluneční svit a oblačnost, tlak vzduchu a vítr, nebezpečné atmosférické jevy, fenologické charakteristiky) o samostatné kapitoly teplota půdy, dynamická klimatologie a klasifikace podnebí. v roce 2004 byly řešeny tyto úkoly: Dokončení inventarizace dat pro jednotlivé prvky; Vyhodnocení a výběr vhodné sítě stanic; Rekonstrukce chybějících údajů (pro vlhkost vzduchu, oblačnost, sluneční svit a záření, fenologické charakteristiky a nebezpečné atmosférické jevy a Vypracování metodiky zpracování jednotlivých charakteristik. Studie obsahuje návrh obsahu Atlasu podnebí ČR.
