In vitro adhesion measurements of plasticized oligoesters
Veselá, Lenka ; Šnejdrová, Eva (advisor) ; Dittrich, Milan (referee)
Lenka veselá Diploma theses 2008 There are summarized the basic theories and mechanisms of bioadhesion, the factors influencing bioadhesion, the bioadhesive polymers and the most common methods of bioadhesive testing in vitro in the theoretic part of this thesis. There were measured the dynamic viscosity of plasticized polymers of D, L- lactic and glykolic acid branched with mannitol (M) or dipentaerythritol (D) in the concentration of 3%, 5% and 8% in the experimental part of this thesis. Like plasticizer there was used methylester of salicylic acid (MS) in the concentration of 10 - 50%. The dynamic viscosity was measured on the digital viscometer Brookfield DV-E with the adapter for small volume of samples and there was used the spindle No.15. The samples were heated up 40řC. There was found, that applies by all tested plasticized carriers with different type and concentration of branching component, that the viscosity falls with increasing concentration of plasticizer. The viscosity falls by one rank with increasing concentration of plasticizer by 10%. The viscosity of branched polymers is also influenced by the molecular weight and the degree of branching. There was found, that oligoesters with higher molecular weight and with lower degree of branching have higher viscosity. If there is the...
How changed the image of the Soviet Union in the protectorate daily press-comparison of the contemporary media contents in august-september 1939 and june-juli 1941
Veselá, Lenka ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor) ; Cebe, Jan (referee)
Diploma thesis "Change of the Soviet Union image in the protectorate press based on comparison of the media content from the turn of August/September 1939 and June/July 1941" deals with the manner in which the protectorate newspapers informed about the Ribbentop-Molotov Pact and later about the German invasion of the Soviet Union. The examples of these events and their reflection in the Protectorate press demonstrate how flexibly the protectorate propaganda responded to the current political line. For the purposes of the thesis, there have been selected three newspapers: Polední list, Večerní České Slovo and Venkov. These periodicals were examined in two time-bound periods, from 23rd August till 27th September 1939 and from 16th June till 14th July 1941. The methodology used is a historical comparative analysis, which discusses the transformation of Protectorate propaganda attitudes in the dependence on the historical context, and semiotic analysis, which deals with period media discourse and reveals ideology sustained on the level of sign systems.
Biography and Works of Printer and Wood-Cutter Michael Peterle (†1588)
Tvrzníková, Jana ; Voit, Petr (advisor) ; Veselá, Lenka (referee)
Thesis about life and work of a printer and a woodcutter Michael Peterle is focused mainly on his assumed woodcutting activity (he was active between years 1562-1588). It is based on following assumption: although Michael Peterle did not sign his woodcuts, he illustrated portion of his prints. His printing office produced multitude of topical compositions and some interesting illustrated books. Photodocumentation and description of woodcutting illustrations and decoration (according to Soupis tisků Michaela Peterla staršího a jeho nástupců by Pravoslav Kneidl and more recent sources) was created during writing of this thesis. Attention was also focused on context of usage of illustrations. Afterwards Illustrations and decoration of Peterle's competition in the Czech Republic and Germany were examined. Conducted research showed, that Michael Peterle was not woodcutter, but only a colorist and a printer. This thesis provides another view on printing production in the second half of the 16th century. Key words: Peterle, Michael; printer; bookprinting; woodcut; illustration; decoration
The ronde of plays by Arthur Schnitzler. Schnitzler's drama and its Czech translations with a particular focus on "Reigen"
Veselá, Lenka ; Veselá, Gabriela (advisor) ; Svoboda, Tomáš (referee)
This master's thesis is a contribution to the history of translation and is dedicated mainly to translations between Czech and German. The thesis deals with the work of Arthur Schnitzler, one of the greatest Austrian writers whose prose and drama still remains very modern and topical, and focuses particularly on drama. In his times, especially during World War One, Schnitzler's plays were among the most frequently performed pieces in theatres and were shown not just in Austria but also far abroad. In recent decades, the drama of Arthur Schnitzler has once again enjoyed a great deal of interest, and his plays have been popular both among the audience and among scholars. Since 1960s, the work of Schnitzler has been studied in several hundreds of papers, and many scholars have also been attracted by the rich biographical part of Schnitzler's legacy. Most of Schnitzler's life dates to the final period of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, and since the empire included, among others, the territory of today's Czech Republic, Czech audience, too, were well acquainted with his work. Nevertheless, there have been no in-depth studies dedicated to the reception of Schnitzler's work in Czech lands, and apart from a few exceptions, the life and work of the Austrian playwright have never become subject of detailed study by...

Books in the court of the Rosenbergs
Succession proceedings with an international element and a focus on adoption and practical functioning of the succession regulation
Veselá, Lenka ; Pfeiffer, Magdalena (advisor) ; Zavadilová, Marta (referee)
Succession with cross-border implications focusing on adoption and application of Succession Regulation in practice The subject of the rigorous thesis is succession with cross-border implications focusing on adoption and application of Succession Regulation in practice. Succession Regulation applies from 17th August 2015 and unifies both conflict of law and jurisdiction rules in matters of international succession. Moreover, it creates European Certificate of Succession (hereinafter the "ECS") to be issued for use in another Member State in order to efficiently settle the succession. Succession Regulation shortens the length of inheritance proceedings and removes obstacles to the exercise of the rights of beneficiaries in relation to succession having cross-border implications. This thesis focuses on adoption of Succession Regulation, basic application rules (scope, principles) and interpretation problems connected to its application in practice. The aim of this thesis is clarification of the main principles of Succession Regulation and providing an overview of the rules for determining its temporal, territorial and subject matter jurisdiction. The main goal is the detailed analysis of problematic issues, which occur in connection with the application of Succession Regulation in practice - not only...
