Fiedlerová, Eliška ; Laufková, Veronika (advisor) ; Ronková, Jolana (referee)
The thesis focuses on the topic of reading preliteracy and the creation of a quality reading environment. The aim of the thesis is to encourage children and parents to develop their interest in reading and books through the implementation of various activities. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. In the theoretical part, there is an explanation of what the reading environment is and how it is influenced. Furthermore, there is a definition of the basic concepts related to reading preliteracy and its importance in the child's development. It also describes selected activities and projects that promote reading and what a children's library in a school should look like. Finally, the theoretical part describes appropriate genres for preschool children and recommended selected titles for children's libraries. The empirical part describes the research conducted in the selected kindergarten. Action research was determined as the form of research that best met the conditions for achieving the given goal. The problem of action research was determined to be the lack of interest in books and reading among children and their parents. Six research questions were set and activities were designed to increase interest. Furthermore, observation, interview and questionnaire methods were used...

To achieve the set goal, the thesis was divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. For the processing of the theoretical part of the thesis, the method of literary research was used, thanks to which the current theoretical knowledge and the results of research in the given issue were summarized. A quantitative research method through a questionnaire survey and an attention test were used to process the practical part of the thesis. Vimrová, Gabriela ; Wildová, Radka (advisor) ; Ronková, Jolana (referee)
In my diploma thesis, I decided to focus on the evaluation of the issue and, above all, formative education in classical elementary schools. Assessment is very important for a person's future life and therefore teachers should be able to handle it correctly. Thanks to the assessment, teachers can already guide the pupil at a young school age and influence their future life in primary education. The work contains a view of formative assessment that focuses on the student and improves the relationship between teacher and student. I divided the theoretical part into 4 chapters, which contains basic information about assessments and formative assessments. The first chapter deals with the concept of assessments in general. The chapter also looks at the past of evaluation and describes the phases of the teaching process. The second chapter is devoted to school assessments, its specifics and functions. The third chapter is the formative assessment itself, which then focuses on its methods. The last chapter covers student motivation to learn. The practical part deals with the qualitative research method and examines the view of teachers and students' parents on formative assessments. I created two questionnaires that aim to find out how formative assessment is perceived by teachers and parents in the 1st...

Furthermore, the diploma thesis presents historical methods of teaching elementary reading, divided into synthetic and analytical methods, the described methods were used in the Czech Republic in the past. I have allocated separate chapters for the currently most used teaching methods of reading in the Czech Republic, these are analytical-synthetic, genetic and global methods, the global method is more detailed in the historical concept of reading teaching in the Czech Republic, as it is not central to my work. In the diploma thesis, you will also find basic strategies and features in the teaching of elementary reading and writing, which are common to all teaching methods. The aim of the diploma thesis was the comparison of analytical-synthetic and genetic methods of reading. I focused on comparing the methods according to the stages of teaching and tried to find the advantages and disadvantages of both methods. At the same time, I was interested in which of the methods used in teaching early reading is more common in Czech schools. This research includes, in the form of a short...

Furthermore, the three-phase E - U - R model, which will also be used in the research, is presented in theory. The practical part is devoted to the use of lapbooks in a kindergarten environment. It aims to compile the steps of teacher preparation for creating a lapbook, the creation of model lapbooks and methodical instructions for their creation. A qualitative approach to the research is applied with the use of case studies, participatory observation, unstructured and semi-structured interview and the analysis of the work with five lapbooks, which were created in the course of almost five months by five children aged 5-6 years. The diploma thesis deals with development of the initial reading literacy in integrated thematical content (ITC). In the theoretical part, attention is paid to initial education, its definition, methods of teaching reading, organizational forms and evaluation. The thesis briefly describes the development of integrated thematic teaching, explains its concept and important components, and it also describes the use of this teaching technique in the 1st grade of primary schools, especially in the first years of studies. The research part is implemented through several methods, where I tried to obtain a wider range of data for the use of integrated thematic teaching in the development of initial reading literacy. The observation of teaching brings insight into the practical use of this teaching model, the experiences of teachers are determined by a questionnaire survey and the knowledge and skills of three groups of pupils are investigated by a research probe, where during data processing I compare the level of partial levels of initial reading literacy in the monitored group with ITC with two control groups, which they do not...
