The Youth Consumerism and Its Interdependency with Economic and Cultural Capital

The work deals with the consumerism of thirteen and fourteen years old youths. The authoress aims to answer the question of what extent the observed age category seems to be consumer in their attitudes and whether their consumerist attitudes have an universal character or whether it is structurally related to their economic and cultural capital. At first the authoress briefly presents the consumerism as a sociological topic. She pays a particular attention to the impact of social stratification on the lifestyle. As her main theoretical basis she states a concept of homologous classes of Pierre Bourdieu, from which she incorporates the concept of economic and cultural capital as the main differentiating principles affecting the lifestyle. In addition she presents the characteristics of today's school children in the context of Czech society and mentions the role of socialization in the transfer of capital and consumption patterns from parents to their child. Finally, the authoress describes her approach to the analysis of data on attitudes towards the consumption in defined age category. She introduces readers to research results, which show the prevailing consumerism of monitored group. Voluntary and involuntary childlessness: From relatively high birth-rate to absence of children

The aim of presented bachelor work is the problem of progressive reduction of the birth rate from its beginning up to present , when the phenomenon of childlessness is occurred relatively frequently. Intended childlessness begins to be the rightful alternative of living or reproductive strategy. At the same time the number of couples unable to deliver baby from the biological causes continues to increase. These facts weakens the position of parenthood. Subsequently the parenthood is not viewed by the society as a natural and self-evident phenomenon as it was formerly. My work also deals with the phenomenon of voluntary and involuntary childlessness, their extent in the Czech society is evaluated. The view of the society and the childless people themselves concerning this problem is also mentioned.
Contemporary trends in fatherhood in Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the specifics of contemporary fatherhood in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis follows the development of fatherhood in terms of historical stages and then defines fatherhood on the basis of three criteria: the legislative, psychology and in terms of differences between motherhood and fatherhood. Then it focuses on the specifics of the current phenomenon of fatherhood, especially on the theory that deals with increased involvement of fathers in childcare. These theories define a new father who actively participates in childcare, housework and is engaged in emotional relationship with a child. Research part examines whether the fathers in Czech Republic aim to new forms of fatherhood, or remain in traditional patterns. Research shows that in the Czech Republic there is dominance of traditional fathers. On the other hand, we can find the features of new fatherhood in their way of thinking.
Subjective view of patiens to new procedures for treatment of alcohol dependence in comparison with previous aversive method

The theme of this work is women's addiction to alcohol and their subjective view of medical treatment in the context of their own treatment. This work is focused on the all-society problem of alcoholism, particularly for women. Subsequently on the inpatient treatment - in which principles worked previously and as currently conceived. This is a qualitative study in which women evaluated previously applied aversive approach and the current cognitive-behavioral model of treatment. There has been growing number of specialists for alcoholic treatment recently. There are many methods and approaches which are applied to the treatments. Currently, there are more significant therapeutic approaches helping people to deal with their risky emotions and various cognitive - behavioral methods and methods leading to enhancing motivation. Each person is individual and it is very difficult to develop such a therapy or set of treatments, which would suit to the growing number handicapped people.
