Preparation of a warehouse building in Kuřim

The subject of my diploma thesis is preparation of the realization of a warehouse situated in Kuřim. The work contains technological regulations for the construction of the reinforced concrete skeleton and the realization of the industrial floor, the design of the main machines and mechanisms including the time deployment, the detailed time schedule of the main building object SO 101.3 Hall B, time schedule and financial plan of the building – the objects one. Due to the scale of the work, documents relating to safety and quality control are also processed. Further, the technical report of the site equipment, including drawings, is processed. In the chapter, which provides space for other assignments, the OSH plan is elaborated, the budget of object SO 101.3 Hall B, Safety measures for the installation of reinforced concrete skeleton. The last point of the diploma thesis deals with specialization in the field of realization of inland communication.

Changing the fuel base of the coal boiler

The diploma thesis contains calculations of gasification of coal boiler. The first part of thesis contains stochiometric calculations, heat balance and calculations of combustion chamber. In the next part are calculations of heat exchange surfaces and at the end of this part are calculations of regenerative air heater and total boiler balance. Calculations are made by regard to investments costs, preservation of the steam parameters and keeps emissons limits.

Issues of experimental determination of concrete moisture

This bachelor´s thesis studies issues of moisture determination in concrete. First part describes the relationship between moisture and concrete structure. Second part is dedicated to methodology of concrete moisture determination and also to an own experiment. Main focus of thesis is to evaluate the accuracy and relevance of selected methods of determining the concrete moisture.

Implementation of the gross superstructure of residential house in Boskovice

The bachelor thesis deals with the realization of the upper gross construction of the apartment house in Boskovice. The content of the thesis is the technological regulations for vertical and horizontal constructions, a detailed schedule and an itemized budget. Due to its great demands on quality of building construction and safety during building itself there are included chapters dealing with this issue in the thesis. The thesis also contains a technical report of the construction site including its technical drawing. The chapter that deals with different assignment is drawn up alternative design of outside cladding of the building. It consists of two variants: with or without thermal insulation. This is a price comparison and a comparison of the heat transfer by individual constructions. The draft is complemented by relevant details.

Determination of essential oils in hops and beer by GC-MS method

The submitted master's thesis aims to the analysis of hop essential oils using gas chromatography separation and subsequent determination using a pair of mass and flame ionization detectors. In the first part, the thesis focuses on the theoretical approach to the issue of hop essential oils and the technical functionality of the device for the detection and quantitative determination of essential oils. Subsequently, in the second part, work describes the development, optimization and validation of the newly developed method for the extraction and determination of hop essential oil.

The joint International Interdisciplinary Conference of Chemical Analysis, APCE-CECE-ITP-IUPAC 2022, comprising the 18th Asia Pacific International Symposium on Microscale Separations and Analyses, the 17th International Interdisciplinary Meeting on Bioanalysis, the 28th International Symposium on Electro- and Liquid Phase-Separation Techniques, and IUPAC Special Symposia by Division of Chemistry and the Environment, provided full texts of 108 oral and 54 poster presentations. The attached conference proceedings, edited by highly cited scientists, document the quality of the meeting. Similarly to previous years, the lectures were given by distinguished scientists. The Story of Teamwork and the Birth of the FFP* (Filter Backpack)

Soon after the outbreak of the coronavirus crisis in the Czech Republic and the first lockdown (2020), we enthusiastically decided to fight the coronavirus with scientific \nmeans. Originally materials engineers, we decided to develop an effective protective respiratory device, which was in short supply at the time. We soon found out, that every textile material (handkerchief 10%) has a certain ability to catch an aerosol particle carrying the corona virus, the slower the aerosol particle (d<300 nm) passes through the filter, the greater the chance it has of being caught, with the thickness of the filter, the amount of passed particles decreases exponentially and breathing resistance increases linearly. On this basis, we decided to experiment with a large-area filter placed on the user's back (it wouldn't fit anywhere else) and commercially available textile filter material.
