The aim of this bachelor thesis is to translate selected chapters of the first part of the book How to Choose Wine by Vincent Gasnier, and then to write a commentary to the translation. Historical transformations in the function of Prague demonological legends

This paper is dedicated to phenomenon of Prague legends, as they were captued in various folklore and literaly forms from the Middle Ages to the 21st century. The aim of my analysis are not only authentical folklore collectings, but also their literary adaptations. I will also capture the penetration of these collectings into another artistic and pop culture genres and forms. The aim of this paper are not only transformations of topics and motives in Prague demonological legends, but also a dynamic movement of these texts between oral, artistic and popular culture. The main objective will be also to outline the historical development in the transformations of the functions of these legends. In a few centuries, they transformed from the for local society believable stories with a lot of social and cultural functions to primarily entertaining texts of our time, which, however, still may attribute an educational function; part of their theme survives in a form of so-called contemporary legends, myths and rumors.
Social support in senior age

This bachelor's thesis is dealing with problematic of social support and it's specifics in older age. I will write about terminology, sources of social support and their positive and negative effects. Also I will explain different types of social support and ways how can we determine it. Special attention will be focused on the seniors in institutional care in Czech republic. In the end of the thesis there will be designed a research for monitoring a social support and quality of life at this senior group.
Proposal of Changes in the System of Employees Evaluation and Remuneration in a Selected Company

This bachelor thesis deals with a change in the system of evaluation and remuneration in a selected company. The theoretical part summarizes concepts and pieces of knowledge related to evaluation of employees and also their motivation and remuneration. The analytical part focuses on a detailed description of current state of this company and the last part contains proposals for changes in the functioning system of evaluation and remuneration and its economic evaluation.
The effect of a storage conditions on fatty acids in processed cheese

This diploma thesis deals with the changes in content of fatty acids in long-lasting stored sterilized processed cheeses. Cheeses were stored under different temperatures 6 ± 2 °C, 23 ± 2 °C and 40 ± 2 °C during 23 months. Measurements was made in 16th and 23rd month of storage. The samples of sterilized processed cheeses were extracted by using mixture of solvents (ethanol, diethylether and petrolether). The obtained fat was then saponified by methanolic solution of potassium hydroxide. The methylesthers were analyzed by gas chromatography with flame ionization detection. Lauric, myristic, palmitic, oleic and stearic acids were the most abundant in cheeses. The yield was measured in these main acids. To summarize the content of fatty acids decreased during time of storage and also by influence of storage temperature higher than in refrigerator.
International position of Czechoslovakia in the period of so called 1st republic

The thesis is concerned with the international position of Czechoslovakia between the years 1918 and 1938. Its aim is to explore possibilities and chances of a small state to survive and to prosper. The thesis analyses Czechoslovak journey to independence during the World War I, its activities at the Parisian Peace Conference, its performance in the League of Nations, development of mutual relations with powers and succesion states of former Austria-Hungaria and foundation of Petite entente. The thesis also pays attention to events that preceded signing of the Munich Agreement in September 1938 and tries to answer the question if it had been possible to prevent it and if there were any other ways how to react.
