Physical growth and efficiency of preschool children regarding motion mode
Kohoutová, Hana ; Dvořáková, Hana (advisor) ; Engelthalerová, Zdeňka (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with comparing the level of physical growth and basic motor skills of preschool children, their motion mode and the conditions for movement activities in two kindergartens located in different municipalities (in a city and in a town). The aim of the study was to determine the level of growth and motor performance of preschool children in relation to the motion mode at their residence. The study included 116 children aged 4-6. The level of physical growth was assessed by measuring somatic characteristics of children (height, weight, BMI). The data extracted from the study were compared to percentile charts. The level of motor performance was assessed by sensory tests. In the case of basic motor skills there was chosen 20 ms run with standing start for the testing of speed capability, for the evaluation of explosive strength abilities was selected jump from the spot with two legs reflection, the testing of explosive strength of the upper limbs was exercised by a ball throw by both right and left hand. At the same time, these tests show the level of motor performance of preschool children. To map the conditions of the motor development of preschool children, an analysis of the conditions of the two municipalities and an analysis of the conditions and the education plan of...
Interspecific song copying in birds: causes and evolutionary consequences
Kohoutová, Hana ; Reifová, Radka (advisor) ; Vokurková, Jana (referee)
Bird song is very important for communication in birds, especially in passerine birds. It helps to define male territory and singing is also used to attract a femalein mating season. Singing is also important for maintenance of prezygotic reproductive barriers in many bird species. In various species of birds, especially in closely related, there may occur heterospecific copying of singing. This phenomenon is also known as the mixed singing. Mixed singing is emerging in different avian species by various mechanisms. Mostly this is an error during the learning phase of singing, but in some cases copping of singing may be adaptive. The aim of this thesis is to sumarize the existing knowledge and findings about mixed singing, also to describe known examples of mixed singers in closely related species, present hypotheses that may explain the origin of mixed singing, and discuss ecological and evolutionary significance of this phenomenon. Key words: birds, songs, mixed singing, vocal mimicry, sister species

This bachelor thesis deals with comparing motor skills of preschool children, their physical growth and the conditions for movement activities in two kindergartens located in different municipalities. The aim of the study was to determine the level of growth and motor performance of preschool children in relation to their residence. The level of physical growth was assessed by measuring somatic characteristics of children (height, weight, BMI) and the level of performance of pre-school children was assessed by sensory tests (run 20m, long jump, ball throwing). An analysis of the conditions of the two municipalities and an analysis of the conditions and the education plan of each participating kindergartens in relation to the motion development of children were made. This work shows the possible differences between regions regarding the growth and performance of preschool children. Keywords Physical growth, motor efficiency, preschool child, conditions.
The importance of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation in physiotherapy treatment of women after modified mastectomy
Koudelková, Klára ; Nováková, Petra (advisor) ; Kohoutová, Hana (referee)
This work deals with finding meaning PNF in therapy after breast surgery. In the theoretical part is analyzed the problem of disease (epidemiology, risk factors, anatomy of the mammary gland, treatment) and postoperative problems after mastectomy (surgery complications, comprehensive rehabilitation, physiotherapy, PNF). The objective of practical part is to compare the effect of two types of therapy on the functional state of patients. Therapy of one patient will be mediated by an analytical method of exercise, the second will be using PNF. The examination was carried out after the operation and then the month after surgery. It was founed that therapy mediated by the analytical method of exercise is reached faster and better results. Key words: breast cancer, modified mastectomy, comprehensive rehabilitation, physiotherapy, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF)

BACHELOR'S THESIS ABSTRACT Author's first name and surname: Marek Kubánek Supervisor: Bc. Ivona Heřmanová Title of the thesis: The use of physiotherapy procedures in patients with compartment syndrome in the context of arterial closures Abstract This thesis deals with physiotherapy methods used in the treatment of compartment syndrome. The first part describes the overview of the theoretical knowledge in anatomy, defines the basic concepts and finally deals with individual physiotherapy practices. The research is focused on comparing the Vojta method and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation in two patients with the diagnosis of compartment syndrome. One patient underwent therapy using proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, the second patient Vojta reflex locomotion, both in the range of five therapies in five consecutive days. When comparing the two patients achieved a significant improvement in muscle strength. The objectification of measuring muscle strength muscle test was used according to Janda. The measurements resulted in significant differences in comparing the efficiency of both methods. Key words: Compartment syndrome, Physiotheraphy, Vojta's method, PNF, M. tibialis anterior syndrome

Physiotherapy in patients with Spina bifida
Kamarýtová, Jitka ; Senetyčová, Miroslava (advisor) ; Kohoutová, Hana (referee)
The purpose of my bachelor thesis is to sum up the findings related to spina bifida and to list opportunities of using physiotherapeutic approaches and methods in individual forms of this development congenital disorder. The thesis is divided in two parts - practical and theoretical. In the theoretical part, I tried to sum up the information gathered and these were then applied in the practical part. I provided a detailed explanation of different types of spina bifida as the surgery treatment and physiotherapeutic intervention depend on the clinical picture of individual forms of this disorder. In the practical part, my focus was the application of concrete physiotherapeutic approaches and methods in selected patients suffering from spina bifida.
