Nursery Management in Pedagogical Process

The master's thesis deals with the management of nurseries and related requirements, focusing on the management and the quality of the pedagogical process with respect to managerial and administrative duties of head teachers. The goal of the study is to analyse the motivation for running for nursery head teacher, adaptation process and head teacher duties, including the impact of managerial and administrative responsibilities on the pedagogical process quality in nurseries. Special attention is paid to the comparison of head teachers of different types of nurseries. The empirical part of the master's thesis answers the following questions: What was the motivation of head teachers for applying for the job? How many hours a day do head teachers engage in pedagogical and managerial activities? Do head teachers believe that their managerial and administrative duties have a negative impact on the quality of the pedagogical process? What are the differences between head teachers' jobs at different types of nurseries? The thesis uses both qualitative and quantitative research. A survey was conducted among a larger number of respondents, providing a basis for a questionnaire for head teachers of eight selected nurseries. Musical activities in the development of graphomotor skills during the lateralization of preschool children

The subject of the thesis is the use of musical activities in the development of graphomotor skills of preschool children. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the problem of harmonization of music and movement at the level of gross and fine motor skills. It also deals with the issue of laterality and its distinctness. The practical part contains a detailed case study of a boy with a disadvantageous type of laterality and follows the development of his graphomotor skills during 15 lessons, the core of which are musical activities for the development of graphomotor skills of preschool children. I used multiple complementary research methods in the in-depth case study, which were participant observation, mother interview, open-ended questionnaire, family and personal history, and PPP report. The action research was conducted over a ten-month period, with the boys being 4 years and 3 months old at the start of the research. The practical part of the thesis analyses the action research data and evaluates the overall impact of specific musical activities in the development of preschool children's graphomotor skills.
Development of speech and communication in preschool children through selected children's literature

The topic of the diploma thesis is the development of speech and communication in preschool children. It deals with the possibilities of using children's literature and reading children's books to influence and improve the level of speech and communication between children. The work consists of two parts. The theoretical part defines the development of a preschool child with emphasis on the development of speech and their components. Furthermore, the types and forms of children's literature and its importance in preschool age are introduced. The theoretical part also deals with the individual language levels that it describes. The empirical part is processed in the form of action research. Its main part is a thematic unit with proposed activities and work with selected children's literature. Within the thematic unit, children are more actively involved in children's literature and communication with each other. At the end of the empirical part, the thematic unit will be reflected, evaluated and possible recommendations for further support of speech development and communication of preschool children will be given. Child's portfolio as a tool for improving cooperation between family and kindergarten

The diploma thesis entitled "Child Portfolio as a Means to Improve Family and Kindergarten Cooperation" deals with how a child's portfolio can help improve family and nursery school cooperation, more specifically to awaken parental interest in the development of their child. The aim of the theoretical part is to describe how the child's portfolio can be managed and the importance of introducing the portfolio in pre-school education. It also describes how the kindergarten cooperates with the child's family, the pitfalls that can occur in the communication between the family and the school, and the importance of family and school cooperation for the development of a pre-school child. Part of the thesis is a research investigation, which is conducted in the form of action research. The empirical part aims to find out if the introduction of a children's portfolio in a kindergarten classroom will improve cooperation between the nursery school and parents of children. Education of children from socially disadvantaged environments in nursery schools in Klatovy region

The diploma thesis deals with the problematic of education of children with socially disadvantage in nursery schools. The theoretical part elaborates the definition of the social disadvantage, its reasons and types. The text also deals with the social exclusion and the economical and demographical situation in Klatovy region. There thesis mentions also the laws and regulations relating to the children with special educational needs. The theoretical part deals with the possibilities of the support for the children with social disadvantage. I focused also on the institutions and organizations that can help the teachers as well as the families to solve different life situations. The research part focuses on teachers and assistant directors of the nursery schools in Klatovy region who meet and educate children with social disadvantage in the nursery schools.
