Specifics of information systems in organisations of public urban transport

This work deals with the specifics of the information systems used in organizations, which operating public transport. It aims to map out their composition and the associated specifics which may differ from the ordinary business information systems and to map out the general issues and their incorporation into the context of essays, find out the reasons and principles of obtaining of the component parts of the information system (in particular, the rate of utilization of standardized and individual solutions), find out the problems and weaknesses of these solutions and their overall concept and the outlook for the future in this field.
Comparison shopping as a way to increase sales on the Internet

This bachelor thesis deals with a part of the Internet services, that's known as comparison shopping. Comparison shopping services on the Internet describes from a theoretical point of view but also from a practical point of view. Introduction to Internet marketing enriches by the acquired data and points to the importance of marketing mix in the context of a price comparison. The concept of price comparison is evaluated on the basis of practical experience from user perspective and in terms of vendor. This work shows, how the comparison shopping works in real world, what problems it has, what solutions are possible to do and suggests one of the potential way to future extensions. Based on the data and analysis explains the chosen corporate strategy. Using publicly available data and information collected by Google Analytics to evaluate the current status of comparison shopping on the internet. One part of this work is about introducing a new price comparison shopping service. Describes detailed the situation of Czech comparison shopping services in comparison with the new service introduced. Finally compares the measured metrics from the newly established service with the competition.
Comparison shopping on the Czech Internet

This bachelor thesis is focused on the field of comparison shopping. Step by step it deals with the classification of the comparison shopping services in the sphere of e-commerce, with the description of them and with the way of their working. It describes the current situation on the Czech internet market in this field. A part of this thesis is also a questionnaire focused on the ways of using price comparison services by consumers. The practical part of this thesis deals with the inclusion of the e-shop into the price comparison service Heureka.cz and presents the results as the number of clicks, the traffic and the conversion rate from Heureka.cz after over a month.

This work is focused on the collective discount trades on the internet. The main goal of this paper is to describe the concept of collective buying, campaign process on daily deals website and analyze the experience of consumers and merchants. The first chapter deals with the history and origins of collective buying on the internet and beyond. The second chapter deals with the concept of collective buying. It also describes marketing activities the daily deals websites and the role of aggregators. The third chapter describes the situation and market developments in the world and particularly in the Czech Republic. The fourth chapter is focused on different perspectives of the participants of discount shopping. The fifth chapter covers the legal and ethical aspect. The sixth chapter describes the process of campaigns on the deal of the day website along with case studies. In the seventh chapter the work deals with the analysis of the research carried out between buyers and sellers on the daily deals website.

In this bachelor thesis, I am going to cover the environment of Twitter. Theoretical part of the work is focused on concept of Twitter, its potential for business activities and introducing tools for extending Twitter experience. In practical part, I am analyzing an actual use of Twitter by czech companies, especially their timelines.
Creation, promotion and monetization possibilities content websites on the czech Internet

The main contribution of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the possible monetization of the content websites and presentation of successful models combination based on several years of my practical experience. As another benefit the work, the creation of a new view of the websites classification can be taken into account, their development and effective promotion. Logical structure of this work has two basic parts. The first one is dedicated to developing and promoting a website. This is mostly a theoretical analysis with a focus on meeting the prerequisites for successful implementation of the site in terms of its revenues. The second part is mainly based on practical knowledge and deals with the specific methods of earnings resulting from the operation of a content website.
Methodology of development and deployment of Business Intelligence solutions in Small and Medium Sized Enterprises

Dissertation thesis deals with development and implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME) in the Czech Republic. This thesis represents climax of author's up to now effort that has been put into completing a methodological model for development of this kind of applications for SMEs using self-owned skills and minimum of external resources and costs. This thesis can be divided into five major parts. First part that describes used technologies is divided into two chapters. First chapter describes contemporary state of Business Intelligence concept and it also contains original taxonomy of Business Intelligence solutions. Second chapter describes two Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) techniques that were used for building those BI solutions that are introduced in case studies. Second part describes the area of Czech SMEs, which is an environment where the thesis was written and which it is meant to contribute to. This environment is represented by one chapter that defines the differences of SMEs against large corporations. Furthermore, there are author's reasons why he is personally focusing on this area explained. Third major part introduces the results of survey that was conducted among Czech SMEs with support of Department of Information Technologies of Faculty of Informatics and Statistics of University of Economics in Prague. This survey had three objectives. First one was to map the readiness of Czech SMEs for BI solutions development and deployment. Second was to determine major problems and consequent decisions of Czech SMEs that could be supported by BI solutions and the third objective was to determine top factors preventing SMEs from developing and deploying BI solutions. Fourth part of the thesis is also the core one. In two chapters there is the original Methodology for development and deployment of BI solutions by SMEs described as well as other methodologies that were studied. Original methodology is partly based on famous CRISP-DM methodology. Finally, last part describes particular company that has become a testing ground for author's theories and that supports his research. In further chapters it introduces case-studies of development and deployment of those BI solutions in this company, that were build using contemporary BI and KDD techniques with respect to original methodology. In that sense, these case-studies verified theoretical methodology in real use.
Second Life - usage for business activities

The theme of this bacherol thesis is virtual world Second Life and its usage for business activities. At the first part of thesis I'm going to introduce readers with the virtual world. I'm going to describe how the virtual world works, technical aspects and history. Also I focus on a users, which are be found in the virtual world. I'm going to split users into three catogories, I describe them and associate them with a suitable examples. At the next part of thesis, I focus on a business activities of the companies from the real world, in the virtual world Second Life. I will do a basic split of the activities in light of its costs and gains. I associate a suitable examples. I'm going to look closer on regions where are active czech communities. Thereinafter I look on a particual companies acuating in the virtual world Second Life at the czech communities. I look closer on their business activities and analyse them in light of its costs and gains for specific company. At final, I will reflect about future of virtual world Second Life. Objective of bacherol thesis is make readers acquainted with the virtual world Second Life. Make its closer analyse in light of possible business activities for a separeted users, focused mainly on a companies. Analyse business activities on suitable examples from a czech background and figure out if applies do its or not with a respect in future developement. For elaboration of thesis I used every accesible litarature, sources and also own research which I made with my active being in a virtual world Second Life.
Internet movie distribution

This thesis focuses on different ways and possibilities of movie distribution. The thesis describes functioning of the movie industry and characterizes particular distribution channels, focusing on Internet distribution in detail. The practical part reviews and evaluates specific internet video on demand services of digital movie distribution available in the Czech Republic and abroad. The last chapter contains a questionary monitoring preference regarding the Internet digital distribution of the respondents. The aim of this thesis is to characterize the current state of digital movie distribution and it's popular services, which is going to become the future of home entertainment and the Internet might become primary channel of movie distribution.
Devices for user behavior analysis on Twitter

People connected in a social network manifest certain patterns regarding their behavior, which are stemming from similar patterns emerging from conventional social networks. In my work I will try to describe some of these behaviors as they are projected on Twitter and how they apply when performing discovery preceding a marketing campaign as well as during post-campaign evaluation. From the practical standpoint I will try to apply this information on a real marketing campaign aimed at boosting sales as well as follower numbers.
