Psychological adaptation demands to oncological diagnosis of cervival cancer: quality of life and posttraumatic growth in the phase of disease remission

The presented thesis deals with psychological demands and specific factors of the adaptation to the oncological diagnosis "cervical cancer." The focus is on quality of life and posstraumatic growth of patients in the phase of disease remission. The theoretical part first introduces specifics of cervical cancer with consideration of patients' experience and then provides the issue of coping with the oncological disease in terms of coping and defense mechanisms. Then it elaborates the psychological adaptation to cancer disease with focus on other aspects linked to society, patients and disease altogether with problems in coping with oncological diagnosis. The theoretical part of the study is concluded with the description of demands and patients' experience in each clinical stage of the disease. The chapter of disease remis;sion is focused on theoretical background of life quality and posttraumatic growth concepts including an overview of tools for quantitative evaluation. The empirical part describes supporting psychological and other aspects, which help women to cope with cervical cancer. The divorce and its influence upon a children

The bachelor thesis entitled " The divorce and its influence upon a children" is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the family, mentions the types and functions of the family and its importance. The next part addresses divorce and divorce rate in the Czech Republic, while the following part describes the reactions of children and how they worked through their parents' divorce during their developmental stages. The next part is devoted to the children's rights in the divorce procedure. Last but not least, the thesis deals with cooperation with the Children Social and Legal Protection Authority (OSPOD) and custody of the child as well as their education. The practical part is mainly focused on the impact of divorce on children. The practical part consists of qualitative research that was based on semi-structured interviews with persons who personally experienced their parents' divorce. The practical part aims to find out how parents' divorce affects children in their personal lives, to what extent children are involved in the divorce and whether and to what extent are children allowed to comment on it. The diploma thesis deals with assisted contacts of parents and children in the Czech Republic. A functioning family is essential for a child's successful development and future life. Today, many families live where stability and well-functioning family relationships are not a matter of course. Family breakdowns are becoming a more common reality that not only adults but also children have to deal with and learn to live with. In today's world we can find many forms of family. A situation where a child grows up with only one parent may in some cases be more convenient than living in a dysfunctional conflicting family that does not provide the child with enough love. Nevertheless, the child is affected by this fact. The parents' attitude in how they deal with divorce or separation represents an important factor for successful development of a child.. If the parents manage to explain the situation clearly and appropriately, given the age to the child, or whether the parents manipulate the child and draw them into their problems, the child perceives it all. Social work with children with autism spectrum disorder

This bachelor thesis is focused on the topic of social work with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). There are two parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part we will find a description of particular types of PAS and topics connected to it, such as professions dealing with autistic disorder in children or non-profit organizations. The practical part presents a research focused on social workers. The main goal is to find out about their attitude to work with children with ASD, as well as their opinion regarding the public and its attitude towards these children. The research is also aiming to find out about the current situation with raising of public awareness about this mental disorder. Focus is put on how the public perceives and accepts children with ASD. There are two types of research used in thi thesis, qualitative and quantitative.

Part of the establishment is designed according to the requirements of the investor - dentist, for the dental office. The proposed building is located in a quiet part of the town of Velké Poříčí. The surrounding area consists of family houses with a maximum of 2 floors.
Approach of Child Protection Services to Addressing Parental Conflicts

Child protection is one of the most demanding fields of social protection and requires comprehensive solutions which have a major impact on the lives of children and their families. It also includes the agenda of parental conflicts and related child custody proceedings. This thesis focuses on the practice of Czech social workers operating in the field of child protection at the municipal authorities with extended powers and on their approaches used to resolve parental disputes. The theoretical part is based on the conceptualization of practice from the perspective of a dynamic model of practice by Karen Healy, which builds on the interaction of several contexts, i.e. institutional contexts, formal professional base of social work, service users and their communities and framework for practice, and surveys them with regard to the agenda of parental disputes in detail. The empirical part aims to identify the variability of approaches used by Czech social workers operating in the field of child protection to resolve parental disputes. A child with a disability in the process of arranging foster care

This bachelor thesis discusses the matter of children with disabilities going through the process of substitute family care. The first theoretical part describes the different types of disabilities and the specific needs of children with disabilities in the substitute family. It also summarises the process of placing children into the substitute family care and outlines the key principles of institutional facilities. The aim of the second, empirical part of this thesis, is to compare the experiences of social workers in institutional care with placing the children with disabilities into the substitute family care.

This bachelor's thesis focuses on problems related to the departure of young adults from children's homes. It describes problems that these people face when leaving such institutions. The thesis also describes subjects that are in relationships with clients during the time of their departure and therefore can inform them about opportunities for help and support. The aim of the methodological part is to discover how the young adults that leave children's homes are informed about opportunities for help and support. This part shows who informs young adults about organizations and services which often are their only source of help.
The comparison of Norwegian and Czech structure of the concept of "good parenting" by foster care social workers

This diploma thesis deals with sufficiently good parenthood from the perspective of social workers in the department of social and legal protection of children in the Czech Republic and Norway. The theoretical part deals with good parenting, social and legal protection of children and its institutions in the context of both countries, and with national and international legislative bases important for understanding the differences in the perception of respondents of both countries at this level. The research part focuses on the differences in the perception of sufficiently good parenthood by the respondents of the Czech Republic and Norway. Differences in respondents' views on individual areas of parenthood and in the concept of family law relationships from the perspective of the best interests of the child were mapped in a mixed study that combined quantitative and qualitative methodology. The quantitative data obtained in the first research study were processed by categorical data analysis, descriptive and correlation analysis. Child protection is one of the most demanding fields of social protection and requires comprehensive solutions which have a major impact on the lives of children and their families. It also includes the agenda of parental conflicts and related child custody proceedings. The thesis deals with the practice of child protection social workers at the municipal authorities with extended powers in the Czech Republic in solving parental disputes. The theoretical part introduces legal, educational and competence framework of child protection and sets it into the context of specific aspects and pitfalls associated with the profession and approach of child protection social workers to solving parental conflicts. It also provides recommendations on how to solve parental conflicts followed by a case study of child protection department at the Prague 8 Municipality District Authority. It identifies attributes of best practice that contribute to the best interests of the child, including participation of families, multidisciplinary cooperation, transparency of processes and neutrality, professionalism and reflexivity of child protection social workers.
