Fine particles emitted from laboratory combustion tests
Hájek, Ondřej ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is aimed at fine particles emitted from laboratory combustion tests of biomass. The theoretical part of this thesis is about common features and usual ways of using biomass. After this broad chapter there is specifically described combustion and all its products including emission of gasses and fine particles. The main task of this thesis is about an experiment combining two analyses. First is the thermogravimetric analysis and the second is measuring size and number of fine particles in the range of 18 to 550 nanometers. The final chapter is about evaluation of measured results from 4 different spruce samples.
Interesting cases of fluid mechanics
Čáp, Filip ; Hájek, Ondřej (referee) ; Jedelský, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the description of some interesting phenomena in the field of fluid mechanics, methods of flow visualization and its recording using a high-speed camera. First, a number of terms and different types of fluid flow are briefly introduced, which is followed by the description of the methods of visualization that enhance the visibility of flow of liquids and gases. The thesis also describes high-speed cameras and examines some interesting effects in fluid dynamics which can be encountered in everyday life as well as in engineering practice. The last chapter is then dedicated to the conducted experiments and their recordings.
Measurement and analysis of deposition of fibers from mineral wool in respiratory system
Hájek, Ondřej ; Elcner, Jakub (referee) ; Lízal, František (advisor)
This master thesis deals with inhalation of fine particles and fibres into human lungs. This is a scientific field where computer modelling is used to describe the movement of fibres and their deposition in the lungs. However, the results of these simulations must be verified experimentally. The prediction of fibres behaviour is important from a toxicology point of view where it is important to know deposition hot-spots and places where fibres could possibly cause problems. The review of the state-of-the-art is focused on the deposition of particles in human lungs followed with a chapter on fibre as a type of particle, and occupational exposure limits set by different world associations. The last theoretical chapter describes human lungs and its diseases which can evolve when limits for occupational exposure are not met. The experimental chapter consists of a description of the used experimental setup and results from an experiment together with a comparison of results with other similar experiments.

Telescopic tower of mobile drilling rig
Hájek, Ondřej ; Šťastný, Antonín (referee) ; Pokorný, Přemysl (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of the drilling rig tower. The goal of the diploma thesis, which is created in cooperation with MND, a.s., is to design a steel structure. Then perform a load analysis. Further, to perform a structural analysis using the Finite Element Method and to optimize the design.
Intermunicipal Cooperation in the Pilsen Region
Hájek, Ondřej ; Jüptner, Petr (advisor) ; Švec, Kamil (referee)
This thesis deals with the inter-municipal cooperation in the Pilsen region. In the theoretical part there is the concept of inter-municipal cooperation defined and the reasons behind the cooperation among the municipalities explained. These include efforts to overcome the fragmented municipal structure, more efficient and cheaper providing of the services and savings. In this thesis there are also the risks and limits of the inter-municipal cooperation mentioned and the attention is paid to the possible democratic deficits. The cooperation of the municipalities is also compared to the amalgamation of municipalities. The next section contains case studies of inter-municipal cooperation in selected European countries. The following section regards the Czech Republic, in which there is the development of municipal structures explored, as well as the legislative basis of the inter-municipal cooperation issues and also the causes that lead to cooperation between municipalities are assessed. After that, the attention is given to the voluntary associations of municipalities and micro-regions in the Pilsen region.

Pathtracing on GPU
Hájek, Ondřej ; Lysek, Tomáš (referee) ; Polok, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on acceleration of global illumination method called Pathtracing. The goal of this thesis is a demonstration and performance comparison of different implementations of this method on GPU as well as CPU. Implementation will compose of two scenes. One simpler to verify correctnes of used algorithm and one more complicated to demonstrate various effects. The effectiveness and efficiency of said implementations will be analyzed and compared. Additionally, future program expansion and improvements will be discussed.
Solution alternatives of lifting platform
Hájek, Ondřej ; Malach, František (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the possibility of mechanical design platform lifts. Proposal lifting platform with mechanical and hydraulic drive with a capacity of 3500 kg and lift 600 mm. The work is mainly focused on design and strength calculation mechanism and structure. Proposal hydraulic circuits and the development drawings for both types of drive.
Data diagnostics in modern car control units
Hájek, Ondřej ; Vítek, Richard (referee) ; Prokeš, Aleš (advisor)
Presented Diploma thesis is aimed on design and implementation of car diagnostic interface of engine control units EDC. Diagnostic interface provide communication between car and computer by USB interface. User will be able to task commands by developed computer application. For developing application is necessary to get information about used protocols and basic knowledge in car’s hardware. Understanding OBD2 standard and communication protocol CAN, eventually KWP is necessary for design the solution. Main purpose of this thesis is to store enough usable information about car diagnostic for future continuation.
