The thesis deals with the translation of three articles from German magazine art - Das Kunstmagazin and their commentary. The aim is to develop such translations that could be published in adequate scientific Czech magazine which deals with current world's art ambient. The thesis consists of two major parts: the translation itself and a commentary based on contrast comparison of Czech and German languages. The comparison implements grammatical, lexical and syntax aspects. The commentary reflects translational problems and strategies as were defined by Jiří Levý. The commentary is also based on translational analysis of extratextual and intratextual factors by Christiane Nord. Thesis exceptionally focuses on frequent anglicisms, composites, as well as phraseologisms and metaphors in the text and their functioning in the original language and the language of the translation.

The aim of the submitted bachelor's thesis is to translate the article Roboter mit Entdeckerlust by Ralf Der and Nihat Ay and to comment the translation. The commentary is divided into four parts. The first part is a translation analysis based on the model of Christiane Nord. The next part focuses on a description of the used translation methods. The third part consists of a typology of translation problems, that occured in the translation process, and examples of their solutions. The commentary is concluded by a typology of translation shifts.

This bachelor thesis consists of a translation from German into Czech, an expert commentary and an attachment - the original text. The commentary has four parts: translation analysis according to Christiane Nord, description of the translation method I chose for my translation, solutions of translation problems in the area of lexis, syntax, stylistics and pragmatics and the same typology of the shifts I have done during translating. The aim of the thesis is to present some articles of GEOEPOCHE and, at the same time, to show possibilities of working with a translated text and to solve translation problems so that they do not sound inappropriate in the final translation. The subject of this Bachelor thesis is an annotated translation of an original German text into Czech. The translated text includes the first two chapters from a book by Hermann Haken and Maria Haken-Krell called Gehirn und Verhalten. Unser Kopf arbeitet anders, als wir denken. The thesis is composed of two parts, of the translation and a commentary. The commentary includes a translation oriented analysis of the original text, the concept and methods of translation and a typology of translation problems and their solutions on different textual levels, followed by a typology of translation shifts. The commentary is based on translation textbooks by Ch. Nord, J. Levý, D. Knittlová and A. Popovič.

The topic of this Bachelor Thesis is a translation of a non-fiction text from German and a professional commentary to that translation. The text for the translation was chosen from the internet server www.novaesium.de. It consists of several chapters from the text, the goal of which is to give a brief description of the history of the Germanic peoples. There will be translated all chapters except for chapters II. Die germanischen Stämme, VI. Tracht, Schmuck und Bewaffnung and VIII. Landwirtschaft und Siedlungswesen. The reason for shortening is mainly the extent of the entire text as compared to the extent of the planned Bachelor Thesis. The commentary to the translation is concerned with a translation analysis of the text, that means an analysis of intratextual and extratextual factors according to Ch. Nord, and with a description of the used methods and typologies of translation problems and shifts.

The thesis includes the translation of a part of the article Ein halbes Leben. Vier Kurzporträts aus einer Arbeitswelt im Umbruch from the German magazine Aus Politik und Zeitgeschichte. In the form of an interview it describes the working life of four individual people. A commentary consisting of four parts follows after the translation. The first part is the analysis of the extratextual factors, the second part is the analysis of the intratextual factors. In the third part I deal with the translation problems and their solutions.
