Testing of gnostic proprioceptive modality
Paříková, Zuzana ; Kolář, Pavel (advisor) ; Doubková, Lucie (referee)
Targets: The aim of the diploma thesis was to create the set of tests on proprioception processing with focus on kinesthesia, stereognosis, body image, vision-excluded space orientation and proprioceptive shape imagination acuity. The tests are supposed to be easy for practical utilization and enabling objective results gaining. In future, they could become a part of adults' dyspraxy testing. Further we intended to investigate possible relations between particular items of testing battery MABC-2 (Movement Assessment Battery for Children 2nd ) and the set of tests on proprioception. Participants: 35 healthy members took place in testing, 11 boys and 24 girls (13,1-15,7). Method: Participants first underwent testing according to the testing battery MABC-2 for the age group 11 - 16 years (AB 3) for screening into categories of development coordination disorder. Subsequently the testing of proprioceptive modality was performed, targeted on kinesthesia, stereognosis, body image, vision-excluded space orientation and on proprioceptive imagination of a shape. Data Analysis: Data analysis has been performed in the statistical environment R-project (version 3.4.0). Following statistic tools have been utilized: the Pearson's correlation coefficient and two- tailed unpaired t-test. Results: The relation of...
Comparison of the size of scoliosis curve in patients with idiopathic scoliosis from x-ray picture and rasterstereography record
Bilinkiewiczová, Eva ; Lepšíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Doubková, Lucie (referee)
Scoliosis is defined as a patological curvature of spinal cord of more than 10ř in frontal plane which is combined with rotation of vertebral bodies and also with disruption of fyziological curvatures in sagittal plane. Idiopathic scoliosis is the most frequent type of this diagnosis. The thesis deals with overal issue of this disease, theories of etiology, incidence, classification, types of examination, possibilities of new testing and therapy. The practical part describes rasterstereographic DIERS Formetric III 4D testing and coparison with RTG examination. The study was carried out with 17 girls and 1 boy with idiopathic scoliosis 11 - 46ř at the age of 11 - 17 years. Results of this testing were statistically analysed. Best results were found out in measurements by automatically set range for a group of patients with Cobb angle ≤ 25ř - for 95% differences the limits of correspondance were ± 4ř, the average error was 0,3ř. For group of all patients the limits of correspondance were ± 14ř, the average error was 1,5ř. The results confirmed, that with an increase of Cobb ange a bigger error and systematic error appears.
Retrograde study of the effect of the shock ware therapy for the functional disorders of the musculosceletal system
Horáková, Kateřina ; Doubková, Lucie (advisor) ; Veselá, Jana (referee)
This thesis assesses the effectiveness of shock wave therapy for dysfunctional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. While we are well aware of the physical principles and history of shock wave generators, opinion differs on the treatment effectiveness mechanisms. The theoretical part of this work explains the effects of shock waves on various types of tissue, the differentiation of the cells, and the analgetic effect of therapy. It summarizes the indications, side effects and contraindications of shock wave therapy. The research part of this thesis deals with the effectiveness of shock wave therapy at the Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine at the Motol University Hospital, which specialises in various musculoskeletal disorders. This thesis evaluates the correlation between the effectiveness of shock wave therapy and length of time the patient has experienced difficulties before undergoing treatment. This thesis also reviews whether the number of treatment applications has the capability to influence the outcome of therapy. The study is controlled by a control group of 22 patients. The total effectiveness of shock wave therapy is p = 1,12*10-10 . The shock wave therapy effectiveness of patients with heel spur is p = 0,00176. The shock wave therapy effectiveness of patients with...
Influence of defferent kinds of running shoes on stability and risk of injury in long - distance runners
Krchová, Zuzana ; Čakrt, Ondřej (advisor) ; Doubková, Lucie (referee)
The main problems concerning birth of running injuries is their unclear ethiopathogenesis and high frequency. Injuries are often lined with forces affected on tread-down which have to be defused by running shoes. There are also opinions that currently used footwear can cause injuries on the contrary. This work explores impact of particular types of running shoes for influencing of stability. Methods: There are compared two groups of runners: minimalists and classic runners. Their stability is examined with help of posturography in three versions: barefoot, classic and minimalistic footwear. Thereafter there is analyzed relation among stability, used footwear, training usage and frequency of injuries. Results: Minimalists and classic runners have the same stability while they are barefoot. Usage of footwear does not cause significant deterioration of stability in any of groups. Nevertheless most of runners subjectively evaluate the variant of testing barefoot as the simplest. There is more frequent occurence of flat foot among classic runners in comparison with minimalists. Flat foot increases risk of formation injuries, on the contrary, regular compensation motion activity decreases this risk.
E tiopathogenesis and conservative therapy options for lower extremity radicular syndrome
Polatová, Hana ; Kubíček, Miloslav (advisor) ; Doubková, Lucie (referee)
The thesis is developed in the form of research with a case study of a patient. The thesis consists of a systematic overview of issues connected with radicular syndromes of lower extremities, including anatomical, kinesiological and in particular ethiopathogenetical knowledge. Part of the work describes clinical symptoms of radicular syndromes of lower extremities, its diagnosis and differential diagnosis. Conservative therapy is presented in relation to physiotherapy and its efficiency is evaluated. The findings are applied in an attached case study of a patient). The thesis emphasises specifics of conservative therapy while focusing on empirical findings in the field of rehabilitation and musculoskeletal medicine. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Tendinopathy of Achilles tendon
Bilinkiewiczová, Eva ; Dejmková, Eva (advisor) ; Doubková, Lucie (referee)
Tendinopathy of Achilles tendon is a degenerative disease which affects mid-portion or insertional part of the tendon. The bachelor's thesis deals with the overal issue of this disease, theories of etiology, clinical manifestation, kinds of examination, diferencial diagnosis and types of therapy and focuses on conservative therapy. The thesis is supplemented with a case report of patient, who followed rules of recommended therapy on the basis on used studies, with final evaluation of patient's state of health. Conservative treatment options of diastasis musculi recti abdominis
Kunzová, Karolina ; Doubková, Lucie (advisor) ; Šafářová, Marcela (referee)
This work deals with diastasis of rectus abdominal muscle. The aim was to compare the effect of two conservative procedures for closing the abdominal wall defect. There were twelve women divided into two groups who were educated to exercise daily for half a year. The first group practiced dynamic neuromuscular stabilization (DNS) according to Kolář. The second group analytically strengthened the rectus abdominis muscle with manual correction of the abdominal wall. Both groups achieved a significant (p <0.05) reduction in maximum width and total area defined by the edge of the rectus abdominis muscle. Total length of diastasis was significantly reduced only within the first group of women. Both approaches have influence on the closing of diastasis. All patients in the first group reported a significant relief from back pain after a six-month exercise and three out of the four experienced adjustment of incontinence at the same time. Back pain persisted in the second group and incontinence resolved at two out of the three women.
