Research-like education in primary schools

In this thesis, we assume a pan-European issue of the decline of interest in science and science education. In connection with this issue we conducted a literature search. We have also mapped the literature related to the issue of education research in the Czech Republic and the rest of the world. In an effort to increase pupils' interest, increase enthusiasm for science, we deal with activation teaching methods that compare with frontal teaching. As a motivational method we chose a research method of teaching. We prepared a lesson, which we tested among pupils of secondary school. In this work we watched 16 hours in 6 classes. Those lectures were inquiry and frontal way led. The results are presented in the practical part of this thesis. During lectures we wanted to stimulate students' interest in science and science research. Breeding of White Cockatoos in the Czech Republic and their Rearing and Breeding Administration

Background: This thesis deals about breeding and rearing white cockatoo in the Czech Republic. The work was conducted through a questionnaire about terms of compiling breeding pair, breeding and breeding conditions, additional feeding methods and kinds of mixtures for feeding and additional feeding. For the research part was used an electronic questionnaire where was collected 34 answers. This thesis includes research and comparison about rearing of 9 own white cockatoos. Objectives: The aim of this work was to describe breeding of white cockatoo in the Czech Republic to give an idea about this kind of parrots to the breeders of exotic parrots. As the first work about breeding and rearing fledgling based on questionnaires, which is complemented by administrative data on hand-rearing several fledglings of white cockaoo. Methods: Data were collected by using structured questionnaire for breeders of white cockatoo in the Czech Republic. The questionnarie was about breeding and rearing this kind of Cockatoo. For the analysis of the development and weight gain of the fledglings was used an administrative monitoring of own breed of white cockatoo. Sex education and sexual behaviour of high school students

The topic of this diploma thesis is sexual behaviour and sex education. The adolescent body goes through important biological changes that are reflected in the adolescent behaviour. The aim of this thesis is to describe and summarize the biological changes occurring in adolescence and show their connection to sexual, social, emotional and cognitive development in adolescence. The thesis also describes the psychological aspects of adolescence as well as the changes in cognition and the emotionality. Moreover, it also focuses on the development of human sexual behaviour. Finally, the theoretical part defines the theoretical basis of sex education and describes the current state of integration of sex education into the education system of the Czech Republic. Finally, this thesis also aims to analyse attitudes towards sex education of high-school students depending on the sex and type of attended high school, as well as to map experiences in sexual life of the first-year high- school students. Sleep Problems in Children and Adolescents

( Sleep Problems in Children and Adolescents ) The main topic of the thesis is the issue of sleep in children and adolescents. The theoretical part deals with the physiology of sleep and sleep disorders. The practical part were processed by means of qualitative and quantitative research . The aim of our thesis and our research was to determine the incidence of sleep disorders in different age categories. The aim of the qualitative part was to determine the causes and effects of sleep disorders in children and adolescents. In practice , the qualitative part certainly importance , especially for teachers , case reports indicate that some other sleep disorders affect child development , behavior and school performance. In this thesis we compare the quantitative survey targeted four designated groups of children . One group of preschool children are 1-6 years old . The second group consists of a sample of pupils of primary school 7 - 11 years . The penultimate group of children at the elementary school , aged 12 - 15 years. The last group are secondary school students aged 16-18 years . At the beginning of quantitative research, we set three hypotheses. Hypothesis 1 were not confirmed . Interactions of apes and monkeys in tropical pavilons in the Prague zoo

Interactions of apes and monkeys in tropical pavilons in the Prague zoo The thesis is focused on the observation and subsequent assessment of the social behavior of primates, who are kept in a zoological garden. Part of the work is devoted to general characteristics of primates and their systematic classification. It also contains specific information about Prague zoological garden and its history. This work describes mutual interaction and social behavior of individuals within particular species of primates and their behavior once placed in common exhibition together with other animal species, both in closed quarters or pavilion, as well as in free range. The main objective of my work was to observe and evaluate social behavior from the point of view of both above mentioned cases. From the longtime observation we can conclude whether different groups of primates were gathered appropriately and if any mutual conflicts among them have occurred and could threaten the stability and relationship within monitored group. Regarding the contact with other animal species it was verified by the observation that chosen combination supports animal husbandry and helps the zoo staff to create better terms and conditions for breeding, corresponding to natural environment as much as possible. The thesis "Analysis of used Natural history and Biology textbooks in terms of anthropology, the morphology and anatomy of human" is largely empirical work. The aim was to determine the didactis and the difficulty of textbooks which are available in the Czech Republic for the 8th grade of elementary school. The work is complemented with research of using the textbooks in primary schools and lower grammar school in Trebic. The used methods were 2 analysis, according to the specific criteria and own questionnaire for teachers of the subject. Analysis of textbooks is based on the methodology of Prof. Průcha a Doc. Hrabí. Development of Motor Skills of Primary School Children Assessed by the Test of the School Readines

The purpose of my research was to determine the level of motor skills and school readiness in preschool and primary school children. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part deals with development of motor skills, school maturity and characteristics of preschool and primary school period. Practical part includes the results of testing fine motor skills and rough motor ability using the assesment of the test of the school readiness.
