Volhejn, Pavel ; Svoboda, David (advisor) ; Machula, Tomáš (referee)
The bachelor's thesis provides a commentary on those parts of the Theological Summa of Thomas Aquinas, which relate to the last goal of man, the state of bliss, and tries to update these questions to make Thomas' ideas and philosophy of bliss accessible to today's man. The Metaphysics of Thomas Aquinas a object-oriented paradigm
Fiala, Jiří ; Svoboda, David (advisor) ; Peroutka, David (referee)
This thesis deals with the inspiration from god's creation in computer science and mostly in object-oriented paradigm (OOP), which is the basis of object-oriented programming. We also note that OOP is not just one inspiration used in computer science from the creation, but is a part of wider group, where we can discover an intelligent principle encapsulated in God's creation. In this thesis we mostly note the fact that OOP is like Thomas Aquinas metaphysis in terms of its abstraction of creation. Although this fact is not new, this issue is not discussed enough in computer science and in theology vice versa. Hence that is why we are discussing this issue. Based on available sources and own studies we offer practical examples used in OOP and comparing them with adequate ontology of Thomas Aquinas. With respect to available publications, we also remark nowadays knowledge to this issue.

The bachelor thesis deals with analysis of the cybersecurity of photovoltaic systems for single-family houses. The aim of the thesis was to introduce hybrid photovoltaic systems, possible cyber attacks on these systems and to perform a sample attack on a PV system. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The bachelor thesis contains four chapters. The first and second chapters describe the concepts related to cyber attacks and PV systems. Chapter three deals with the Solax X3-Hybrid inverter, its characteristics, vulnerabilities and the communication protocols used. The fourth chapter includes testing of the LAN and Wi-Fi dongles through which the inverter communicates.
Noise Protection from Sanitary Installations
Svoboda, David ; Berková, Petra ; Čupr, Karel
This review article deals with noise and vibration arising from the operation of sanitary installations – wastewater and freshwater plumbing. The first part describes the most commonly occurring sources of noise and vibration from such installations and possible ways of propagation. The second part sets out the measurement methodology and the differences in legislative requirements among countries. In the third part of the paper, principles of noise protection and modifications to sanitary installations are described.
Application of the principle of autonomy in the field of death and dying of seniors in the Czech Republic
D´mello, Petra ; Fošum, Jan (advisor) ; Svoboda, David (referee)
Diploma thesis "Application of the principle of autonomy in the field of death and dying of seniors in the Czech Republic" primaly deals with issues related to the right to self-determination, human dignity and desires associated with the end of life. It seeks to answer the question of the extent to which the autonomy of the individual can be respected and to participate in end-of-life healthcare decisions through the legal concept of living will, even if the person is in a position that does not allow to express the will. Although this institute is firmly rooted in the legal order of the Czech Republic, awareness of this legal concept is insufficient among the public and rarely used, unlike the Federal Republic of Germany, where the institute is usually applied by seniors. The aim of the work is to reflect the current issues of dying and death from an ethical point of view and provide comprehensive information on the current possibilities of exercising the right to self-determination, which can significantly support the quality of human care in the terminal phase of life.
New apartment building
Křičenský, Adam ; Svoboda, David (referee) ; Čuprová, Danuše (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor’s thesis is the processing of the design documentation for execution of an apartment building. Designed building is located in Hrochův Týnec. The access to the building is from the south. The plot is flat and it disposes with parking places for nineteen cars. It is a building with three above-ground floors and partial basement that is designed with a total 8 dwelling units. The structural system of the designed building is wall system. All vertical structures are made of clay brick. The exception are external walls in the basement, that is designed of concrete blocks (permanent formwork). The horizontal structures are designed of prefabricated rib-and-filler floor that is made of ceramic concrete ceiling beams, ceramic inserts and overconcrete. The conection structure of the building is the cast-in-place reinforced concrete staircase. The roof is designed as a green flat roof in combination with the walkeble flat roof. The roof above the stairwell is designed as a non-walkeble flat roof. The thermal insulation of the whole object is made of the ETICS certified contact thermal insulation system. The apperance of the building is completed by facade colours that are selected in shades of white, light gray and dark gray.
Effect of Noise on Image Compression
Pavlík, Jiří ; Svoboda, Pavel (referee) ; Bařina, David (advisor)
This thesis examines effect of different types of noise on performance of significant image compression formats. Three different types of noise are examined, Gaussian noise, Gaussian noise with bigger granularity and shot noise. Two older loosy image compression formats JPEG and JPEG 2000 are compared with newer format WebP. This examination is based on results of experiments with images, which are intentionally degraded by noise, then compressed to examined formats and compared with result of experiments for original images without noise. The effect of noise on performance of comparised formats is based on image quality metric SSIM. From results of experiments, Gaussian noise with bigger granularity seems to be the least distruptive from all types of noises. The other two types of noise have much more dwindling effect on quality of images.
Civic amenities building
Tesař, Ondřej ; Svoboda, David (referee) ; Berková, Petra (advisor)
The aim of this Master´s project is the design of the elementary art school in Slavkov u Brna. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part deals with architectural and structural design of the building, the second part with design of selected building services, and the third part with a noise study of the building. The building has two floors and a flat green roof. It is operationally divided into two sections with a common entrance - the art school itself and the concert hall. The first section consists of the office, six classrooms, a room for music theory, a choir room, a storage room, and sanitary facilities. The second section includes the concert hall, gallery, foyer, prep room, and sanitary facilities. The technical equipment of the building is located on the second floor. The building has load-bearing ceramic masonry walls, based on plain concrete foundation strips. The floor and roof structures are designed as cast-in-place reinforced concrete slabs. The partitions design is ceramic masonry units and acoustic plasterboard walls. The facade design combines greenery and ventilated cladding. The design building services include heating with two heat pumps, ventilation and cooling with two air ventilation systems, rainwater management for toilet flushing, artificial lighting, and photovoltaic power plants for the building services. The noise study covers issues of sound insulation of the building structures, reverberation time in selected rooms, and an urban acoustic study. The result is the correct design of the building in terms of acoustic comfort.
